오늘 나는 갤러들을 볼생각과 쿠를 볼 생각에 기대가 넘쳐있었지.

그리고 2마넌을 챙겨서 친구랑 전시회로 갔어( 아흙 요번에 쓴돈 왜케마늠?)

아직 쿠는 도착안하고 입구에서 스노줄리횽들,쿠갤횽들은 있었는지는 몰겠어,공카횽들

그다음 떡밥이 날아왔지. 쿠 매니저차량이었나가 갑자기 쑥~!하더니

그리고 우루루 몰려들어가는 틈에 난 기념품을 사고 쿠매니저가 단체로 사진찍어주겟대서

다른 단체들 찍을대 많이 찍어뒀어 ㅋㅋㅋ 우리 단체사진은 매니저나 다른 분들 카메라에 있을듯

난 쿠 바로 뒤에 서서 찍음 ^^ 다른 누님들 다 옆에 있는데 나만 뒤 ㅠㅠ 남자가 나혼자라 뻘쭘...

Hyesun is really playful and happy there during the interview, very different from the shy side of her in the Taiwan interview. I really like the lady host too, she seems as if she's very interested in the topic she's asking, i think it makes things comfortable for hyesun too.

The group is called "Sechs Kies". I like hye sun in the video, she's so jolly and bubbly esp where she answered abt drinking and time for love. LOL.

did anyone find the caricature she drew reminiscent of the goo junpyo face she drew in BOF? THe eyebrows and nose were somewhat similar.. haha.. but i remembered the junpyo face in BOF seemed to follow the original in the manga.

yah GHS definitely looked happy and bubbly in her interview u could tell she's happy..her aura simply says it all. ur right she treated the thing about drinking in such a funny way..i think its not a big deal for her anyway, she even makes fun of it and always tells the story behind it with such good humor, u could say she enjoys retelling that story over and over..and besides,,knowing LMH he would really joke about it if it meant something to HS - that's how well they know each other keke

HM as narrator: Now there is LMH. HM narrates that, even in his busy schedule, LMH came to the gallery with all smiles. (I wonder why HM did not say anything negative to LMH?) HM asks what LMH thinks of GHS’s work. I cannot hear what he said the first time, but, on the screen are words. “she draws really well”. Then LMH calls GHS, “Goo Artist, Hye Sun”.

I think Minhoo is really PROUD of Hyesun's accomplishments calling her "Goo, artist, hye sun" is that "the artist goo hye sun" in english? i really like how minhoo made time for HS and supported her exhibit. He even prepared a gift for her .. that's so sweet!

HM: It seems like you are always working so hard. When do you have time to ‘love’?

오늘은 정말로 행복하고 기쁘고 뿌듯하고...

말로 다 표현할수가 없다...

쇟은 줄리언니들과 12시부터 만나서 쿠를 기다렸지..

쿠가 올지 안올지 모르는 상태였지만 하나도 지루하지가 않았어..

그리고 공카분들과도 잠시 만나고 보고 싶었던 잔디 리뷰북도 보고 쇟의 글도 확인하고~ㅎㅎㅎ

너무 너무 놀랐고 진심 감탄했다~!!!

5시 30분이 조금지나자 쿠 매니져가 오더라고..그래서 쿠도 오냐고 물었지...조금 이따 온다고~^^

몇분후 우리 쿠가 자체발광을 하며 인사동 거리에 등장하고~!!!!

사람들은 흥분의 도가니~

A male fan from DCGallery is wrting about his experience meeting GHS, her manager, her parents and sister at the Gallery La Mer. He says he took money in the amount of 20,000won. (I wonder if this is the amount that was donated? I wonder how much is that in dollars.) He says he was going to the gallery with a high expectation of meeting GHS and many of other fans from other fansites. He mmentioned snowjulie, koogal, and koogong, etc. He says the pic shown are not from his own fansite but from other fans because those pictures of fans from his fansite are in GHS' managers' camera. He took these pcitures while GHS was taking pic with other fans so that he can have pic of GHS. He was really happy that he made eye contact with GHS before she drove away and she greeted him. He thought he was going to fly away,,,, Wow to meet her entire family and the manager in one sitting!

(It apears that these fan groups can get in contact with GHS or her manager directly because he knew he was going to meet her today. WOW!! I wonder if we can do that. WE are her ardent fans?!! Love the idea of having an all English fansite for her. I noticed in the Daum Cafe some of the articles are already written in English becasue some of the fans are practicing their English writing. One was about KHJ and GHS. I will look for it and post it. There is no "contact me" button so I did not know how to contact anybody at Daum Cafe.)

ALSO, DOES anybody know how I may be able to order some of the products for sale at her show? I really liked her mugs with her favorite flower design. Loved to buy several for keeps and to give for presents and if she has copies of her art--that would be fantastic. Please let me know. Thank you.

Oh and the lyrics Sus..they're like cutting through a person.. it has a lot of bitterness and angst but at the same time there's an element of letting go too. So she's like exorcising herself from the pains that her love brought her ...

much like her paintings dun u think? u get a feeling of organized chaos.. like u can say the artist is perturbed and her angst are all over - from her strokes to the overall imagery, but u also get a feeling of contentment and serenity wen u look at it. Like her senses are fazed but the polished way by which she drew them gives u a feeling of inner contentment and a peaceful reconciliation with her angst. It's as if the paintings want to make u feel that she's letting go - through the seemingly floating images, as if she wants to soar and abandon her confusions. Much like her songs, her book and her paintings..they all tell us the pain she's been through and how she manage to absorb them in, let them go, and finally reach the emotional calm in the end.

Wonder women, eye candy herald TV's New Year

State-run broadcaster KBS is greeting the New Year with not one but two dramas: a remake of the iconic classic "Boys over Flowers" and the epic "Iron Empress."

Historical romance "Iron Empress" hatches its 80-episode-long tale tomorrow night, spicing up the Goryeo Dynasty with the bloody escapades of a warrior woman played by veteran actress Chae Si-ra.

Chae, the feline beauty who enchanted and frightened audiences in KBS' "Sea God (2004)," reprises her role as a ruthless Amazon in the upcoming drama.

"Men have been playing the lead in historical romances," said Chae, 40, at a press conference held on Dec. 19. "Now, I think it is time for women to do so. This drama will show people that there was an awesome and brave female leader during the Goryeo Dynasty."

Fearsome would be a more accurate description of the heroine, who is aptly called the Iron Empress. The fourth wife of Goryeo Dynasty founder Taejo Wanggeon, the empress ruled as the regent for her son Mokjong, the dynasty's seventh ruler.

Determined to realize her ambitious goals for the kingdom of Goryeo, she dons armor, battles against foreign invaders, and tramples her lover, her son and brother in her rise to power. The audience is invited to watch her transform into a cold-hearted warrior.

"Every year we do a big scale drama," said Senior Producer/Director of KBS Drama Team 2 Choi Jee-yeong, 39. "It represents KBS. Last year we did 'King Sejong.' Usually we cover the Joseon Dynasty, but this one looks into the Goryeo Dynasty."

Highlighting the gory reign of an empress, endowing her with a warrior's skills and the brain of a brilliant politician, KBS' big scale drama sets the tone for 2009. The conniving queen no longer serves as the villainess of the period piece, but takes center stage. Hamlet is relegated to the corner and Gertrude gets the limelight.

The maneuver compels female audiences to tune into a hitherto male-dominated genre. And as if in response to some divine plan, KBS is also giving women some serious eye candy with its new Monday and Tuesday night drama "Boys over Flowers."

Based on the hit comic series of the same name, many would agree that "Boys" derives its popularity from F4; or four good-looking and wealthy male characters.

The first TV drama version, produced in Taiwan, catapulted the four leading actors to fame. It was followed by the Japanese TV version, which also garnered success. And now, KBS looks set to hit yet another homerun with the perennial favorite.

"Boys" director Jun Ki-sang has a track record for popular, if hackneyed, dramas like KBS' "Delightful Girl Choon-hyang (2005)" and SBS' "My Girl (2006)," making him a perfect fit for the lighthearted comic book fantasy.

"The production company and the original comic book publisher requested that we make this drama as close to the original as possible," said director Jun in a press conference on Dec. 22.

"At first I rejected the offer to direct because it has already been produced in other countries. But when the offer came again and they said that the expectations of Koreans were different. I felt that there were challenges to be met."

A sort of "Pride and Prejudice" for Asian audiences, the surefire story of a poor girl, her rich suitor and her three knights need not rely on the potentially diverse expectations of a nation's audience to ensure its success. In the words of production company Group Eight's "Boys over Flowers" project manager Bae Jong-byung: "I think people will watch it because it is a well-written and fun story. It will do well as a remake."

The key, however, lies in the charm of its four leading actors and the pluck of its solitary heroine. All four male leads bear an uncanny resemblance to their comic book counterparts, which could be partly due to the extensive auditioning process they underwent.

Leader of the boy band SS501 Kim Hyun-joong stands out as Hanazawa Rui, called Yoon Ji-hoo in the Korean version. His sweet and quirky antics in the hit MBC reality show "We Got Married (2008)" have already made him something of a celebrity, and his role as the introverted, aloof yet cavalier Rui promises to attract more female fans.

"When we did the kiss scene, I was very nervous," said Kim Hyun-joong, 22, referring to his scene with Koo Hye-sun, who plays the heroine. "Koo Hye-sun said, 'Just do it.' We finished filming after 10 takes."

"10 kisses," he iterated with a grin. Actress Koo Hye-sun, smiled when asked about the 10-kiss scene, before stating: "There were technical issues." "My character could be a target for envy because she becomes a Cinderella in an instant. I think it would be best to live vicariously through her."

Koo, who gained popularity as the lead in the period drama "The King and I (2007)," is taking on the role of Makino Tsukushi - called Geum Jan-di in the Korean version. The heroine is first pestered and ostracized by four of the most popular boys at her school before winning them over with her pluck and strength.

Actor Lee Min-ho will be playing Koo's love interest, Domyoji Tsukasa, called Goo Joon-pyo in the Korean version. Actor Kim Bum and rapper Kim Joon will be playing the remaining two male leads. "Boys" airs its first episode on Monday on KBS 2 TV at 9:55 p.m.

Nothing new in this segment. At the end she said that she feels a bit ashamed that people might think that she is putting out too much for display (i.e. her novel, exhibit, short movie, upcoming album, etc). Thanks for the subbed videos! now i can finally understand the entire clip. I like how she's so open and bubbly when she speaks.... she even picked up on the fans asking about the kiss scenes and said "kiss scenes?" while laughing, unlike her response in recent interviews where she'd smile and be shy to reply. The host is really funny, she'd scold the fans for being too direct and yet turn to hyesun and ask the exact same thing... i just like the vibe they exude...

Hyesun looks really young like in her early twenties in the red cardigan and jeans... her fans look really happy. I see the lady clutching hyesun's arm in the photo. And i love the picture of her driving!!

i've forgotten whether i read what susAmerica translated or from baidu that hyesun was contemplating whether she should choose roles like jandi again or choose something entire different. Although i'd like her to venture into different roles, i'd also hope that she choose happy roles since she's said that the roles influence her personality.

dear sorry to cut your post......now I understand why in an interview KHJ said that during their kissing scene some are deep some are light it took them ten takes/10 kisses....but they are still awkward/not close after that....this two are just unbelievable!!AMAZING!!

Beautifully put. Thank you. It is funny how Jihoo's grandfather in BOF stated that Jihoo's parents' dream was to heal through art and music. GHS also stated in her book that writing helped her and she found it difficult to stay away from her urge to write. I am sure it was the same for her composing and drawing and more.

But I get the feeling after reading her Vogue interview that she will not go into any new relationship with full force. She is going to be cautious and I doubt she will open up as much. She may want a relationship very badly but I really wonder if she will trust that easily.

In Happy Together show, MC Yoo asked her which relationship she would actually choose in real life, Joonpyo's or Jihoo's. GHS said that she would choose neither. Her reason, if you remember, is that if she has to think that hard or go through that much pain, she wonders if such relationship is worth it. At that time I thought of her as a person who just wanted life to be simple, easy, practical, unromantic and maybe even a bit unrealistic because unfortunately I think there is always some type of effort and harship. I really did not know her then as I feel I do a little more now. I understand now where her statement at Happy Together was coming from. It is a statement from a person who went through too much pain before and she will no longer tolerate it. I could even understand her now when she once said that she will not marry someone if there is an opposition from either side of the family. She was saying it would be too much for her to deal with any more pain. At least that is my interpretation.

It also reminded me of her book, Tango. The main character, after a painful break up, goes for a very practical relationship with a wealthy, older man already ready to marry her--a complete package of what she may have wanted without the burden of emotional investment. Of course the main character finally does meet someone and both fall in love together but even that does not end very well (I hope I did not give away too much plot for those who want to read the book--sorry).

Although i'd like her to venture into different roles, i'd also hope that she choose happy roles since she's said that the roles influence her personality.

Yes, I totally agree with you. I hope she takes on a role even stronger than Jandi---maybe even somebody who can be crafty and witty as well---someone lilke Scarlett from Gone with the Wind, GHS's favorite heroin. Jandi was strong but she was too good and dealt with all the pain by herself way too much. I hope the next role is not so sacrificing and not so apologizing yet just as lovable and deep. I hope she takes time to find the right script or write one herself and star in it too! Why not!!!
