Been a while since I've been on this thread. The teasers are great. I'm super glad this version is following the manga but I kind of hope they change jaehee's purpose (to be a boy and go to genie high) to something more than just simply because she likes him. Kind of like what the Japanese version did. Either way I'm sure the drama will be super fun to watch and man am I anticipating it soooo much!!! At first I wanted to watch this because Im curious to see how it is compare to the Japanese version. But now with the teasers I am hooked to Sulli. She is so good. I'm a proud fan


 Because I watched the teasers soooo many times, I am loving the song and can't wait until the ost is release. I'm totally going to purchase the ost and of course the drama when it comes out. :x :x :x

I'll admit I'm still apprehensive about this drama but it's not due to the cast but because of the director (still not over the trauma that was BOF). After watching the teasers I can't help but be excited for it now, don't know much about Sulli but I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt when it comes to her role because generally I loved all the previous actresses who have played Mizuki (fingers crossed she'll be on  the list after the first 2 episodes). As for Minho if I was to choose an idol to act as Sano he would've been in my Top 3 choices the other two would've been either 2PM Chansung or BIGBANG T.O.P purely because of height LOL. I'm cheering for these two and hope the over-all drama lives up to my expectations or at least keeps me entertained.

SHINee’s Minho Shines as a Gold Medalist

While he′s not participating in the 2012 London Olympics, SHINee’s Minho received a gold medal in SBS’ upcoming drama To the Beautiful You

On July 31, released photos showed Minho, who is acting as Kang Tae Jun in To the Beautiful You, winning the gold after participating in the high jump event at the Junior World Championships.

For the filming that took place, Minho endured the sweltering heat and continued to showcase impressive jumps and athletic ability for his character.

Known for his incredibly competitive side, Minho rejoiced as if it was a real event every time he jumped over the pole.

A drama staff member said, “Minho is currently living as Kang Tae Jun,” and added “He’s doing his best to perfectly portray the high-jump athlete that Tae Jung is. Please look forward to Minho as he dreams to become the best high jump athlete in this drama.

To the Beautiful You will premiere on SBS on August 15.

The real location of Genie School is in MokWon University  not in HanKook School of Foreign Studies which I shared before ... The source made a mistake and mislead me. #-o #-o
I double checked again the school and comparing it to the shooting pics and videos of the drama...:-?
The school location is really in MokWon University located in Daejeon . #:-S

Chungcheongnam-do is a province  located in the west of South Korea. (Anmyeondo is also located in this province)

Most of the scenes of the drama are located in  Chungcheongnam-do

i always imagine someone like strong and fit so chansung was the first choice for me.

top is like no way. hes like a sort of bad boy type so doesnt fit sano let alone match sulli. plus, sorry to top fans but i dont think he can do jumps let alone run a mile. looks too angry

no for yonghwa for me as well because i cant see him with sulli at all. he has the fun comedic big brother vibe. running man gave me that image as well as him mcing with sulli

i considered shin won ho cause he did a cf with sulli but he looks too much like a kid to me in BIG, his baby cheeks omg.

never even consider seungho.

i thought about zea shiwan but he looks too nice

sj siwon but hes too old or too mature vibe

minho still doesnt really fit well with sulli for me but he really fits well as sano. so, so far he is the second choice for me and im sure i will still enjoy watching him

Cool so I'm not the only one who thought Chansung could've made a great Sano. I've always wanted to him to be in a drama since he was initially an actor before being in 2PM & as for TOP now that I think about it I don't know if he would've been the best choice considering the sport aspect of the drama but his a solid actor, definitely would've given the project more credibility if he was apart of it.

Anyways I like the look of Sulli and Minho so I'm not fussed about it to, I just want to see all the guys and the interactions that they'll have. From the glimpses of the trailer I'm digging the vibe of Nakatsu here ^^

Lee Hyun Woo Develops Feelings for Sulli in ‘To the Beautiful You’

New still cuts of Lee Hyun Woo and Sulli taking a stroll have been revealed.

The still cuts are from the upcoming SBS drama series To the Beautiful You in which Sulli stars as Koo Jae Hee, who goes into disguise as a male student to join an all-male high school in order to meet high jump star Kang Tae Joon (Minho).

Lee Hyun Woo plays the star soccer player Cha Eun Gyul, who shows great affection and friendliness to Sulli’s character.

The preview images show the two walking together while chit-chatting and enjoying their time together.

In the drama, Lee Hyun Woo’s character finds his heart racing when Sulli is around and becoming strangely attracted to her, despite the fact that he thinks she′s a guy.



Lee Hyun Woo and Sulli’s scene was shot on July 12 near a university campus in Gyeonggi-do’s Icheon.

Due to the drama’s tight filming schedule and because the scene was set in the day time, the two had to finish the scene together before sunset, even though they began filming at 6:30 p.m.

In order to ensure a clean shoot, Lee Hyun Woo and Sulli rehearsed the scene together beforehand, and managed to finish the scene in one take, and under an hour.

A drama production source shared, “Sulli and Lee Hyun Woo have many scenes together and as such, have built up a special friendship which is helping the acting [between them] to come out naturally. With To The Beautiful You having many similar-aged actors, the cast members are quickly becoming playful friends which is helping make the set’s atmosphere a positive and happy one.”

To The Beautiful You will premiere on SBS on August 15.
