Park Shin Hye makes Taecyeon’s heart flutter on “Three Meals”

Posted on May 17, 2015

park shin hye three meals taecyeon

The first surprise guest to appear on tvN’s weekly Friday show “Three Meals” was none other than actress Park Shin Hye, who had contributed to the show’s highest rating of 8.2% thus far.

On the episode that aired back on May 15th, Park Shin Hye was the first to make a surprise appearance on the show, shocking original cast members – actor Lee Seojin and 2PM’s Taecyeon, with their original first guest comedian Kim Kwang Kyu as well.

Though the first part of the episode ended with just her arrival, the second part – which will air on Friday May 22nd – will showcase Taecyeon falling for the actress, as well as spending lots of individual time with her. Scenes of Taecyeon bringing Park Shin Hye to a heart-shaped field further elicited bursts of laughter from the other cast members.

Nonetheless, Lee Seojin, known to have a fussy and difficult personality, was also noted to be pleased that Park Shin Hye had helped with the cooking and dishwashing throughout the second night.

All of this culminated to a rating of 8.2%, the show’s current best.

Make sure to tune into the upcoming episode of “Three Meals” on May 22nd to catch Park Shin Hye!

Meanwhile, check out the preview here:

Vaults "One Last Night" lyrics

Tied to a sallow heart
Why does he want to bring me where he goes
Oh and to find out the reasons why
It's enough to make you wanna try
For one last night

Ghosts and silhouettes
They take a piece of me they want it all
Oh but to wait in an empty room

With the feeling that is closing in.

[Chorus]
I had a dream I was dying
But I found nobody there
And if one last night is all that we've been given
Lets live it like we care

For one last night
For one last night

Broken upon the rocks
Let the beating waves
Come drag me down
Oh but to find out the reasons why
It's enough to make you wanna try
For one last night

[Chorus]
I had a dream I was dying
But I found nobody there
And if one last night is all that we've been given
Lets live it like we care

For one last night
For one last night
For one last night

10 Korean actors who leaped from second lead syndrome to stardom

2nd_lead_actors.png

If you've ever suffered K-drama second lead syndrome, you know how strong it can be. There you are, pining for the guy who the girl will never love, and you curse the writers for not making your dreams come true. While drama writers don't usually let the second lead win (though sometimes they do!), dramaland sometimes makes up for the pain by casting the actor as the romantic lead in his next drama. Here are 10 K-drama actors (in no particular order) who went from giving us terrible second lead sorrow to being the romantic stars of their own shows.

1. Jung Yong Hwa

Yonghwa_AkbnUFE.jpg

Yonghwa made his drama debut with a bang in You're Beautiful. His portrayal of the sweet and supportive Shin Woo gave so many viewers second lead syndrome that he followed it up not only with a leading role, but with a leading role opposite hisYou're Beautiful costar Park Shin Hye in Heartstrings. That's one way to appease the fans!

2. Lee Hong Ki

lee_hong_ki_2_q7NYpr9.jpg

Yonghwa wasn't the only one giving people second lead sorrow in You're Beautiful! Hongki's Jeremy won over viewer hearts, paving the way for his leading roles in Bride of the Century and Modern Farmer. No one wants to make Jeremy ride that bus of sadness again!

3. Lee Joon Ki

LJK.png

Nowadays, it's almost impossible to imagine Lee Joon Ki playing second fiddle to anyone, but that wasn't always the case. In the 2005 series My Girl, he cemented his flower boy image as the handsome cousin who loses out to Lee Dong Wook in the battle for Lee Da Hae's heart. Although he's since moved away from pretty boy roles, he's taken the lead in all of his subsequent dramas, including the upcoming Scholar Who Walks the Night.

4. Yoo Yun Suk

YYS.jpg

After he single-handedly set off some of the most intense shipping wars in K-drama history with his role in Answer Me 1994, many fans were hoping "Chilbongie" would get his chance at love quickly. Not wanting to be typecast only as a "nice guy" (like he was previously seen as a "bad guy" from his movie roles), Yoo decided to go in a different direction with his role as the king in the movie Royal Tailor. Fortunately for fans, he is finally the male lead in the new Hong sisters series Jeju Island Gatsby. I already love that his character isn't the typical K-drama jerk! If you want to know more about this actor, read fun facts about him HERE.

5. Jang Geun Suk

JGS_U8LLUry.jpg

Like Lee Joon Ki, it may seem like Jang Geun Suk has been the romantic lead since the beginning of time, but that's not the case.Hong Gil Dong and Beethoven Virus, both in 2008, gave enough viewers second lead syndrome that it was only natural to make him the lead for You're Beautiful in 2009, and he's never looked back.

6. Yoo Ah In

YAI.jpg

Yoo Ah In was unforgettable as the gruff-yet-lovable Geol Oh in Sungkyungkwan Scandal, and he followed up the series with emotionally demanding lead roles in Fashion KingJang Ok Jung, Live in Love, and Secret Love Affair. As much as I appreciate how he tries to stretch himself as an actor, would it be too much to ask to see him in a happy leading role sometime? Pretty please?

7. Lee Joon

LeeJoon_nBqlXP1.jpg

From the first episode of Mr. Baek, Lee Joon was giving viewers second lead syndrome as the bad-boy chaebol's son who has to combat his own dad (not as creepy as it sounds!) for the affections of the woman he loves. It's no wonder, then, that the show hadn't been over long before he was headlining the current series Heard It through the Grapevine.

8. Kim Hyun Joong

Regardless of your opinions on his current life choices, Kim Hyun Joong caused the first major case of second lead syndrome in a lot of fans as they watched Boys over Flowers (I mean, he was her soulmate, so that's one good reason to root for him). The K-drama world quickly made amends to Ji Hoo/Jan Di shippers by making him the lead in the popular series Playful Kiss.

9. Kim Jeong Hoon

KJH.jpg

As the nicer of two princes in Goong, Kim Jeong Hoon had some fans wondering why Chae Kyung didn't just run off with Yul and leave Broody McGrumpypants Shin in the dust. Of course, when Kim Jeong Hoon then became the lead in I Need Romance, he ended up making fans wonder why In Young didn't run off with Choi Jin Hyuk's Sung Hyun, leaving him in the dust. Ah, the neverending cycle of second lead syndrome....

10. Yeon Woo Jin

yeon-woo-jin_1411612632_af_org.jpg

Okay, so I wasn't actually rooting for Yeon Woo Jin's character in Arang and the Magistrate (because, you know, murder and all that jazz), but I did feel really sorry for his character. It was so refreshing when he got to play a much more upbeat role inMarriage, Not Dating, and his antics on Divorce Lawyer in Love are absolutely hilarious. I wasn't sure about the show for the first few episodes, but he's getting funnier and cuter with every episode!

‘Beauty Inside’ Is Set To Be Released In July

t3aqggjtpk9tvxm9hik7m1s9rzzxfegz.jpg

[by Sora Ghim] A new person whenever he wakes up, this unique story of a man is a 21-in-1 role which gained attention for its top studded star cast. Upcoming movie ‘Beauty Inside’ held its screening at the ‘68th Cannes International Film Festival’ and has confirmed its release for July 2015.

With news of the movie’s release date, the film also revealed the 21 actors who will play the protagonist Woo Jin. ‘Beauty Inside’ is about one man, Woo Jin, who changes into a different person every day and the woman he loves, Yi Soo. This movie is based on the social film by Intel and Toshiba and is the first ever in the Korean film industry to try a 21 people in 1 role. It raises anticipation for the actors who will play Woo Jin and the various ways they will portray him.

In order, the 21 actors cast in the film are Kim Dae Myeong, Do Ji Han, Bae Sung Woo, Park Shin Hye, Lee Bum Soo, Park Seo Jun, Kim Sang Ho, Chun Woo Hee, Ueno Juri, Lee Jae Joon, Kim Min Jae, Lee Hyun Woo, Jo Dal Hwan, Lee Jin Wook, Hong Da Mi, Seo Kang Joon, Kim Hee Won, Lee Dong Wook, Go Ah Sung, Kim Joo Hyuk, and Yoo Yeon Seok. As much as these actors tried to depict the character, they tried their best to not break the flow of Woo Jin.

The response to ‘Beauty Inside’ at the Cannes International Film Festival is just as hot as the original ‘The Beauty Inside’ had at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. On May 15, the interest in the movie was so great that it filled up all the seats of the screening that was designated for buyers. A representative of NEW stated, “It was favorably received for its new type of romance film and not just buyers but talks of a remake are already underway.” This film will captivate the audience with its fantasy romance.

Meanwhile, this unique film will be released in July.
