YG FAMILY CONCERT!!!

This is one EPIC concert!!! It hurts not to be in Korea right now, how i wish i can go because i know this concert will be one MAJOR SPAZZFUL event! hahaha... good luck on securing tickets. it will definitely be crazy, 36000 is not enough for everyone!

I KNOW!! 36,000 tickets aren't much. Didn't BB's sale out the same amount of tickets in like 10 minutes before. Add in 2NE1, Gummy and Se7en and you need more than just 2 days and 36k tickets. It will probably sell out in like 5 secs.

@toozdae08 - yeah, i can't even imagine what kfans will do just to have tickets for the concert! it will be so crazy but exciting. i know a lot of fans will definitely do everything to grab their tickets since the last YG Family Concert was way back 2007.

@juang_bb - i'm crossing my fingers also that they'll have new materials for the concert. it will be possible if they come back by next month.

btw, LOVE the poster! all of them are totally gorgeous! i'm just thinking if we'll still have the Big Show 2011... that will be crazy for the boys preparing for everything...

I don't know if I should be crying of JOY or crying of SADNESS. I'm so FREAKING happy that YG family's having a concert again, but I'm so dang sad that I won't be able to experience it live. I'll just be hanging on for fancams like a lot of you here ;_; mann, why not a tour? LOL. Is that expecting too much for now T_____T

Anyways, I hope this means BB's album is going to drop by november! I'm so excited, things are beginning to pick up

i think there will still be a Big Show 2011, i just don't know if it will still be in january. they always close out their promotions with a concert so im pretty sure it will happen. if they do come back in november, i cant even imagine how their schedules are going to be. it will be comeback and YG Fam concert preparations at the same time, plus they need to do promotions and probably even some variety appearances.

really... with this piece of news, i haven't been more certain than I am now, that they'd probably come back very very soon. i just don't see how and why YG would schedule this concert without having anything new from the BIGGEST artist in his roster. there's just no way.

edit: i mean, do you imagine BB singing haruharu, lies, last farewell, sunset glow, and their japanese songs to their korean fans who have waited for 2 years?

I agree. I think the bomb will be dropped on us anyday now. I can just feel it! I am literally going to need medical attention when it happens. 

I check this thread like all the time now because I know it could happen any second! 

The fancams from this will be awesome cause KVIPs always deliver for us! and the PICS OMG can't wait. 

Maybe we'll finally get to see Lollipop performed live  

36,000 isn't that much though. Big Bang sold more than that for the big show I think.

To attend this epic concert----if only they will allow me to take a leave... but dang! thats Christmas time and its quite chaotic here...

 

Hope some of you can attend the concert and post a sign for soompi or something... that will be just priceless...

On a completely unrelated topic, I get really rather sh*tty when people say that Big Bang don't seem close to each other as a group. Just because they're not on variety shows every week flaunting it for the cameras doesn't mean it's not there. I feel like the relationship between the boys is so down to earth and I relate to it. They remind me of how I am with my brother and close friends. 

I totally get you. I have some theories on why people think that Big Bang isn't close in real life or why they're often seen as non-cohesive on stage. Posted them in 6theory which some of you might have read. Anyway, I'm lifting parts of my posts about this topic and adding some new thoughts:

I see Big Bang more as "brothers" than friends honestly. Why? Well we don't choose family right? It just happens that way. BB were "forced" to be together because they all wanted to be singers. Like brothers in real life, they generally don't have the same friends/crowd and they don't spend majority of their time together. Like BB is in real life. Sometimes we hate our siblings because of favoritism or taking stuff without asking permission. Same with BB too. BUT when the going gets tough, we always turn to our family who accept us, warts and all. This is how Big Bang is to me.

I honestly think that during the early part of their career, they weren't very close. Who would be? Big Bang boys have very different and strong personalities. They all seem like bullheaded/stubborn people too. GD and YB didn't like the idea of being in a boy band since they were trained to be a duo, TOP was probably thinking of being a solo performer since YG scouted him, Seungri and Daesung came in years later after the hyungs trained in YG. So, it's inevitable that there will be dissatisfaction and a clash in personalities among the members. Even friends with so much in common have their moments of disagreement. It's actually a surprise to me how YG was able to make the group work. At the beginning, I think they were just united because they were determined to make it big and they put all their differences aside to make everything work.

But their bond grew over time. They made it big in '07 and continued to '08 before their hiatus in the Kpop scene. During this time, they probably were friends and no longer argued so much but they weren't really that close yet. They enjoyed joking around, sure. But it was more of a superficial closeness brought about by the fact that they have to live and perform together except probably GD and YB who have been close since childhood. Personally, I think it was really '09 events which tested and strengthened their relationship as an entire group. 2009 was a rocky year for them. Sure, there were many successes for them especially TOP and GD but there were also many problems. To be honest, while I was watching the DVD for Big Show 2010,I was half worried about them. They all looked reserved and serious in the BTS scenes with the exception of the 1N2D Parody in contrast to their The Great and Big Show 2008 DVD. I think they were too worried about other things to really enjoy their concert so they were just going through the motions.

But, after Big Show, I saw changes in them particularly after Taeyang released his Solar Album. There was a shift in their relationship. I don't know what happened or when it did, but from then on all their interviews and appearances have this relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Taeyang got over his depression, TOP was being goofy again, GD appears more giddy, Dae's a little bit reserved it's been improving since then and Ri had become funnier and even actively disses his hyungs in shows. They look so attune to each other in interviews and very comfortable around each other too.

Their latest Lotte Photoshoot really had me smiling because the joy in their faces doesn't seem to be forced. It's like all of them are so alive in that photoshoot. The benefit of having more rest I guess? I don't know if I'm alone at this, but I just feel like they have so much more respect to each other after their solo activities and they have more to talk about now after their individual experiences so they are more at peace with each others' differences. Plus I do think that the disbandment of some groups have made them more aware of how lucky they are that they are still together and how they've missed performing together on that stage.

Ohh..sorry for the drivel..LOL..I just really love these guys so I psychoanalyze their moves more than any other group..^^

I'm with you 100 percent.

Watching their videos from 2007-to now you can definitely tell they got a lot closer, esp this year. 2009 was such a hard year for them - at least 3 (GD, YB, TOP) of them had gone through a depression, probably 4 (Dae). They were all doing their own thing and were rarely together. It was hard for them.

This year though, they all seem so much closer and happier to be together. And I'm so proud of that. At a time were a lot of other groups have been shaky, BB has just gotten stronger. So proud of the boys this year. So amazingly proud.

I shouldnt even be awake right now--but I'm sensitive to light and my phone's little light was blinking and so I had to wake up and check it. In my sleep induced haze, I saw shaun evaristo's tweets about a YG family concert. and yup SUPER awake now! I jumped up and grabbed my laptop, half expecting there to be news on Big Bang's comeback.

But this is exciting! Gosh, I want to go! Oh, to be in Seoul right now.
