The makers of upcoming KBS2 drama “The King’s Face” have spoken out about singer-actor Seo In Guk, who is set to star in the new series.

The plot, which is based on a true story, tells of how Gwanghae (played by Seo In Guk), the illegitimate son of a king, accedes to the Korean throne. Gwanghae also becomes involved in a love triangle that involves a woman and his father.

And it seems that Seo In Guk is making a good impression on the series’ production team as he gears up to make his first appearance in a historical drama. A representative for the production crew announced, “It is hard to believe that this is Seo In Guk’s first period drama. You can really see how involved he gets when he is acting. You can see it in his eyes. His voice, the way he breathes and speaks are all spot on – he has really succeeded in making a new Gwanghae.”

Guess what? Newly coming up drama! <The King's Face>

Synopsis :
Born as a concubine's child, Gwanghae was proclaimed as an heir to the throne. Gwanghae suffered from the threats of dethronement and assassination for 16 years because of his background. This drama is the epic of Prince Gwanghae who used face-reading skills as his weapon to overcome his destiny and become the king.
And there is a woman, beloved by both Gwanghae and his father King Seonjo, who denied himself to qualify for the throne. 
Because Prince Gwanghae was able to read others' faces, he succeeded to govern the Joseon Kingdom.
