hello, can someone plz help me translate this message of NEWS in this picture? the japanese letters on the white banner with the happy face at the beginning on the left? and if its possible, can u write them in romaji too? im currently learning japanese, im quite familiar with hiragana and katakana characters, but not so much with kanji and still trying to make sense of this message lol, so plz help, and thanx in advance^^

"お疲れさまでした" is what the Japanese say after/end of the work it's like "good job, good work, it was tiring, thanks for the hard work" along those kinda meanings? please correct me if im wrong ><

The hanjas for the three characters are

金敏顁

Ahaha well..if you really wanted to do it that way in Japanese, then your name would be kin bin ?

金(kin) and 敏(bin) are fairly common characters, I've never seen 顁 before though, I doubt it exists in Japanese..but 定 is read ding4 in chinese and tei in japanese so maybe kin bin tei?

More likely though, they would just call you

キム・ミン・チョン Kimu Min Chon

If you really want to find out though, you need to find a well known Korean that also uses 顁 as his family name, because I think most use 鄭, and then you need to look him up on Japanese wikipedia or something and they should have it listed.

By the way 金 in mandarin is jin1, so 金敏顁 in chinese would be jin1 min3 ding4

i dont think it has any meaning just by itself but " さ" is the hiragana character for the sound "sa"

well just keep in mind that Japanese vowels in particular don't sound exactly like English or have 100% direct equivalents even if you use English words that resemble it, so everything is just an approximation, but..

ae is kind of like eye (unless you are pronouncing it slowly) but it has more of a eh at the end (not the canadian eh)..for example mai and mae are pronounced differently, and words like shiharai and shiharae have hugely different meanings just on that one vowel

e's are pronounced like the e in outlet..like eh

j's are pronounced like juh, neither jay nor hey is close, those are diphthongs (most english vowels are actually diphthongs too or a combination of multiple sounds, whereas vowels in european languages like german are usually pure) j is a consonant..so it'd be kind of like the j in jump

the r's are kind of inbetween an L and a D sound, they're basically a tap/flap of the tongue on the roof of your mouth, somewhat like spanish

ui can honestly be pronounced either depending how fast you are speaking, if you are speaking slower you sound out each vowel, if not it sounds more like we

same with ai, but more commonly like eye..

try to find a website with some sound files to help you

After the Hiragana characters are mastered written, spoken, and reading wise, would I then move onto Katakana, and then Kanji? Or is there more I have to learn from Hiragana before I proceed?
