장근석과 김병만은 24일 개봉하는 애니메이션 ‘니코’에서 목소리 연기에 도전했다. ‘니코’는 산타 썰매를 끄는 멋진 산타 비행단처럼 하늘을 자유롭게 날고 싶은 꿈을 가진 꼬마 사슴 니코와 그의 옆을 항상 지켜주는 날다람쥐 줄리어스가 산타 비행단을 찾아나서는 신나는 모험을 담은 애니메이션.

꼬마 사슴 니코 역은 드라마 ‘베토벤 바이러스’에서 타고난 음악 천재로 등장해 대한민국 여심을 흔들어 놓은 장근석이 맡았다. 니코의 친구 줄리어스의 목소리 연기는 ‘개그 콘서트’의 개그 달인 김병만이 연기했다.

니코 역의 장근석은 더빙 시간 내내 영상에 몰입해서 실제 상황을 연기하는 듯한 열연을 펼쳤고 줄리어스 역의 김병만은 조금 긴장하는 기색을 보였지만 곧 프로다운 모습으로 너스레를 부리며 성우 못지 않은 실력을 뽐냈다는 제작진의 전언이다.
