Song Seung Hun and Yoon Je Moon are facing off in a new movie.

It was confirmed on September 18 actor Song Seung Hun had come on board the production of the upcoming movie Messenger, directed by Kwon Jong Kwan.

Set in the Joseon Dynasty, the thrilling chase movie revolves around the era’s best messenger, played by Song Seung Hun, with an important message and a group of people, including Yoon Je Moon, attempting to stop him at all cost.

The movie will mark Song Seung Hun’s first historic movie on the big screen after recently appearing in his first historic drama for MBC’s Time Slip Dr. Jin. Yoon Je Moon previously gained praise for his villainous role on SBS’ historic drama, A Tree With Deep Roots, and many are anticipating to see the charismatic actors square off in the new movie.

Following the completion of the movie’s casting and pre-production, the movie is expected to begin shooting in December.

Song Seung-heon Eyeing New Historical Film

Korean actor Song Seung-heon may soon be portraying a messager in the Joseon Dynasty in a film helmed by director Gwon Jong-kwan.

Song is eyeing Gwon’s next project, “The Messenger” [translated title], which will likely go into the shooting in December, an official from Mersenne Entertainment told the magazine over the phone Tuesday.

The “Dr. Jin” actor is currently reviewing the script and is in discussions with the production company, JM Pictures, to discuss further details the star has not finalized his decisions, the official explained.

Set in the Joseon Dynasty period setting, "The Messenger” centers around fights between a loyal messenger, who delivers important news, and his obstructors.

Song Seung-heon has been one of the hottest male Korean actors since starring in MBC's sitcom "Three Guys and Three Girls" (1996) and shot to stardom with his smash-hit drama "Autumn Tale" (KBS, 2000).

He has been expanding his career into the big screen by appearing in Calla (1999), "He Was Cool" (2004) and "Ghost: In Your Arms Again" (2010).
