Domestic promoter, leaving a scar despite their breach of contract, voices asking to "rid of unverified concert managements"

Since top star Rain got sued for cancelling his Hawaii concert on July 2007, he will be attending a jury trial in America coming March. However, underneath the surface lies a complex conspiracy.

Click Entertainment, which purchased the right for Hawaii concert and acts as the promoter, claimed that Rain and his agency back then, JYP Entertainment, as well as Rain's world tour host StarM, one-sidedly cancelled the concert, suing them for 40million dollars in the Hawaiian court.

At the same time, they sued Rain and StarM for fraud charges in the Korean court. When Rain was making agreements for concert, they asked for terms of installing exclusive stages since there are safety issues.

But for some reason, the promoter ignored the condition written on the contract. As a result, the star singer who put priority on his fan's safety, had no choice but to cancel the concert.

The Korean court has already judged them not guilty since Rain's side had no intention of making money out of fraud contract and that this was all over the issue of exclusive stage.

Since it is common sense that top star like Rain would not one-sidedly cancel a concert which is a promise with his fans, Click is continuously annoying Rain with lawsuits after lawsuits. Thus, there are voices asking to rid of unverified promoters who do not have the ability to operate the concert, but just rely on the fame of Korean wave stars.

A stage official said that "as Korean wave stars start to act overseas, there are many cases of them being damaged while carrying out a concert plan. In order to make sure there are no more victims like Rain, a list of unverified promoters should be made and shared."

Because of some matters need to take care of so I went to take a look at the meeting place(‘cÉеÀ), around the urban area.

After I ate dinner with Cloud friends then I went to shop around at –|³Ç.... Ah! There was a familiar scene....it was 6to5 promotional poster.....While I was eating dinner with my friends, we were talking about where will 6to5 shop located. Finally I saw it!!

The location is very good, it seems like they are still doing construction inside. I was very happy at the moment so I took couple pictures. On top of mannequin is Jihoon's pic....I can't see inside because it was covering....If you are in the city you can go take a look at the shop.

Tune Entertainment, reported that Rain will use “The Rain” for all his music activities in the United States. However, he will retain his name, “Rain,” for film credits. Also “The Rain,” will be used only in America, thus it’s not likely to confuse his fans in other regions. In accordance with the decision, Rain will release his debut album in America under the name, “The Rain.” The album release is scheduled for late this year.

Rain Corporation, a Las Vegas firm, had filed for damage compensation against Rain for using the name “Rain” for his Las Vegas concert in December 2006. The company also asked for an injunction to ban Rain from using his name in future concerts. The name dispute had forced Rain to cancel his concert in Hawaii in May 2006. About Four Seasons drama, no announcement still for the cancellation & no formal announcement as well from RAIN to do this but he's considering doing another drama this year, late this year. I think there should be a correction on the above article coming from allkpop. How would this drama broadcast (February?) with RAIN in it when he hasn't started filming this........He's busy at the moment preparing for his upcoming movie, NA - Actually, he's about to leave for Berlin anytime soon for the post works/production for the movie for 1-week. BTW, thanks for visiting his thread.......... ye, it's been a long while.........Why, my dear? ^same here. I'm REALLY looking forward to Rain doing another drama. I adore his three previous drama's (even though I still can't watch the ending for ijuksa after the first time) and him and drama's is really what makes me adore HIM.

I'm not sure how I fell about the whole "The Rain" thing. will that just be the title of his album? Cause if that's the case then its fine since all his album titles are Rain related. But a an artist? Like if he was on like say...jay leno...he'd be announced as "Ladies and gentlemen its The Rain!" ?

Rain caught in multimillion dollar lawsuit storm over canceled show

Hallyu star Rain

Keep your fingers crossed - hallyu star Rain, 27, will be present at the Hawaii District Court next month in Honolulu.

Click Entertainment, a Korean company that has a branch in Honolulu, filed a suit against Rain and JYP Entertainment, the singer’s former agency, last year. And legal actions are going ahead.

The company filed a $40 million lawsuit after Rain canceled his world tour, which was scheduled to hit Hawaii in June 2007, arguing that there was too little prior notice and 1.1 billion won had already been invested in the show.

Regarding the upcoming trial, J-Tune Entertainment, Rain's current agency, remains confident.

'We will put an end to the legal issue over the world tour at the upcoming trial by jury,' noted J-Tune Entertainment to Yonhap.

*** Wahhh…….. another drama from RAIN is surely exciting. As much as many new dramas coming up this year, I’m waiting most is his comeback in a small screen. I hope he could announce his drama already by this time. But there are errors on this article aside from the Four Seasons, mentioning that RAIN is in it & will be broadcasted this month – But the plot for this drama sounds interesting & different. In Swallow the Sun, it’s Sung Yuri & not HJW. Can’t wait to see Cinderella Man, of course because of KSW! I want to watch Cain & Abel, too. Hahaha – I’ll be busy catching up all these exciting dramas but so little time.
