Korean superstar Rain has a gift for victims of Marawi war

 

Korean superstar Rain will have a concert for victims of Marawi war.

 

Rain is scheduled to return to the Philippines on November 3 for a benefit concert with some local recording artists like Sam Concepcion, Jay-R, and Kris Lawrence.

 

 Rain has returned to acting after his military service in Korea.

 

Rain had just worked on his new song with Psy recently who sang the famous "Gangnam Style" song.

 

Aside from this benefit concert, there are series of K-pop group concerts happening in the country as well.

 

Korean boy band Seventeen with their "Diamond Edge" concert will be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 6. Seventeen is the only K-Pop group composed of 13 members who are in the Billboard magazine's "Hottest Young Stars of 2015" list.

 

New K-pop groups will also join together in a concert on October 28 entitled "K-Pop Republic Concert" at the Circuit Event Grounds, Makati. It also features groups such as NCT 127, G-Friend, Cosmic Girls and N. Flying.

 

Some local bands will also have a concert.

 

Nine Filipino rock icons and other bands will also have a concert. These include Juan Dela Cruz Band by Pepe Smith, Mike Hanapol and Wally Gonzales, Lolito Carbon, Basti Artadi, Razorback, The Youth and many more.

RAIN is coming back to Manila!

 

Seven years after his first concert in the Philippines, Rain is coming back to Manila and this time, for a benefit concert. Rise 2 Shine concert will be held in The Big Dome, Araneta Center on November 3. 

 

This concert will benefit victims of war in Marawi where a conflict is currently taking place between Philippine Government security forces and affiliated militants of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, including Maute and Abu Sayaff Salafi jihadist groups.  Foundations such as Make your Nanay proud Foundation and Ko-Ph Foundation for Korea-Filipino children and families are also beneficiaries of the said concert.

 

Rain will be joined by local artists Sam Concepcion, Kris Lawrence, Jay R and many more!

While the images do not clearly define who these contestants are, a couple appear to show DIA’s Yebin and Somyi and BIGSTAR.

“The Unit” Contestants Reportedly Filming MV, Details Revealed About Center Position

 

 

KBS’s upcoming idol audition program “The Unit” has officially started its survival missions.

 

It has been reported that 126 contestants who passed auditions have started filming a music video from October 7 to October 9 as part of a mission.

 

In addition, details on the “center” position have been revealed. “The Unit” is an idol rebooting program that aims to give idols a second chance at the spotlight and has been compared to other audition programs like “Produce 101.” However, unlike “Produce 101” which had one individual in each group as the center position, “The Unit” will have a group as the center. The center group will consist of nine males and nine females, and the most stand-out contestant will be the “center of the center.”

 

The show has garnered a lot of attention for its format and contestants, but also for its mentors as well. Rain is the leader mentor on the show, along with HyunA, Hwang Chi Yeol, SHINee’s Taemin, Urban Zapaka’s Jo Hyun Ah, and rapper San E.

 

“The Unit” will premiere on October 28.

I have high expectation for this upcoming show. Director Hong Won-ki, who made several music videos, is one of the Directors of this show.  Production set-up for the show costs 930 million won, which they say is an overwhelming set of performances not seen in Korea. This is KBS and Hong Won-gi's 1st collaboration, which is attracting attention.  Hong Won-ki will use a special camera, which is only one in Korea and designed for that kind of stage. It is said that the rental cost of this camera is 150 million won.

*** RAIN spotted at Harvest Namsan yesterday, October 9................According to the source, he was with Taemin & a few other idols....(they must be his co-mentors of "The Unit" show-) She saw him when RAIN went to the cashier to pay the bill. Harvest Namsan is in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This is where his matrimonial is also located. This resto has cozy atmosphere, with straw grass peeking out from potted boxes placed on the sidelines of the rooftop. The interior of the restaurant is nice. There's a great view over rooftop so you need to book on good-weather days if you want a seat on the roof-top terrace; it gets busy and the tables are small (I guess because everyone wants to sit outside). Food is Italian styled. The menu on their website is not to be trusted, though — what I mean is their menu is seasonal and frequently updated & a little pricy. When I visited this place I really enjoyed the view with Itaewon sprawled in front of me.   I heard that RAIN is a frequent customer of Harvest Namsan.
