Singer Rain went live on the V app Monday during a practice session for his upcoming concert.

During the show, Rain performed some songs for the fans and answered their questions.

“If I got plastic surgery and look like this, that’s troublesome,” the singer quipped in response.

“I lost lots of weight. I used to be 80 kilograms, but now I am 70 kilograms,” he said. “I exercised a lot.”

The period flick featuring veteran actor Choi Min-sik revolves around a renowned gunman and a tiger in Joseon era. Director Park Hoon-jung of hit film “The New World (2013)” headed the production.

The film is slated to hit the local theaters on Dec. 16.

She turned it down last month yet. With her departure, the drama series needs to find a new female lead. Meanwhile, Lee Min-jung confirmed on Wednesday that she will appear in the drama but, I guess she'll play the character of a support lead. The series will begin airing in February.

Rain Holds Energetic Comeback Concert in Seoul

 

Leave it to one of the original Korean solo superstars to stage a comeback concert in Seoul and make me wish I was there. Rain‘s concert this weekend was reportedly energetic and every bit Rain’s give-it-his-all ethos stamped over it. The fact that he looked both cheesy and adorable just makes it that much more Rain, and he looked like he was having so much fun I’m hoping his super famous girlfriend Kim Tae Hee was in the audience to watch the show go down and support her man. His white and silver space suit getup is both appropriate for a concert performance in that showy way, but nevertheless looks hilariously silly in stills. Of course, no Rain concert can end without a shirtless Rain in the rain, and that happened as well, so all’s right with the K-pop world once again.

[StarN Focus] RAIN holds a solo concert in Seoul

 

On December 12th, RAIN's solo concert, 'THE SQUALL 2015-2016 Rain' was held at SK Handball Stadium in Seoul Olympic Park.

It was RAIN's first solo concert in four years, and RAIN energetically led the concert alone for two and a half hours without having any guests.

During an interview that was held prior to the concert, reporters asked when he plans to get married with Kim Tae Hee, and he replied, "We do not have any plan to get married yet."

Meanwhile, RAIN commenced his new world tour, 'THE SQUALL 2015-2016 Rain' in Changsha, China on November 7th, and he will continue the tour in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Wuhan, and Hong Kong.

Jung Ji-hoon, better known by his stage name Rain, said he does not currently have any plans for marriage with actress Kim Tae-hee.

 

 

Hours ahead of his concert “The Squall Rain in Seoul” held on Saturday, he was asked about their plan for marriage by reporters.

The 33-year-old singer and actor replied with a bashful smile, “I don‘t have a plan to marry (Kim Tae-hee) yet,” before leaving to prepare for his performance.

The concert, held at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium, kicked off Friday and was set to last for three days.

Rain confirmed his relationship with actress Kim Tae-hee in January 2013.

At packed show, Rain shares plans

 

 

The singer Rain saw a successful turnout for his three-day concert series, which attracted more than 15,000 people. They were the first individual shows that the entertainer has held in Seoul in four years.

During the performances, which wrapped up on Saturday, he also unveiled his plans for the future.

“I turn 35 years old next year. I’m still young, and I think I can sing and perform on stage for two or three more years, but it’s physically challenging to perform like this. So I’d like to stop singing [dance songs] while my body is at its best. It’s too hard to keep in shape. It doesn’t mean that I will stop signing. [But instead] I’ll sing ballad songs.”

He also elaborated on some of his projects for the upcoming year.

“I’ll do a film, a drama series and release an album. A concert tour to the States is also part of my plan.”

For the concert series, Rain sang some of his most popular hits, mostly dance tunes, including “It’s Raining” and “How to Avoid the Sun.”

The show received rave reviews from local media, which praised his ability to sing and dance simultaneously.

Next, Rain is set to travel to China, where he will kick off his Asia concert tour on Dec. 19. The singer, who uses his real name, Jung Ji-hoon, for some acting credits, debuted in 1998 and instantly gained a following with his eye-catching choreography.

Rain previously appeared in the Hollywood films “Ninja Assassin” (2009) and “Speed Racer” (2008).

He also recently launched a one-man agency.

Rain Plans To Perform In The U.S. In 2016

 

 

Actor-singer Rain has a variety of plans for the coming year that may include a film, a drama and a concert tour of the US. He shared those plans with the audience on December 12 at the final performance of his three-day concert series in Seoul.

According to the Korean media outlet, Joongang Daily, the concert series attracted 15,000 people. The sold out concerts were Rain's first solo performances in Seoul in four years.

On the final day of his concert Rain also spoke about the need to change his performance style.

"I turn 35 next year," he said. "While I'm still young and can still perform on stage for a few more years, it is physically challenging. So I would like to stop singing certain types of songs while my body is at its best."

That will mean performing fewer songs like "30 Sexy" and more ballads.

His plans for the coming year include some acting and some singing. Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji Hoon, will travel to China on December 19 as part of his "Squall" 2015-2016 concert tour. It is Rain's first world concert tour after completing his mandatory military service in July 2013. He did perform in four Japanese cities in 2013. There are currently talks of extending the Squall tour to Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Americas.

"A concert tour of the U.S. is also part of the plan," said Rain.

That's good news for U.S. fans who may never have seen him perform.

Rain has been busy acting since completing his military duty. He was last seen on the small screen in the Chinese drama "Diamond Lover" and the k-drama "My Lovable Girl."

He will soon appear in the drama "Hello My Precious Person" with Lee Min Jung. He also said at the concert that he has plans for a film role and to release an album.

Rain recently decided not to renew his contract with Cube Entertainment and began his own one-man agency. The agency will focus on finding talented stars.

Actor and Singer Rain held his first concerts, "THE SQUALL Rain in Seoul," in four years at the SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium on Dec. 12.

The concerts, over three days from Dec. 11-13, marked the beginning of his world tour "THE SQUALL," which will take Rain, real name is Jung Ji-hoon, to Australia and the U.S., as well as China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Rain, 33, who debuted with the album "Bad Guy" in 2002, opened with "It's Raining," which was greeted with roars from the audience.

"It's been so long. I've been dying to meet all of you," he said after singing two more songs "I'm Coming," and "Hip Song."

"It's my second world tour concert in Seoul. It's been eight years and four years since my last world tour concert and Seoul concert, respectively."

He then continued with ballads "Love Story," "Hand Shake" and "In My Bed," showing off his singing ability on a large stage and on LED screens.

"To be honest, the Seoul concert was not scheduled," he said. "However, Korea is the place where I debuted. I think I have grown well, thanks to all of you. I am holding this concert to express my deep appreciation to the fans who have supported me for so long."

Many fans seemed close to tears.

Rain made full use of the stage. For example, he sang "I" while being drenched with water from above.

The crowd reciprocated, yelling thunderously and grooving to the music. For "La Song", he did not have to do much because the crowd took over his singing duties.

Unveiling his plans in the second half of the concert, Rain heightened fans' anticipation when he said, "Next year, I plan to release an album and to work on drama and movies."

"The first track of the new album will be a collaboration with an artist that will wow you and the second track will be very powerful dance music."

He then sang Kim Jo-han's "I Love You."

"It's my first time to sing one of my favorite songs in concert," he said. "I want to dedicate the song to all of you because of its lyrics."

The concerts ended with hits such as "30 Sexy" and "Rainism."

Rain's next concert will be in Guangzhou, China, on Dec. 19.
