Thanks to a sporting event, we didn't get to enjoy two episodes of 'My Lovely Girl' this week. Ah well. At least we got one really good one.

RECAP
After Hyun Wook's declaration of love, Hyun Wook and Se Na celebrate his birthday in a unique way. Afterwards, Hyun Wook catches Se Na's cold. The next morning, Hyun Wook's best friend is waiting for him at work, making sure that he knows what he's doing with Se Na and telling him to take care of Hae Yoon, as well. Hyun Wook goes off with Hae Yoon in private and breaks it off with her. Hae Yoon visits Jae Young, who tells her she should resign her post at ANA and come work for him. Se Na and Shi Woo head off to visit his mother, who is still in junior high, getting the education she never got as a child. He chases off a reporter, who makes the threat about unflattering articles as he leaves. Shi Woo fights with his mom, telling her he doesn't need her to grovel before anyone for his sake. The next day, Hyun Wook cancels his date with Se Na for he is very sick. She spends the day taking care of him and cooking for him.

Hyun Wook's father confronts his wife about her conspiracy to take over ANA. Unable to face Hyun Wook anymore, Hae Yoon resigns and also tells Jae Young to stop his relentless crusade to hurt Hyun Wook. Se Na tries to get Hyun Wook to compose music again, but he can't bring himself to do it yet. Meanwhile, Hyun Wook's father tries to bid farewell to the other woman he has a child with, which still isn't good enough for his wife, who wants proof the child isn't his. Shi Woo delivers a heartwarming performance with Se Na's new song about his mother, and there isn't a dry eye in the house. Jae Young shows up to ruin things, telling Se Na that he knew her dead sister. Hyun Wook and Se Na go out to eat and at dinner, she tells him about what Jae Young said and asks Hyun Wook if he knew her sister, too...

Shi Woo's performance was heartwarming, the song was not. I felt the song was quite generic and could just as easily have been written for a lover as for a mother. If the song was an already-released single, well, they should have used another or written their own. I felt myself tear up when he was talking about himself personally on stage, giving his real name and talking about his mom. Take that, Rae Hoon!

A cake in the sand

For once, Krystal has a different facial expression -- a smile. It's actually nice to see. She's much prettier when she smiles. I liked the overall positive tone of the episode. As much angst as there is in Hae Yoon's pain and Jae Young's animosity, it's nice to see a couple in love. Obviously, Hyun Wook still has his demons, his father still has marriage troubles, and there will still be obstacles and naysayers, but I for one am glad Hyun Wook finally stepped up and decided to move forward. I'm firmly on Team Krystal/Rain, can you tell?

Hae Yoon's resignation was a little sudden, but, apparently, seeing Hyun Wook every day after being dumped was too much. What I am interested in is the fact that Jae Young tried to draft her, but she knew that would be problematic. She didn't want to cause more problems. I think that highlights the difference between the two. Jae Young feels wronged and can't let it go. Hae Yoon also feels wronged, but doesn't want to drag everyone else down in her misery. I hope she sticks around.

So what do you think Hyun Wook will say now that he's been asked about his dead fiancee? I'm not betting on full disclosure, but I could be wrong. And what do you think Se Na will do when she finds out? Could it be true that she will be hurt and shocked and all of a sudden their romance is upset again? Entertainment triple-threat Rain is no stranger to the entertainment industry, having amassed countless fans with his charismatic dancing, singing and acting throughout the years. From his debut at a tender age of 16 back in 1998 as a part of a now defunct boy group “Fanclub,” to his breakout role in “Full House,” the widely popular “King of K-pop” is now approaching his 17th year as a performer.

In 2014 alone, the 32-year-old superstar has managed several impressive feats. After starting the year off by releasing his first comeback album since military service and topping charts with “30 Sexy” and “La Song,” Rain headed back to the States for his first Hollywood project since 2009’s “Ninja Assassin,” working alongside Hollywood’s top-billing actors Bruce Willis and John Cusack in action-thriller “The Prince.” Currently, he stars alongside f(x)’s Krystal and Infinite’s L in much-anticipated Korean drama, “My Lovely Girl,” his first return to the small screen since 2010’s “The Fugitive: Plan B.” Later on this year, he will be joining Chinese actress Liu Yifei in his debut Chinese film project “Difficult Love.”

Despite achieving global recognition, this entertainment veteran has but one wish for the next ten years: to continue to improving himself simply as Jung Ji Hoon, who has never stopped working towards his dreams.

Knowing that fans must be curious about certain aspects of the actor’s life behind-the-scenes, Soompi compiled questions that readers sent in through our Twitter page under the hashtag #AskRain, which Rain was kind enough to answer in his own words (in English!). “The Prince” synopsis: Paul (Jason Patric), a mechanic with past ties to the underworld, is unwittingly drawn back into the life he gave up when he suspects that his daughter has been kidnapped; and he must team up with his old partner, Sam (John Cusack), in order to confront Omar (Bruce Willis), his former nemesis, in order to rescue her. Soompi: “The Prince” is your first Hollywood project since you were discharged from the military in 2013, and your second since “Ninja  Assassin” in 2009. Could you briefly introduce the film, your involvement in the project, as well as the role of Mark?

Rain: Mark is a cold-hearted and charismatic character as a close supporter of Omar. This is the first time being as a bad guy in a movie. I wanted to try my best with a humble attitude. I want to be an actor who always tries the best regardless of roles.

Soompi: Speaking of Omar, who’s played by Bruce Willis, you’ve had quite the opportunity to work alongside top-billing actors, such as John Cusack, for “The Prince.” What was that like?

Rain: Due to tight schedules, I didn’t get to have a chance to have much of a conversation, but in a production, seeing them concentrating on acting and communicating with the director, I learned a lot. I want to try diverse genre Hollywood films if I can.

Soompi: Do you have any memorable stories or moments from the set of “The Prince?” Can you share any funny or awkward moments during filming?

Rain: Every moment I shared with the actors was an unforgettable memory for me. When I met Bruce, I was little bit awkward to say hello to him, because he was such a great actor. But he welcomed me first. I cannot forget that moment. It was really… great.

Soompi: You also had quite a few action scenes in “The Prince.” What was your favorite scene to film? Did you have a special workout or diet to prepare for this movie?

Rain: I concentrated on my facial expressions and controlling my powers during the action part. I went to U.S to filming the movie right after my Japan tour, so I didn’t do any special exercise or a diet.

Soompi: Like the role of Mark, are there any other unusual or unexpected roles you would like to take on in the future? (@lovemesome_rain)
Rain: I want to try a passionate and simple-hearted character in a romance movie, that I can fully express my own wit.

Soompi: You’ve had quite a busy year in 2014 – not just filming a comeback Hollywood film, but also returning to the small screen after “The Fugitive: Plan B” in 2014. What was filming “My Lovely Girl” with f(x)’s Krystal like?

Rain: This is the first drama in four years for me, so I am so excited and nervous at the same time. All the actors and actress are really good and I am enjoying the time I spend with them in the field.

Soompi: Here’s a question that I know everyone is dying for us to ask: How did you feel when Megan Fox chose you once again as her ideal type? (@ara_

Rain: I was honored. I’d love to work with her for a good movie project.

Soompi: Of course, fans want to know: do you have any plans for a new album? What’s in store for the future?

Rain: I always think of the album which I am planning to produce or the songs I am planning to write, so  I am thinking about the new album now. Even though I don’t have a specific plan about my new album now, I promise I will release a next album and share the songs with the fans in the future.

Rain and Krystal embraced each other romantically by the sea.

On the twelfth episode of the SBS drama "My Lovely Girl", Lee Hyeon-wook (Rain) confessed his love to Yoon Sena (Krystal).

Lee Hyeon-wook was nervous because Seo Jae-yeong (Kim Jin-woo) was trying to tell Yoon Sena about the relationship between Lee Hyeon-wook and her dead sister Yoon So-eun (Lee Si-ah). When he learned that Seo Jae-yeong was meeting Sena at the bar So-eun used to work at, Lee Hyeon-wook got Sena in his car and took her to the beach.

He then told her there, "If I don't turn out to be the nice person you thought, will that be alright? If I have to go somewhere far away will you be able to go?" Sena nodded and said, "You can't be bad. If I hide somewhere, will you find me?" and he nodded as well.

They hugged and promised their love for each other, then prepared to go abroad.

Rain has been very busy this year with several projects, including releasing his sixth studio album Rain Effect in January and promoting his double title hit tracks “30 Sexy” and “La Song”. Koreaboo: How was it filming the movie “The Prince”? Are you used to the Hollywood life yet?

Rain: Due to other schedules, I joined late so I was worried. However, the staff and the actors made feel comfortable so I could get used to the atmosphere easily and concentrate on acting. I felt very thankful. I can’t say that now I am fully used to the Hollywood life but I am slowly getting used to it.

Koreaboo: Would you ever considering moving and living in Los Angeles?

Rain: I think I could get used to the local culture quickly because I spend several months [there] when I work in a film. 

Koreaboo: Fans have been eagerly awaiting to see if you will star in a Korean drama or movie, will you be focusing only on Hollywood for your acting career?

Rain: If it’s a good film, regardless of if it’s a Hollywood one or Korean one, I will try my best. Now, I am filming [the] Korean drama My Lovely Girl. 

Koreaboo: Do you have plans for a new comeback album in Korea?

Rain: Now, I am filming a Korean drama, so I am concentrating on acting. I don’t have a specific plan about my new album, but I am always thinking about it.

Koreaboo: Do you have plans to do any solo tours outside of Korea?

Rain:  I have a plan to have a tour to see my fans after I release the next album. I will try my best to get to meet my fans as soon as possible.

Koreaboo: You were challenged by SHINee’s Taemin to do the ALS “Ice Bucket Challenge”, are you good friends with him? How was it like completing the challenge, and how do you feel about the cause / movement and how many celebrities in Korea are participating?

Rain:  Taemin is like a younger brother I care for. When I see him, Taemin is always polite and always tries hard, which makes me feel proud of him. This ice bucket challenge is very special to me. The man who is like a teacher and father to me and made me debut as “Rain” has been suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease for three years. I wanted to deliver the true message of the campaign through this challenge.

Koreaboo: Recently, Megan Fox mentioned you in an interview as her ideal type.

Rain: I feel honored that she mentioned me as her ideal type. I’d love to work with her for a good movie project.
