K-pop singer Rain to showcase new album in Beijing

SEOUL, Feb. 19 (Yonhap) -- South Korean pop singer Rain will showcase several new songs in Beijing next month, his management agency said Wednesday.

Rain will appear before some 9,000 fans in China during his single showcase event scheduled for March 28 at the National Stadium in Beijing, Cube Entertainment said.

2월 초에는 가수 럼블피쉬가 신종플루 확진판정을 받고 스케줄 조정에 나섰는데요.

럼블피쉬는 40도 가까운 심한 고열과 기침을 호소하다가 병원을 찾았고 확진 판정을 받은 것이라고 합니다.

이들 외에도, JYP의 신예그룹 갓세븐의 멤버 제이비, 주니어, 영재가 신종플루에 걸려 음악방송에 일부 멤버가 빠진 채 무대를 소화했고요.

에이젝스 재형도 신종플루 진단을 받고 휴식과 치료에 전념해왔다고 합니다.

지난 2009년 신종플루는 전 세계를 공포로 몰아넣으며 한국 연예계에도 강타했었는데요.

With recent news of the cast of SBS’s “Running Man” going to Australia to film a new episode, the guest celebrities appearing on the Australia specials have finally been announced.

On the 19th of February, staff have revealed that Rain, Kim Woobin and Lee Jongsuk will be departing for Australia on the 22nd of February to join the cast of “Running Man”.

This Australian special of “Running Man” will be the first time for the cast to film in a country outside of Asia, and thus many people are showing a great interest and support.

However, with recent news of Lee Jongsuk having caught the H1N1 influenza on the 18th, things are unclear as to whether he really will be able to join the crew in filming in Australia. Thus, Lee Jongsuk’s agency will focus all their attention on his recovery, but until then, they will just have to see how things are.

Rain will hold a showcase to promote his sixth studio alum “Rain Effect” in Beijing next month.

Cube Entertainment announced Wednesday that he will hold the “2014 Rain Effect Show in Beijing” at the National Gymnasium on March 28. The singer’s agency said that they are expecting around 9,000 fans to attend.

This will be Rain’s first official album showcase since its release on Jan. 2. The singer, Jung Ji-hoon, topped domestic charts with “30 Sexy” and “La Song” from the album.

The tickets for Rain’s showcase will open worldwide on Feb. 28.

“Rain Effect” is his first album since his discharge for compulsory national military service last year. The singer and actor, who is dating actress Kim Tae-hee, has been actively promoting his new album and filming the Hollywood movie “The Prince.” He has also been cast as a guest star for the popular variety program “Running Man” that will be shot in Australia later this month.

On February 19, an official revealed that the three of them would be leaving for Australia on February 22.

This will be an episode to watch as it is rare for 3 top celebrities to appear on a show such as this.

This is also special because it is t he first time "Running Man" will be filming in another country that is not in Asia.

Also, news recently revealed that actor Lee Jong Suk is currently in the hospital with swine flu and his appearance on the show is uncertain.

Lee Jong Suk's agency stated today, "He has confirmed to appear on the show, but because he is currently sick in the hospital, we will have to see how his condition is before knowing if he will make an appearance."

On the other hand, "Running Man" has held specials in Thailand, Macao, Vietnam in the past. 

Kim Woo Bin recently had a photo shoot in the Mojave Desert for the W Korea fashion magazine. 

Rain will be hosting a solo showcase in China next month titled, "2014 RAIN EFFECT SHOW IN BEIJING". The show is expected to gather 9,000 fans. The Chinese media has been reporting daily, saying that "the emperor of hallyu movement is coming to China."

‘La Song’ remix gets banned

Broadcaster KBS announced yesterday that trot singer Tae Jin-ah’s remix of Rain’s “La Song” cannot be aired due the lyrics. No, not that they’re dirty, but because they mention international brands Maserati and Ferrari.

The lyrics themselves are pretty innocuous: “I don’t need keys for Maserati, Ferrari/ because I am so rich already.”

But under Korea’s broadcasting regulations, no brands are allowed to be mentioned in pop song lyrics.

Rain changed the words slightly - to “Macellara, Fellara” - on his single to make it onto the air. But Tae apparently was unaware of the issue and recorded the original words.

The Rain and Tae mashup went viral online in January, leading the two singers to perform the track on KBS’s “Music Bank.”

KBS also banned some other songs, including Ga-in’s new song “Fxxk U,” for using offensive and indecent words. Yeri Band from “Superstar K4” and the rapper Swings were also banned from the station because of their “provocative expressions.”

Today on February 22nd, Running Man members along with Rain and Kim Woo Bin departed for Australia from Incheon airport for their upcoming special episode.

In particular, Song Ji Hyo due to her drama filming schedule, she didn't go to the airport today with the members but she will go later on February 23rd. Many fans fathered at the airport to see the members off, proving the popularity of the show.

It was said they will stay in Australia for five days and four nights for the filming, and are expected to return to Korea on February 26th.

On the February 22 broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Entertainment Relay', Rain attracted a large crowd of fans even in the cold weather and gave hugs to lucky fan girls.

When asked about the project duo with Tae Jin Ah known as BiJinAh, Rain shared, "I thought that if we show it on stage, people will like it a lot. Mothers and fathers will like it. I wondered if a trot singer would match with a dance singer. But fortunately, it turned out well."

He also reflected on his filming for Hollywood film 'The Prince', sharing, "Whenever I filmed with Bruce Willis, I tried to be better than him somehow. But how can I? I can't. But now I realized that helping my co-star succeed is teamwork."

Rain also shared, "I'm actively looking for a drama right now. I want to do a sweet, romantic comedy." The reporter asked, "Like 'Full House'?", to which Rain answered, "Yes. Something like that. [A drama that takes place] on one set?... I'm sorry. I want to film it comfortably", making the reporter laugh with his honest wish to take a break from the action scenes in his films.

On February 22nd, RAIN left to Australia for SBS 'Running Man'.

Lee Jong Seok was planning to join the show as well, but his participation was cancelled because of his flu infection.

Meanwhile, 'Running Man' members had recordings at Macau, Thailand, China, and Vietnam, but it is going to be the first time for them to record the show at a non-Asian country.
