According to 'Tungstar', one of the Chinese media, Rain working as a model of a Chinese prestigious cosmetics brand, visited Shanghai for a commercial promotion event last 3rd.

 

As this was his first appearance in front of his Chinese fans after his discharge from the army, he received a more enthusiastic response than ever.

 

Rain with a white jacket and black pants at the scene of the event, captivated his Chinese fans with his stylish looks. And, he said hi to them in Chinese, "Hello, everyone. This is Rain. Long time no see. I've missed you so much.", which made them much more excited.

 

Meanwhile, Rain talked about his future plans through press interviews, "I don't have a definite plan yet, but I'd like to release my new album or to play in a drama or a move as soon as possible. The black and red are strong contrasting colours, and the combination makes the wearer stands out.

However, the difference I see of Rain then and now is that now, he does not go in singlet with bunched up sweater slung on his shoulder and carrying his backpack like we see in the artwork above.  

Presently, he is very careful with his looks and.........  he looks really awesome in the current refined image as we see in his airport fashions at Incheon International and Gimpo International airports!  :-bd :x

Then back to simple and neat casual for departure to Seoul. So far, I can sum up that he takes extra care when he flies out and change to neat casual, but still presentable wear, when he returns to Seoul. Of course, it is in part for the public image, since he is news each time he steps out.....  :-bd

But come to the Mentholatum event in Shanghai today, whoever advises him on the dressing could do a better job, in my view. :-O :-S   Perhaps that could be exactly how he is wanted to wear..... 

Hopefully with this event, we'll see new CFs and adverts of Rain for Mentholatum, to replace some of the PS pictures that we see in the banners at today's event. They have done justice to his muscular and tone body before he enlisted and it should not be a problem for a repeat to further boost sales and make his fans happy!  :x :-bd

Singer Rain is seen starting his career as an entertainer after his discharge from the army.



An official from Rain's management agency 'Cube Entertainment' told our correspondent news about his future activities on the afternoon of the 4th. "Rain has recently received some offers to star in Chinese films, but he has gotten a number of offers from around the globe, including China, not just from Korea. True, but he has not made any final decisions yet. He'll make a comeback with a new album or a movie soon."




When asked about the news of Rain's purchasing an apartment for 4.5 billion won, the official drew the line at disclosing his (Rain's) personal things by saying, "I don't know his personal things." Since he was discharged from military duty two months ago, singer and "Full House" star Rain has been very busy.

He spent the first weeks of his free time visiting his family and made a trip to his mother's grave.

For his first public appearance, he traveled to Thailand to perform at the Sonic Bang festival. The August festival featured many famous international musicians including Epik High.

The fact that Rain was performing led many fans to assume that he was making new music but his agency, Cube Entertainment said he was not working on any new music for a while.

 "He is not working on a new album", said an agency representative. "As he was recently discharged, he will take a break and then start working on new songs."

He took his next trip to China primarily because of a cosmetic brand that he is promoting there. In Shanghai he was again asked about his future plans.

"Nothing is certain yet," he said. "But I will come back with a new drama or album soon."

That drama might be filmed in China.

"I am meeting with several Chinese directors," he said, impressing fans with his fluent Mandarin. "And I hope to see you again very soon."

Although he became involved in a few scandals while he was in the military, he left on a positive note. He was discharged as scheduled cleared of all charges.

The latest scandal involved his job as a military public relations officer. It was said that he did not file the necessary paperwork for his position.

He was also implicated in the scandal that brought down the Defense Media Agency and eliminated the special celebrity recruit status assigned to actors and singers. He was seen dining off base with singers Se7en and Mighty Mouth's Sangchu. They were later caught going to an adult massage parlor, but by then Rain had gone home.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Defense, Rain was cleared of those charges. Se7en and Sangchu were punished and reassigned.

Rain began making plans for his post-enlistment career before ending his military duty. He signed on with Cube Entertainment, which also represents 4Minute, G.NA and Beast.

At that time, Hong Seung Sung, the president of Cube, said, "You will soon be able to witness the beginning of Rain's second wave. He has already shown his potential by becoming a world-class entertainer and his future holds no limits."

JYP Entertainment was Rain's previous agency. Hong said that when he worked at JYP he was one of the first to recognize Rain's potential.
