Lee Je Woon | I thought he was a tough man for me to interview, because he is one of the hottest stars recently with the TV variety program, the drama Fugitives and the cinema Trouble Shooter. Lee Jung Jin may be said to enjoy his second primetime since his debut. I thought he wouldn’t be so frank even in a private meeting. But the real Lee Jung Jin I met was like a neibouring oppa. He was drinking soju spirit feeling Pusan night breeze. While drinking, he watched Fugitives through DMB and told me a behind story about it saying, “Oh, this is a really interesting scene!” Also he enjoyed tasting laver-wrapped sashimi and kimchee. ‘This is a perfect trio dish!’

I miss my home.”

He was eating and drinking at table full served so-called like the table legs are almost broken. “Pusan food is delicious! We can’t work if we don’t eat enough food.” That day Lee Jung Jin said that he really missed his home while eating. “I really liked staying away home before. Of course it wasn’t difficult for him to cook ramen by himself. Lee Jung Jin is very good at cooking ramen. Once a certain woman wrote: Lee Jung Jin, you catch Rain please. I will catch you Lee Jung Jin! I’m very pleased with it. (Laughter)”

I watched Win Win yesterday. Half of the program was devoted to Kim Jae Dong and half to Sung Dong Il. From the preview it seems that next episode will be devoted only to Sung Dong Il and that means that our Fugitive crew will probably have more airtime!!!! Hurrrrraaaayyyyyy!!!!!!! Now I really can`t wait to see next episode!!!! But like bbly I hope to see Rain and LJJ in some other variety show together.

SDI talked about young female leads, who worked with him recently. He shared many stories about LNY and said few words about SMA.

SDI was born to be a star in a comedies! As for me he was definitely the brightest character in MGIG. Whenever he appeared I just had to laugh. But in Fugitive he has a taught competition. I love scenes between Danny Ahn and his superior; scenes with Gong Hyung Jin (Master Jang), who`s hilarious and last but not the least Ji Woo (but here I`m not objective at all). For me the best points of Runaway is humor, cast and photography. The soundtrack isn`t bad either…

지우를 체포하고 맞은 해방감도 잠시, 도수는 수사를 하면 할수록 너무 쉽고 완벽하게 증거들이 나타나면서 이 사건이 단순한 살인 사건이 아닐 것 같다는 의혹을 키워간다.

카이는 이제 양회장과 완벽한 호흡을 맞춰 진이의 목숨을 얻는 댓가로 찾아야 할 조선은행권 화폐를 회수하려한다.

태연자약하던 지우도 전담 변호사가 잠적하고 멜기덱으로 지우를 지목하는 숱한 증거들이 줄을 이으면서 본인 스스로도 인정할 수 밖에 없을 만큼 악화된 상황을 맞는다.

파트너나 친구일 수 없는 동료 나카무라와 제임스는 이 틈을 비집고 들어와 지우를 더욱 고립시키고...

Kai (Daniel Henney) tries to make the Josun Bank bill back for sparing Jinny (Lee Na Young) her life, perfectly getting set to team with 'Yang Du Hee' (Old man)

The situation becomes so aggravated that 'Ji Woo' who has been completely nonchalant must avow that he is the Megideck, as 'Ji Woo's attorney suddenly disappears and they have obtained conclusive evidence that 'Ji Woo' is the Megideck.

Two private detectives 'Nakamura Howang' and' James' who can never be Ji Woo's friends nor colleagues, have eyes on Ji Woo's position as the most excellent private detective. On that occasion, 'Ji Woo' becomes further isolated.

[10 Oct 18] Rain sued for failing to pay gambling debt in U.S.: report

Rain, a South Korean pop star, has been sued in a U.S. court on the charge of failing to pay back gambling debt of $150,000 he owed to a Korean-American named Andrew Kim, a local sports daily reported on Monday.

According to the report, Rain often placed bets at a casino of Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, and Kim lent Rain $150,000 as a gambling money in June 2007, but the Korean Wave star has not paid back Kim yet.

What’s controversial is a suggestion in the court document Kim filed that Rain is a habitual gambler. “They (Rain and Kim) stayed at the Bellagio. This is where Rain first revealed to Kim his heavy gambling habit. Kim was stunned to discover that Rain would repeatedly place bets upwards of $10,000.”

If true, Rain public reputation is likely to be undermined seriously as he has long promoted his hardworking image as a singer who has overcome all the personal obstacles to rise to the top in the field.

J Tune Entertainment, representing Rain, said Kim's allegations are groundless, denying that the pop star habitually gambled in Las Vegas.

Life is imitating art in the case of Rain’s continuing fall from grace.

Just as the allegation of defrauding investors in his media promotions company J.Tune Entertainment was subsiding, the South Korean pop-star is now in the news for an alleged gambling debt owed to a Korean-American entrepreneur.

The popular Korean Wave figure once described by the local media as a “world star” has found himself embroiled in yet another money-related mess.

A lawsuit has been filed against the 30-year-old singer and actor in the U.S., claiming that Rain failed to pay back a gambling debt of $150 thousand that was fronted by IT entrepreneur and concert promoter Andrew Kim, a local sports daily reported Monday.

In the report, Kim is quoted as saying Rain frequently placed bets on baccarat games in the VIP lounge of The Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada, with money Kim had bankrolled during the time Rain was in the U.S. preparing for a 2007 concert in Los Angeles.

The concert failed to materialize, allegedly due to a slew of conflicting reasons brought up by both Rain’s camp and Kim’s promotional company.

The debacle resulted in a lawsuit filed against Rain.

Court documents Kim filed for the latest suit describe Rain as a habitual gambler stating, “(Rain and Kim) stayed at the Bellagio where (Rain) first revealed to Kim his heavy gambling habit. Kim was stunned to discover that Rain would repeatedly place bets upwards of $10 thousand.”

In response, J.Tune swiftly issued its own statement Monday saying the latest charges were false and that Kim has a personal vendetta against Rain.

“We are discussing how we can counter sue Kim and get the truth out to the public,” a J.Tune spokesperson told The Korea Herald.

For now, it seems a rocky path awaits Rain, whose latest return to television with the KBS series “Plan B” has been getting soundly beaten by its rival, the SBS drama “Daemul,” in its Wednesday-Thursday timeslot.

Stacked on top of his financial woes, Rain is also suspected of trying to dodge mandatory Korean military service, with Kim saying Rain asked to be introduced to a specialist who could help him obtain U.S. permanent residency. If the current allegations are proven to be true, Rain’s public reputation is likely to be irrevocably damaged as he has packaged his public persona as that of a hardworking entertainer who has overcome personal hardships to become one of Korea’s top stars.

[Oct-21-2010] Expectations are growing that 'The Fugitive Plan B's plot line will start to gather momentum.

KBS 2TV's drama 'The Fugitive Plan B's plot line has started to gather momentum.

In the 7th episode of the drama on October 20th, Kai (Daniel Henney) brought Jinny to 'Yang Du Hee' (Old man) as 'Yang Du Hee' ordered, but Kai insisted that he would never forsake Jinny (Lee Na Young) in front of 'Yang Du Hee'.

Kai, who is as cold as a stone, had 'Ji Woo' (Rain) pegged as the murder of Jinny's family members by saying, "Ji Woo is the Megideck", and then, Kai and Jinny enjoyed dating in a long time.

'Ji Woo' who didn't know such situation, visited Jinny with impatience in order to tell her that Kai was in league with the enemy, but he saw Kai and Jinny kissing. To make matters worse, 'Ji Woo' was arrested by Do Soo (Lee Jung Jin)

When 'Ji Woo' who never lost his sense of smile in any dangerous situations, was devastated without smiling by the situation where Jinny was in Kai's arms without receiving Ji Woo's phone call, its audiences felt sorry for 'Ji Woo' to see him in such a situation.

Even with the crisis, 'Ji Woo' never hesitated to be humorous. In particular, even in the difficult situation where 'Ji Woo' was arrested by 'Do Soo', 'Ji Woo' was humorously seen presenting himself as the love consultant for both 'Do Soo' and detective 'Yun' (Yun Jin Seo), which made the audiences laugh. A man uses a woman who loves and trusts him for his own hidden purpose in the KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama “The Fugitive: Plan B.”

In the October 20 episode, Kai (Daniel Henney) brings Ji-ni (Lee Na-young) to Macau as ordered by Yang Doo-hee (Song Jae-ho), who is suspected of being linked with Melgidec, the mastermind behind the murder of Ji-ni’s parents. Kai tells him that Ji-ni is his fiancée, hinting that he would protect her from any harm. But it turns out that it’s just part of his plot, and he suggests to Doo-hee that they make Ji-woo (Rain), a private investigator hired by Ji-ni, the suspect who killed Ji-ni’s parents

To make Ji-ni completely believe and trust him, Kai seduces her by dating and kissing her. Then he tells her that his own investigation found that Ji-woo is Melgidec.

Meanwhile, Ji-woo, who is on the desperate run from both Doo-hee and police investigator Do-soo (Lee Jung-jin), tries to let Ji-ni know that Kai is working for Do-hee. But Ji-ni does not believe him and chooses to stay with Kai.

What is worse, Ji-woo is caught by Do-soo, and Do-hee plots to paint him as the one behind the murder of Ji-ni’s parents to get rid of him.
