Korean actress Song Hye Kyo and Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi met in the press release of 'The Crossing,' a Chinese war action movie by director John Woo, which took place in the Beijing hotel in Beijing, China, on April 16, 2014. 
Song Hye Kyo in the press release wore a white blouse and blue skirt, exuding her clean and beautiful beauty. Zhang Ziyi, on the other hand, wore a red mini dress, showing off her strong and alluring charms. Song Hye Kyo tied her hair back to show her neckline, whereas Zhang Ziyi wore her hair down and wavy, which gave the feminine aura. 'The Crossing,' a Chinese war action movie by director John Woo, tells a story of the ship 'The Crossing' which sank into the sea in China in 1949. The film is going to premiere this November.

I've lurked many of Soompi's forums for years(esp SHK's forum since I'm a huge fan), but I'm not much of an active poster. This must be my first post in what feels like an eternity, but I just HAD to bring myself to comment.  My jaw literally dropped when I saw pics of her on the red carpet for "The Crossing". I didn't think she could top her getup at the 2013 daesang awards, but she did!

thank you dearies for the loads of photos! Hye Kyo does look stunningly and jaw-dropping-ly beautiful. Look at how that dress accentuated her flawless skin. It seems that the Jenny Packham dress was made for her. I really like her(or her stylist's) choice of earrings. it suits well. and that careful thought of not adding any necklace on it.  sorry for my ramblings but I am even more excited for her attires in her upcoming events. 
I am glad to notice that HXM was talking to her in english and translated some part of speech of the hosts. Gaaaaaaah! they really look good together. I couldn't wait for this film! I do wish Takeshi was there. It would have been really nice to see them in one frame.

Qn: You have had a chance to work with 2 top Chinese directors, Wong Kar Wai and John Woo.Everyone says you are very lucky but netizens says you are not so lucky as you have waited 8 years for this movie and 4 years with Grandmaster, which totaled up to 12 years.How do you feel?
Actually i think the directors suffered more than us.As an actress, this kind of slow and waiting is expected and  i enjoy it, just like Mr HXM, we thoroughly enjoy the process.Working with these 2 great Directors is an honor and an opportunity that doesn't come often.These whole process i enjoy it and i don't think it's very slow.Its not a matter of waiting but so much time has passed and this whole journey i grew up with these 2 Directors from a young girl to an adult now. So i want to thank these 2 Directors for choosing me. Spending so much time, i know this movie will be a great one,hope everyone will be satisfied with it.
Q:From Grandmaster to The Crossing, what is your take on working with Chinese actors, is there any interesting story to share?
First of all when i was filming for Grandmaster, that's my first time filming in China and i was not familiar with the surroundings and i was tense all the time.However as time passed, working with Chinese actors till now i am able to loosen up and i am more diligent in practising for my lines. There are some interesting thing that happened when i was practising my Mandarin lines with Chinese actors,i really love those moments.I was very carefree on the filming site and very happy. Qn: Would you prefer prefer Chinese film for your future work?
Chinese market is one of the most important in the world, for me it's an important one.I am very lucky because starting from a decade ago till now many Chinese have come up to me asking me to take part in their projects/films, so being able to be wherever i am now i am grateful to everyone.In the future i will work hard and take part in more films

Qn: In Grandmaster, you were beautiful in cheongsam.In The Crossing, you donned in Chinese outifts too, are you satisfied with it?
I wore my first cheongsam in Grandmaster, i feel that cheongsam is a sexy outfit.It accentuates your figure and curves.I was nervous when wearing cheongsam for the first time so before filming i would go on a strict diet because it would not look good if you are not slim enough. This time round of course i did wear some cheongsam but i also wore modern clothes for that era.Wearing them it's as though i was being transported to that era and living it, so i am very happy and it's beautiful.

......Good thing HXM has a  girlfriend or else....hihihi. 

BUt I love the way HXM took care of Kyo during the presscon and the red carpet walk. He was so proud to escort Kyo. He was beaming with pride. He was also attentive to her, leading Kyo the way, guiding her as to where to pose or sign on the wall. He even acted as a translator for her but good thing MsTrans came to the rescue (as seen on the video)....now I'm an HXM fan too. hehehehe.

and wow again...wat a vision!! i was actually expecting our kyo in white dress to be honest.. so wen i saw her in that black full length gown she totally caught me off guard and took my breath way. i repeat, what a vision!!! no wonder people are smitten by her beauty. she looks absolutely ravishing ; 

and im on kim's team too. i miss seeing takeshi very much but i shud say HXM totally made up for it.he was an absolute gentleman to kyo and they both make a dashing pair.cant wait to see their chemistry onscreen

Song Hye-kyo vs. Zhang Ziyi

Two leading actresses from Korea and China have come together. Song Hye-kyo and Zhang Ziyi attended the attended the previewing event of the movie "The Crossing" at the Beijing Hotel, China on the 16th.

Their extreme fashion drew the eye. Song Hye-kyo wore a white blouse with a blue skirt and looked elegant. Zhang Ziyi on the other hand wore a red mini dress and looked strong.

Even their hairstyles contrasted. Song Hye-kyo had her hair up and revealed her long neck-line. On the other hand Zhang Ziyi let go of her long wavy hair which came down to her shoulders.

Meanwhile, "The Crossing" is a recreation of the sinking of the ship called "The Crossing" in 1949. Song Hye-kyo, Zhang Ziyi, Chang Chen, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Huang Xiaoming and other Chinese top stars are lining up the cast. To be released in November.
