I just finished watching Monster and I have to say it's one of the better plot-driven animes I've seen so far. A total of 74 epsidoes and not a single filler episodes... Episodes that make absolutely no sense and may seem like filler at first will eventually make sense and tie back with the main storyline later on.

There's this anime that my brother watches nowaday...

I think it's called Higurashi no noku something 0____o

Its like, every 4 eps the main charcter dies and in teh 5th eps, they come back alive and it starts all over again till the 4th eps where the main character dies a different way.

Guerren Lagun - By far one of the most EPIC anime I've ever seen, very weird storyline though

Monster - definitely. A surgeon does a good deed that goes terribly wrong.

just the best plot full of so many twist and not a single filler in my opinion....
