For the past year, whenever I passed by a Samsung shop, I looked high and Low, right and left, in and out for his pictures or even leaflets whether I be in Singapore, Malaysia or Korea. Even entrusted friends who went to Bangkok to lookout for me for his Samsung pictures. Disappointment after disappointment. Whenever friends and I pass by a LG shop (you know the endorser)I sheepishly walked away while my friends will admire the billboard in front and the pictures within. You can find his pictures even in a small stall selling LG handphones at Ang Mo Kio hub. Yet for Samsung even in mega Malls one don't see any picture of the endorser. Ironically, the Friend who helped me most in the posting of his pictures of Soo Hyun is an ardent fan of that actor not Soo Hyun. Whenever we argue (normally me against 3) their comments definitely will be "BUT HE IS NOT HANDSOME". Mine reply will be "BUT HE CANT ACT WELL"
Obviously my friends don't quite believe that he is the endorser for Samsung. Now with these pictures, I can prove to them that I am not mistaken and that he is the endorser for Samsung. I remember seeing small pictures with he holding a handphone but I can't prove that is Samsung h/p.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but seriously how can anyone say this face is not handsome. His features are almost perfect. But, pretty faces are a dime a dozen in showbiz and can be replaced with those younger and more beautiful/handsome over time. Only talent stays with you forever. With his good looks and incredible acting skills we can be sure we can enjoy Soo Hyun's movies and dramas for many many more years to come.

Totally agree with your last sentence. In just a few years, Soo Hyun has become THE MOST sought after actor in Korea. In 2014 and 2015, he was voted by PD's at SBS, KBS and MBC as the actor they most want to cast in their dramas and won by a landslide. Some film directors even say that if Soo Hyun will star in their film, they are willing to serve in the army for him so he doesn't have to go, lol.
I think the snubbing incident is a different one from the Boys Over Flowers casting. It has to do a director that ignored him when he was still a rookie.

Of course, I took photos of all KSH standees, billboards, and endorsement products that I bumped into. You will be surprise that there aren't as many as I thought because Seoul is so big and there are many celebs who are endorsers. Jun Ji Huyn is much much much more popular in terms of endorsement. Her Paris Baguette standees are everywhere. Soo Huyn Cafe Benne is not as popular. However, Soo Huyn is VERY WELL RESPECTED by the Koreans. My biggest regret was that I missed out on the Saturday when he was appointed as Seoul ambassador at DongDaeMunPlaza (DDP). I came two hours after the ceremony was over.
Thanks for sharing! It's always nice to hear what people who've worked with artists say about them. There are many beautiful and talented people in the entertainment field but I believe Soo Hyun is a very unique and bright individual that makes him stand out from others. It is this x factor, along with a lot of hard work and dedication, that propels him to such fame and success.
I was in Seoul last month and I too thought I would see a lot more Soo Hyun advertisements, such as at the airport since he is the ambassador for Incheon International Airport. Even so, there are still a lot more Soo Hyun ads compared to other celebrities, even more than Jun Ji Hyun (maybe some of her endorsements ended since your visit). I love visiting Seoul, because there's a very good chance you'll get to see Soo Hyun's beautiful face on the side of buses, buildings, window displays, subway stations, etc.

Really? I just tried watching and it's not blocked. I wonder if it's restricted in certain regions. I'm in North America and the videos play fine.

When PRODUCERS were first shown, I managed to watch it from Dramafire. At that time, I was very busy occupied with some important work. My 100 percent attention was on his acting and nothing else. When the case was completed the site was blocked. Besides his acting, I missed every lessons/wisdom derived from the drama.
Am very grateful to Yuzu16 for making the effort to produce the extract on Monday. I am very sure that doing that research took up at least a few hours of your precious time. Hi Yangxu, you're very welcome. I've only watched Producers once while it was airing but somehow the saying stuck with me. To me it felt like the words were coming from Kim Soo Hyun the actor and delivered through his character, Bak Seung Chan. Soo Hyun has accomplished so much at such an young age and I imagine he must have heard some harsh words from those who envy his success, especially in Korea where seniority is very much valued. Even for winning awards, most people think you have to reach a certain age and have acted for a period of time before you deserve them. While I didn't particularly enjoyed Producers, mainly because of the script, I felt Soo Hyun did a fabulous job portraying BSC. I couldn't believe BSC and DJM are played by the same person. In fact, I feel that way with all his works. I never see Kim Soo Hyun acting those characters because he totally immerses himself in the role and becomes the person in the drama/movie. It's really amazing how he transforms into a completely different person in each of his project. A truly gifted actor.

I know Soo Hyun's fans may be bothered by some netizen's criticism towards his Daesang winnings but don't worry, select netizens' view do not make up the view of the general public. Just like the outrage from the bottled water incident in 2014, only people with strong opinions will bother to go online and voice their opinion, the truth was, the general public did not think much of it. Also the majority of the criticism is directed towards the awards committee and not Soo Hyun, for many people acknowledge his acting skills but feel that Producers was not his best work. I think it also has to do with Producers not being a mega hit like his previous dramas and the story was lacking.
Soo Hyun has a good head on his shoulders and will not be affected by these criticisms. If it did, he would not be where he is now. This reminds me of a scene in Producers where Seung Chan was telling Cindy not to let other people's words hurt her. I don't remember it exactly so I looked up the recap on Dramabeans and they summarized it nicely.

Even with all his success and top star status, Soo Hyun stays true to his values and remains humble and polite. You can't help but love him more as you learn more about him.

That's only one HK newspaper's speculation. I think Sulli was always only offered a small supporting role. Han Ji Eun, the rookie actress they finally chose, was chosen from a pool of 4200 applicants.

They just said the event is postponed. I imagine they'll try to hold it sometime in January. Just learned that Soohyun will be receiving another award! He is the recipient of the Most Brilliant Star award at the 2015 Korean Top Star Award show to be held on December 29. Hope to see him then! Then there's the KBS Drama Awards. Wow, back to back award shows, woohoo!

Dear friends. I went Insadong just now. I was very amused by the piece of art of KSH there. All portraits there were half body except his. Obviously his is the biggest picture there. On my way back, I went to a shop somewhere near my hotel to purchase a can of beer. Haha I saw a box with his photograph printed on it. Some products of Lemona . I still bought it though not knowing what is in it cos the photo is so well taken. Hope you like the 2 pictures. Good night.
Hello friends. I reached South Korea this morning and went round shopping for his calendars . I got 2 different kinds of calendars. Right on top of the picture is a mini blanket with 3 of his pictures. Right below of the said picture is spectacular case.very unique. Will shop again tomorrow. Good night.

I think the critic meant that the number of CFs Soo Hyun has and the amount of money he made is at a level that is difficult for any artist in general to surpass, not that Soo Hyun has reached his peak with endorsements.
Last year Soo Hyun endorsed 35 products at the same time and that is a very rare occurrence since it's very likely the artist will endorse products in similar product categories and sponsors don't like that. For example, Bean Pole Outdoor and Fila, Beyond and Face Shop, Coke and Hengda mineral water, Yila yogurt drink.
