You're welcome yangxu. Actually I became a fan after MLFTS as well, since then I've become a little obsessed with Soo Hyun and spent more hours than I care to admit in reading everything about him. From the pictures you post, it appears you are sticking to one source in getting your Soo Hyun fix. In addition to that, you can try youtube for eng sub interviews, twitter and weibo for latest news and pictures, Google news for current news and back reading this soompi thread. It will take a looong time, but you will pick up lots of valuable info and insight as the different members over the years have been great in sharing everything about Soo Hyun. The only pity is the Soompi site was upgraded or moved to a different server last year and a lot of pictures are now broken links.

If the news were true, this gentleman deserves our unending love and support. He should get an Award for being so successful and yet so humble. True that he had gone through the worst of life and even tried to make ends meet by singing at subways. He should remain humble. However, never forget his age then. There are those who have their heads turned by success at a young age. Soo Hyun was not affected at all.
Soo Hyun, always remain humble and you will be a legend not just one of the 4 hallyu kings.
Soo Hyun was already really popular after Dream High in 2011, but his popularity and career sky rocketed in 2012 after Moon embracing the Sun. He was signed on 17 CF deals and was already a multi millionaire (in US dollars) then. While the number of CFs is half of his would be record (35) in 2014, let's not forget this is only in Seoul. I imagine it would be impossible not to see his face on any given day being the face of 17 brands.
While he didn't grow up rich, it's not as bad as you believe. Soo Hyun attended Joongdong Middle School and High School, which is a very prestigious school in Seoul, so he didn't exactly grow up poor. And the time he performed at the subway was a spontaneous act he did with friends for fun, not a way to make a living.
I agree he is a very grounded and humble person and I attribute that to his momma and aunties for raising him to be the gentleman he is today.

I don't know whether it was lost in translation, but Lemona is indeed a Korean product. It became very popular among Chinese consumers because of Soo Hyun's endorsement.

Top 20 weekday dramas with highest ratings in the last 5 years among KBS, MBC and SBS. The top two spots go to none other than our Soo Hyun's drama, Sun Moon and Stars. Congratulations!!! This is no easy feat, can you imagine how many dramas were aired in the last 5 years among the 3 stations? Only TWO managed to get average ratings over 20%. Dream High also made it on the list at #18.

LOL, I think you're being a bit harsh on the guy. If I remember correctly, he is one of the martial arts choreographer for Real, and not an actor. He was probably on vacation on his own time, but you're right, he should be more careful. People know he's involved with Real and any slightest relation to Kim Soo Hyun will pique's people's interest.
It is also confirmed, this time for real, that Soo Hyun will not be attending the Hanhoo event. Many fans were hoping for a miracle and still showed up at the Hang Zhou airport hoping there would be a change in plans again since the organizers have been vague about Soo Hyun's appearance. Now many people feel like the organizers are using Soo Hyun's name to create hype for the event. His contract actually doesn't officially start until April and as of now, Soo Hyun is also the model for the Face Shop, so it would be awkward for him to attend this event.

I don't think distance is the issue, but rather his filming schedule is tight. However, the good news is Soo Hyun is confirmed to attend the event tomorrow! Yipee!!! It's only been about 2 months since he made his last public appearance, but it feels like forever. Can't wait to see how to looks tomorrow, must be very skinny.
Edit: Latest news is Soohyun WILL NOT be attending. Reason is still unknown at this time.

Some people say Soohyun won't be appearing at the Hanhoo event, at least not in person. There are rumors he may be filming REAL in HK for a couple days, but these are merely speculations because a crew member posted something on Instagram from a location in HK. It could just be that the crew member is in HK for personal reasons. In any event, even if Soohyun is filming in HK, lets hope the paparazzi and fans will not interfere with the filming.

Thanks hwonhwon. These rating charts are so confusing. Sometimes they just compare dramas that aired during the same time slot, sometimes with dramas that aired throughout the day. I think that's why there's the disparity between the ratings since some charts show YWCFTS in the number 1 or 2 rank.

I don't know about the company that make those LED roses, but PandaKorea sells them, which happens to be the company where KSH is the second largest shareholder. I don't think fans know that at that time, since he's not the type to disclose such information to the public.
I bought some when I was in Korea last year, they are not cheap, 15,000 won each.

Actually the first time Soohyun went to China after YWCFTS for the recording of the gameshow"The Greatest Brain", they employed 600 security guards to protect him and control the crowd. Now that they are used to him going to China, only 100-300 guards are needed. It's been said that because his appearance at the airport always create such a commotion, airport security ask that he needs to walk swiftly and keep his head down. He needs to get in and out asap.

i did not watch all his shows before Dream High and so no comment on Giant.
if there are by laws legislated because of him the following should be included:
1. Must update his Instagram;
2. Must follow this thread;
3. Must have 2 dramas a year;
4. Must allow easy access to his CF whether or not CF restricted to certain region;
5. In whatever form, must talk to fans occasionally though We believe that there will be no sweet talks or empty promises coming out of Soo Hyun's mouth.
6 The most critical by law: He must not over worked.
To me, his most attractive trait is his personality and character. But that gorgeous face and body are pretty awesome too

I once read an article where someone did a very thorough analysis of Soo Hyun's acting skills, specifically on his role in the Producers. He or she sounds like a film major so it was all very technical and I did not understand most of it. What stood out the most was the mention of Soo Hyun's nuanced facial expressions. It was said that his skills are so astonishing that you rarely see him use the same facial expression. Someone wanted to refute this claim and the author challenged the person to point out the times the same facial expression was used. Out the hundreds of minutes of screen time Soo Hyun had, this person was able to point out 3 instances where the same expression was used, and one of them was in a NG scene! Pretty amazing, huh?
