5 Must-See Performances By 'Train To Busan' Star Gong Yoo
Over the course of almost ten years, Gong Yoo has become my favorite actor because of his versatility and his ability to make it unbearable for me to watch him cry. This summer he starred in the zombie blockbuster Train to Busan (2016) that earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 94%. Though this film gave him worldwide recognition, it's not the first performance that has garnered international attention. Here are five performances that you shouldn't miss if you enjoyed Gong Yoo in Train to Busan.
1. Coffee Prince
In 2007, Coffee Prince took the Korean drama world by storm and was considered a controversial series since it tackled the topic of homosexuality. Gong Yoo plays the character Choi Han-Kyul, a spoiled young son of a wealthy family who's forced to start his own business or face the loss of his family's monetary support. He opens up a coffee shop he calls The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince, where only men can work at. As he struggles to build his company, he befriends a hardworking young man and eventually falls in love with him, only to learn that he is actually a her. It's a great gender-bender romance that has since become a classic for all Korean drama viewers.
This drama earned Gong Yoo an MBC Acting Award and ultimately, the show won Best TV drama at the Korean Producers Awards.
2. The Age of Shadows
Starring Song Kang-Ho and Gong Yoo, The Age of Shadows has officially become South Korea's Oscars entry for next year's awards ceremony. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%, The Age of Shadows is a spy thriller set in the 1920s during South Korea's time under Japanese Imperial Rule. I have not yet seen this film because here in hot-as-hell Arizona, none of the theaters are hosting this brilliant piece of cinema.
3. Silenced
Back in 2011, Gong Yoo took on the heartbreaking role of Kang In-ho, a new teacher at a school for hearing-impaired children high up in the mountains of Gwangju, South Korea. He discovers a dark secret that forever changes his life as he fights hard to protect the children of the school. Once you watch Silenced, you'll be enraged to hear that what happens in the movie actually happened in real life and nothing has been resolved concerning the matter. It's not a film for everyone and I cried and grimaced as I watched it. It truly breaks your heart.
4. The Suspect
For The Suspect, Gong Yoo plays a North Korean field agent on a mission for revenge after his wife and daughter are murdered and the only person who can help him is killed. Yoo performed all of his own stunts for this film without a backup stuntman. The stunts include fight scenes, car chases, rock climbing, and skydiving.
5. Finding Mr. Destiny
Finding Mr. Destiny offers a quirky love story between a woman who is clung to a man who was her first love and a man who is trying to help her find that first love. Gong Yoo plays a failed travel package salesman who scares away all of his customers by selling them reality instead of fantasy. He starts his own agency and decides to help people reconnect with their first love. It's a fun, lighthearted role that offers a different side to Gong Yoo's acting, demonstrating his versatility.

my feelings never disappoint me
because i had the same feeling before GY Movie "Train To Busan" released and it became big hit in Korea and all Asia And i'm sure the reason this drama 'll be successful and popular is the Bromance between GY and LDW ,it'll gather attention especially both of them are big names honestly i don't know if drama trend was live search trend or for hour i only care it was the first one
and today is no.13 of all drama search and that's good especially it didn't start yet while popular drama like " Legend Of Blue Sea" is no.47 and even in movie.naver the number of likes of Goblin is nearly 700 likes while " Legend Of Blue Sea" only 65 likes and that's good ut

Shooting a South Korean mega series in Quebec
Some 70 members of a South Korean production team are in Quebec these days for filming a television series that Asia could reach a potential audience of over one billion viewers.
"You could compare it to a soap opera famous American," says Charles Gaudreau, Producer at sights Images. Quebec production company can not disclose nor the names of the actors nor the title of the series due to a confidentiality clause.
