3I completely agree. These scenes weren't well executed on-screen ( probably because of the lack of time to wrap up everything) and yes,they could have parted ways in a much better way and that would probably fit their characters even more ( my fave is So letting her go once he realised how much the palace was killing her). *sigh* I wish they would keep adapting things instead of just copy and past the cversion ending...

Also, even tho it would so much more in character for WS to let HS go, I still find justifiable his unwillingness of letting her go.
I mean, the man is all by himself on the throne that he finds scared and lonely, he is being pressured to the edge and still need to watch the people he loves the most leaving him one by one... he's probably completely scared at this moment and he does have reasons to. Is it selfish from his part? Yes. But still just how much can one person take before completely break?

TBH, I don't think it's lack of communication. They were doing pretty well on that matter before So become king, It was the weight of the crown that made him hide things from her.. maybe in a attempt of not worry her (or even for fear of her judgements.. which turns out to be a valid reason in the end...), after CR it was just plain pain, they didn't communicate because they were resenting one another... but still... WS tried very hard to fix things and hold onto his feelings for her....

Lol, I have this crazy theory that HS will hang those poems around her room as a way to cope with her longing for WS and when he gets there after she dies and goes to her room to get her belongings, he founds her room full of his poems and he will realize how much she missed and loved him. Gosh, I hope I'm wrong because it will be heartbreak as hell.

IDK how MAMA awards work with their nominations but I sincerely hope SHR wasn't nominated because the show is still airing, if not this will be the biggest injustice of this drama till now... if there's something flawless in SHR is the OST. Literally every single song is good.

The kdrama is becoming extremely similar to the cversion... I'm scared! Either way, suffering is the only thing waiting for us at the end of this drama.

One thing we are forgetting to discuss here:
Gwangjong isn't only affecting HS and the others..... he's also affecting Wang So.
When he is alone with HS or he is out of the palace, he comes back to the Wang So we know and loved. It's the weight of the crown that is turning him ruthless, he doesn't have a choice but act like a king, but Wang So is still there and that's probably why, even as Gwangjong, he looks so helpless and out of sync with himself.. once again he's probably the one who is suffering the most with his actions.

On a lighter note I just KNEW that So was planning to propose to HS and that`s why he called her to the praying tower that day, it wasn`t just to say he loved her (she knew that already) and so suspected HS and that`s why she went there dressed that way... which makes things even sadder now..... they could have married before all this mess happens.....

Srsly, So MANY HORRIBLE things happened to So in these last episodes, but people are still blaming and calling him a horrible person because he consummated his marriage with YH?
I NEVER thought I would be the one to say that, but this is the least of the problems in today's episode since he clearly did out of obligation.
