personally think s2 will be a more difficult script to write than s1! not only to cover interesting lawsuits, but mainly the character development of youngwoo. she is 27 in s1 and will be 29 in s2. how much changes - positive and negative - she has developed in about 2-year time period? what direction does pd Yoo and writer Moon are they heading? no expert in asd, but maybe there are some patients in real life show improvements in their social developmental disorder that they can reference to. sure the consulting professors can help PEB developing her character in every aspect of her life, especially love relationship with junho!
@minglanfan2astory should really stop at s2! not sure if all the entertainment products coming with this IP will do this drama any good and if he can really milk it as much as he would like! to me, how confusing it will be to viewers to have the musical perform and s2 air around the same time? and honestly cant imagine how the actress who plays youngwoo in musical sing in youngwoo's unique voice! what if pd Yoo quit working for astory???
even though pd Yoo humbly said didnt expect such worldwide attention from viewers, sure he knows the quality of his works and he promised PEB that youngwoo would be her lifetime character, which means he knows how good this drama would become. the good thing is viewers already learned that sequels usually dont come out well and they dont have high expectation. but it'll just be a shame for all the actors/actresses when they can take on other projects instead of getting stuck with this project. the drama's title is youngwoo, so PEB has to be in it no matter what unless her contract is only for 1 season. she would do another one for pd Yoo's sake but doubt she would go on like romantic dr. would like to see PEB and KTO work on saeguk where they have more opportunity to showcase their acting and chemistry.

there are probably many lawyers like attny jang who worked up with their "ways" to become a senior lawyer in a firm. jang didnt do much research or preparation for his client; he sneaked off and ditched the rookie lawyers in front of the reporters; and worst didnt know how to present and defend the case at court. think working with this lawyer is a lesson learned for the young hanbada team, esp minwoo. it's a crossroad for him to choose which way to become a senior lawyer. dont feel that he appreciates attny jung more after working with jang. his goal is to survive and excel to become a senior lawyer.
it's a short scene between youngwoo and junho this ep. it's so heart-broken, the tears in their eyes! it's so sad for junho to hear the truth about the loneliness he would face from youngwoo. wonder if it's open ending for their relationship! junho has to think about the loneliness he carries in this relationship. even if junho loves youngwoo and is willing to pursue her, but this loneliness is a major concern in youngwoo's heart. will she change her mind to resume the relationship?
it's ok for suyeon to help minwoo to be a better person but really... doesnt need to be romantically involved. am glad at least there's hesitation on minwoo's part. think he does realize that they have different values and principles. maybe wait til minwoo to be a better person to have any romantic ideas!
my guess tae's son got the order from the firm's IT guy. he even calls ceo bae as hyung so he knows them well. seems like the ceo doesnt respect him well, looks down on him! the IT guy must be very upset at bae to do something like this to damage their partnerhsip, their company.
so in the preview tae's son calls youngwoo noona, he knows he has an older sister???
with tae's son showing up as a hacker, doubt tae could pursue the minister role! so ceo han's scheme might not even happen! truly hope that she has the conscience to drop her plan! like youngwoo's dad says - how can youngwoo keep working at hanbada after the secret birth is revealed? it's not only the birth the mainstream media will focus on, but also her asd, and it's all kind of media!

this toll road case shouldnt last 2 eps; the bickering scenes between suyeon and minwoo, and the noises made up by guerami and hairy are too much! a more decent conversation between attny jung and his ex-wife and hearing youngwoo's dad response at the phone call would be more interesting!
most viewers think that youngwoo should explain to junho about her decision to end the relationship. they should talk about it! but in real life between normal couples, how often do they communicate clearly about their problems? i see some positive change/growth in youngwoo in these 2 eps; she is slowly coming out of her own world. she has noticed jung's longing to have the special noodles and made effort to find the chef. she starts thinking about junho in intangible term - his happiness, his loneliness. she knew her condition causing disadvantage for her client in the earlier ep and now she sees the difficulties junho (her loved one) faces from his family because of her. she truly loves junho so she will not tell him that she couldnt bear to see him dealing with criticism or arguments because of their relationship. this is an absolute challenging relationship. they are in the middle of a serious argument and youngwoo's mind has gone to the case all of a sudden! when his heart is so broken because of youngwoo's unpredictable decision. he'll face this kind of communication breakdown on touchy subjects especially when it comes to the hearts down the road. but i think if youngwoo is growing, they can overcome this kind of communication problem. it'll just takes lots of patience and a big heart! right now, it's to overcome noises from people around them.
in these eps, youngwoo's dad and junho's sister stress the point of finding someone who can bring happiness and can provide for care. if everyone just wants to be the receiver of happiness and to be taken care of in a relationship, then where are the givers of love and care?
glad to see more scenes of junho in ep14! investigation is actually a crucial part of litigation. but the drama seldom focus on him in earlier eps, making him look more like a supporting role and yet a crucial character for youngwoo!

feel that the drama is losing its momentum! is it running out of law cases? only 4 eps left, all of a sudden flooded with stories about attny jung, minwoo, possible loveline between minwoo and suyeon!!! and what the deal with youngwoo's friends going on business trip with hanbada team??? like the drama loses some direction and logics!
youngwoo as expected couldnt overcome those negative thoughts, and will end her love for junho! dont know how it will end! it's sad like junho told his sister that people tend to judge others just based on the first meeting, what we call first impression! sometimes junho needs to treat youngwoo like suyeon treats her, he doesnt have to take such a good care of her all the time!
next ep is about attny jung! what will happen to youngwoo's mom and minwoo?
with the flow of the remaining eps, in my humble opinion, dont see the need for s2. it'll be draggy and might turn into those weekend drama storyline!

dont agree that bgp kidnaps the children in this drama, but he boldly face the trial and doesnt want to get any reduction on the jailtime. the education system in sk and some other asian countries need to have a serious assessment. these kids are probably having depression and carrying it into their adulthood. dont know if this is true about the protests, but hopefully the korean parents and children will make positive changes to their parenting and education methods so that the children can breathe and enjoy a fun and balanced childhood!
@partyonif it took writer Moon about 2 years to work on s1, bet it'll be at least more than a year to work on s2! this is an extraordinary drama about asd, law and societal issues, and marine mammals! the project is so complex and writer Moon is such a detailed writer and pd Yoo is such a creative director so i think they can wait for KTO to return from his enlistment to start filming s2 if there'll be one! at the end of the day, per pd Yoo, it's about coordinating all the actors/actresses and filming schedules.
read somewhere that there'll be a public viewing for the final ep so it must be a happy/encouraging ending! dont think ena can handle rowdy viewers on site!

hmm, wonder if the production team is paving way for s2 through ep12! if there'll be a s2, it'll probably another major complex project dealing with human rights, labor force, environmental issues, etc! kinda worried about youngwoo and junho relationship! will youngwoo enjoy the freedom by herself more than having complicated adjustment by her standard to meet junho's expectation which is normal in a relationship? the poem by attny ryu is very interesting!!! she might be youngwoo's mentor in s2 if youngwoo does become a human rights lawyer. attny jung is sick, have been worried about him since early eps! just hope it's not some terminal illness and he'll still be healed!
am so glad that attny minwoo's evil scheme failed! youngwoo should bring this issue to attny jung and seek some advice! sure jung can figure out this is the work of minwoo!
ep13 is it about meeting junho's family??? the comment from a woman about "meeting a woman who makes you happy instead of a woman who needs your care" stirs up some insecurity feelings in youngwoo about her relationship. hope junho's unwavering love can help her get rid of those negative thoughts!
only 4 eps left and hope this drama will end on a happy note - nobody dies, evil-doers get their "penalty" which minwoo loves! happy ending might not be our kind of happy ending though! if youngwoo finds freedom without being in a relationship then that's a happy ending for her! i'll be very disappointed to see junho getting hurt and probably wont see him in s2! writer Moon, please dont write off junho in this drama series!!! keep their relationship going, junho has yet to meet youngwoo's dad!

oh the kissing scene, it's so sweet and pure!
they are so adorable and cute! really like the filming style here, when people are in love, there's no abled or disabled issue per someone said on twitter! everything is unique to them! am so glad they both work hard and together to enjoy the relationship. the step-forth and step-back between them at the corridor definitely takes a lot of effort, courage, grace and patience to deepen their relationship and to help youngwoo evolving from asd.
this is my hopeful list for the rest of the drama -
- junho can handle the nonsense talks/opinions from people around him, i.e. he wont give in to the pressures and give up on youngwoo!
- they wont let people at work know about their relationship, not even attny minwoo
- minwoo will tell junho what he has suspected about tae and youngwoo mother-and-daughter relationship, so junho can take preventative measures to protect youngwoo.
- ceo han would step in to help and protect youngwoo; cant imagine if these reporters come down on youngwoo about her birth.
- minwoo should just go work for tae. they share the same values in living their lives. attny jung has given him a few chances but he didnt get it or has refused to learn, to make himself a better person!
- power-craving, insecurity and some guilt toward youngwoo has pushed tae to dig a grave for herself. if she had just stay put and not seeing youngwoo's dad, she would not be caught by the reporter. now goes with her judicial ministry position, whatever it is!
- junho and youngwoo dont have to get married this season! it would be interesting to see youngwoo get pursued by guys like bang guppong in s2 when KTO returns from his enlistment!

@minglanfan2guerami is a safety and also a danger zone for youngwoo; she provides too much cushioning and buffer for youngwoo. she does help youngwoo in some ways but also shields her from some my real-life challenges. guerami and suyeon cant just encourage youngwoo to go for junho, they should help her and guide her to understand challenges she would encounter in a relationship, instead of just pressuring junho. junho has to face his feelings and expect unpredictable challenges in a relationship with youngwoo but relationship is 2-way. as long as youngwoo has the desire to love and to be loved, she would have to work hard to overcome her limitation and to make this relationship work even though she has relational disorder. she needs some healthy guidance and support and the best guidance would be from her dad. am kinda disappointed that she doesnt talk to her dad much! have to applause again the good and coherent flow of this drama, youngwoo and junho will get to see how relationship will work in another couple now that they have confessed to each other in the next ep. it's probably an eye-opening lesson for viewers to understand from youngwoo's concerns/perspective to have a relationship!
@Min Mcgonagall yes poor guy! he promised tae years ago that he would stay low and quiet for the rest of his life! wonder if tae is asking him not to bring up about youngwoo's identity as her daughter! but youngwoo already told her that she wanted to meet her once and then moved on! wish youngwoo had told her dad about her conversation with tae then maybe he would be prepared for this visit!

ep9 is using a humorous position - children liberation general - to tell the world how children are living these days, especially children from the middle-class and above. this situation doesnt happen only in asia! parents have to build a resume for their children so they can enter prestigious universities and a successful future by the parents' standard. the children in this ep would never know what fun or games are until they meet the general. these children, whether they like what has been arranged by their parents, have to follow what they are told and to please their parents because they are children. the pressure to achieve academic success is so high and it's one of the reasons for high suicide rates or emotional illness, and might even twist their personality. dont know attny kwon's background, maybe he is from a humbling background and had to work hard to achieve where he is now, but his tendency to see his co-workers as rivals, including suyeon, and the bitter attitude towards other people's success. did he also experience this kind of competitive childhood? through this humorous format it wont offend parents or hurt their feelings and also prompts them to think about their educational method.
as much as i like the loveline between junho and youngwoo, i really prefer to take it slowly. early on, youngwoo told suyeon that it'll be difficult for people to be romantically interested in her because she is very well aware of her autistic disability. and yet she has been confessing to junho a couple of times and wants to do a third time. am surprised youngwoo's friends like guerami and suyeon dont advise youngwoo to hold still and be patient; they should realize the difficulty for someone having a romantic relationship with her. giving junho more time to know about and get used to youngwoo's thoughts and behaviors would be more realistic, in my humble opinion!
one thing i'm very much worried is the attny kwon will work with that reporter to hurt youngwoo after figuring out she is tae's daughter! last ep, it showed a few scenes about the reporter and the kwon together and i was thinking why they had to pay attention to them!

in my humble opinion, there is no need to compare PEB interaction with Rowoon vs her interaction with KTO. KTO doesnt actively interact with her as much as Rowoon. In many vid interviews, he always keeps his hands to himself. he is pretty shy compared to Rowoon and his compliments to PEB are out of courtesy. he complimented her in the wedding dress bts. he did the same to Jeon somin on running man. i am a PEB's fan and she is lovely lady but it doesnt mean that every man would be interested in her. i simply would like to respect the male leads that she works with in her projects and trust that they are having normal social interaction!

ive got a feeling that tae's pregnancy is one of those typical kdrama chaebol scenario. if she really genuinely didnt want her baby, she wouldnt be crying in the rain when youngwoo's dad begged her. when the nanny brought the baby to him, he peeked into the car to see if tae was in it. i was wondering about that too as the windows were completely tinted. they had a sad love story; their background is like day and night - her father is the founder of a top law firm and his parents are farmers!
@nrlleeceo han doesnt have a humbling background. she inherits the law firm from her dad as well. when minwoo started cooking this of neopotism on youngwoo, suyeon told him that he should start off with han, go questioning about her qualification as she inherits the law firm. feel that the rivalry between han and tae is more of a jealousy from han. per the unreleased clip, it looks a romantic interest in the past was one of the reasons of conflicts.
Ha yoonkyeung has got the second ml role.
i actually it's more cool for a woman to act like a protector to protect youngwoo than a guy. so no conflict with junho who supports youngwoo with a calm and quiet composure! i love them both! hope the writer bless suyeon with a loving man who totally falls for her heroic personality! think this will be something i feel lacking if this character doesnt have any love interests because she is spring sunshine!

Thanks for the translation! my guess based on han's outfit that this encounter happened before she met youngwoo's dad in her office. the frustration on her face when talking with youngwoo's dad kind of related to the frustration she had after seeing tae and the client, especially youngwoo's dad exposed her worries that tae's law firm would become #1 as tae is the candidate for the ministry of justice. she might have the intention to use youngwoo to hurt tae but youngwoo's dad probably put a brake on her intention. and, tae now knows that youngwoo is her daughter, wonder if she will still pursue that judicial position.
on a side note, minwoo's online complaint might also stop han's intention! his post has brought on so much unwanted or negative attention on han. if she would use youngwoo to attack tae, everyone would know that she is the one doing it!

this tweet seems to explain the reason why WYW is aired on ena. as i've suspected, the project is funded by kt (kt genie studio) which also runs ena! as most k-viewers are more pleased that the drama is not aired on sbs due to all the advertisements sbs enforces the production to do. remember on one the woman, there were all these ginseng, facial mist they promoted there! it was hilarious and equally annoying!

dont mind the remake as long as they dont use the name of the drama. they can copy or modify the storyline for the sake of intellectual property. remake seldom works, look at the number of jdrama remakes of kdrama or kdrama remakes of tdrama. it kinda ruins the reputation of the original production. the country that does the remake has to incorporate their own culture/style and hence goes the essence of the original drama. the original production is the work of the massive research done by the writer, the filmography of the director, the amazing acting skills of the many actors/actresses and viewers are drawn to the pace, plots, flow, and everything about the original version. the american version of good doctor kinda bothered me at the beg as it made the characters so complicated. there are some healthy normal american in real life! got to tell myself that this drama has nothing to do with the kversion!
would prefer wyw get nominated at emmy's like the squid game! this drama is successful not only because it's a good production but also of its intention to address ads and related challenges and other social issues! pd Yoo and writer Moon should be recognized for their hard work and their contribution to educate viewers around the world about this subject!

really like this attny minwoo the writer put there! as much as i find youngwoo adorable and want to shield her from the ugliness of this world, she has to learn how to deal with people like minwoo. there are always "minwoo" at our workplaces, and have to learn to deal with them. this is a lesson for youngwoo to define the standard as a "good" lawyer - "good" to seek the truth and to be accountable to her conscience, or "good" to defend the interest of her clients and to be accountable to them against her conscience.
it's sad to see youngwoo crying with feelings of shame and guilt; but see that youngwoo is a strong character, the next thing she does is to frame up that letter on the wall to remind herself not to repeat the same mistake. so comforting!
if youngwoo has to learn a painful lesson like this one, think the writer might have a plot to let her find out about her mom! it'll be devastating but her character is not the only in kdrama that got abandoned by her parent. it'll be another growth process for youngwoo to overcome this pain.
love the conversation between youngwoo and suyeon! suyeon doesnt even realize that she has been so kind and nice to youngwoo. she always struggles about being nice to youngwoo and i hope that she can be set free from this struggle and youngwoo can have a more sensible best friend in her life. a different type of friend in addition to guerami!
with the pace and the plots of this drama, wonder if it will still a seasonal series as planned!

i do want to see a loveline developed between junho and youngwoo, but tbh, i've found the feelings from junho developing a bit too weird and fast! it goes from 0 to 10 at this "before and after wedding dress" scene! if attny choi didnt have digestion problem and could stick to the appt, would he have the same feelings for her?
guess the drama wants to show viewers about the difficulties of their relationship so that's why the loveline has started at ep4. people always have expectation from each other in a relationship, including father/daugther! wyw's dad told her that he thought that their relationship was inclusive and they could rely on each other, but the disappointment and loneliness he endured when he felt that it was a one-way relationship. junho is attracted to wyw for now but would he experience the same journey like wyw's dad down the road and end up giving up on youngwoo if she doesnt mature? there are a few scenes showing some disappointed look on junho when he didnt get any reaction from youngwoo. one good thing is at the beautiful sunset scene youngwoo was able to comfortably communicate with junho about her concern as a lawyer with asd. hopefully with the help of guerami and her dad and the patient guidance from junho, youngwoo can overcome her disability and enjoy this romantic relationship! dont want to miss out a wonderful guy like junho!!!
btw, ep4 was stunningly wonderfully filmed - the sunset, the whale wall art in the boardroom! PEB and KTO are just amazing with their acting - youngwoo's unexpected heart-fluttering moment when junho subtly confessed to her; her excitement seeing the whale with junho quietly and happily standing next to her. KTO does an excellent job portraying a man behind his beloved woman!

the ending scene in ep3 is so sad when WYW holds the resignation letter with the whale diving slowly into the deep sea! it's like the whale just wants to go into hiding. it's so heartbreaking to see WYW holding this sadness, hopeless emotion inside her. she has been used to discrimination and this time around she seems to give up, like "i cant do much about this situation"!
read somewhere that the rating for ep3 is 4.03%! Congrats!

yes the main theme of this drama is about WYW's growth to overcome challenges, obstacles in life. wonder if she will face betrayal or backstabbing at work from attorney kwon. the way he reacts whenever WYW solves the case is so different from attny choi. this is a seasonal series like romantic dr, so romance might happen in s2 or s3. hopefully, KTH will be able to commit to this project. prefer to see them developing their relationship over time in a realistic way!

wonder if the seongnam will pass on the crown prince role to his nephew! afterall, they are trying to protect the grand heir in the first place so he can succeed his late father to be the cp. the scene about seongnam's visit, he has pushed up the schedule for his nephew to come back at age 7. think he wants to live a normal life with his wife! just hope they have a happy ending! the couple are too sweet to have a sad ending!
