Korean actress Park Bo-young is featured in the latest issue of Korean fashion magazine Sure.

Park is currently starring in a Korean mystery thriller film, “The Silenced,” which premiered last Thursday.

Sure magazine’s photoshoot with Park is themed around the summer rainy season. Park models a variety of beauty looks, including graphic eyeliner and fuchsia lipstick, in the photos.

Park said she was “not used to” the colorful makeup looks, which also included blue eyeshadow, created by makeup artist Jo Eon.

The actress, 25, formerly won plaudits in the Korean blockbuster films “Speed Scandal” (2008) and “A Werewolf Boy” (2012).

Park will next appear in the lighthearted TV fantasy drama “Oh My Ghost,” which premieres on tvN on July 3.

  3. Park Bo-yeong returns to tvN

    photo605080.jpg

Actress Park Bo-yeong has been confirmed to star in the tvN drama, "Oh My Ghost", for which she will be given the highest appearance fee among the actresses to have starred in the broadcaster's TV series, according to a source affiliated with the channel.

"This is the first time that the 25-year-old will take part in a drama series since "Celebrity"s Sweetheart' in 2008", the source said Saturday. "Park's acting abilities have been affirmed in her other projects, like 'Speedy Scandal' (2008) and 'A Werewolf Boy' (2012), all of which were considered when determining her pay".

The person added that the actress is "receiving so much because she is making her comeback in the drama series after a long hiatus, and also because tvN is not a ground-wave service channel [with limited coverage]".

According to some reports, Park will be paid nearly 30 million won ($27,000) for the upcoming drama.

Many other renowned actresses have appeared in popular dramas on the network. Kang So-ra and Go Ara appeared in tvN's popular dramas, "Misaeng" (2014) and "Reply 1994" (2013), respectively, though neither earned as much as Park.

Audiences can currently see the 25-year-old in the mystery-thriller "The Silenced", which was released Thursday. She is also scheduled to appear in the films, "The Cry of Passion" and "The Mutant". BY JIN MIN-JI

  5. Park Bo Young is reportedly receiving the highest pay for an actress on 'tvN'

    CH75WU6UsAAdRXf.jpg:large

It's a big deal that talented actress Park Bo Young is making her small screen comeback with 'Oh My Ghost' after 7 years of focusing on films. In fact, channel 'tvN' is reportedly paying her the most they've ever paid any actress acting in their dramas!

"Park Bo Young is acting in a drama after seven years. She has received a huge guarantee from tvN's 'Oh My Ghost'. In the history of all the actresses in tvN dramas, she is receiving the highest salary," a drama representative told 'Ilgan Sports' on June 20.

According to the same representative, Park Bo Young receives no less than 30 million won (approx. $27,200 U.S.) for her actor's fee. The reason is because it has been so long since she has appeared in a drama.

Another reason might be that Park Bo Young is one of the most popular young actresses (not from an idol background) in the industry right now. Just to name a few, she's starred in the hit films 'Scandal Makers' and 'A Werewolf Boy'.

That means Park Bo Young will be earning even more than the actresses from past popular 'tvN' dramas including the 'Reply' series and 'Misaeng'. It seems like the channel already believes 'Oh My Ghost' will be a hit!

The drama, about a timid girl who gets taken over by a seductress ghost, will air on July 3!
