Jun Ji Hyun to Play First Dual Role of Her Career in “Assassination”
Actress Jun Ji Hyun will be taking on the first dual role of her acting career with upcoming film “Assassination,” which is quickly becoming one the most anticipated blockbusters of this summer.
In the movie, Jun Ji Hyun will play sniper Ok Yoon, a passionate assassin fighting for Korea’s independence in the 1930s.
Without revealing too much of the plotline, a member of “Assassination’s” production team commented on June 9, “While covertly carrying out her mission, [Ok Yoon] encounters at her target’s home a woman who looks exactly like her. And that woman turns out to be her identical twin.”
Another staff member revealed, “Jun Ji Hyun agonized over taking on the identical twin role, but she was fascinated every time she checked the monitor on set.”
For “Assassination,” Jun Ji Hyun has reunited with director Choi Dong Hoonand actor Lee Jung Jae from “The Thieves” (2012). Ha Jung Woo and Jo Jin Woong are also among the A-list cast.
Meanwhile, the press conference for “Assassination,” which was scheduled for June 10, was recently cancelled due to concerns about the spread of MERS and is expected to be rescheduled for a later date.

Park Shin Hye Is Radiant and Stylish in Outtakes from AGATHA Paris Photo Shoot
Park Shin Hye recently looked as lovely as ever in a spring photo shoot for the jewelry brand AGATHA Paris. The star has been modelling for the chic jewelry designers since last fall, when she became the new face for the brand in Korea.
On June 9, cute new outtakes of the sweet star from the recent shoot were released. The pics show her smiling brightly as she holds up a necklace with Eiffel Towel pendants while wearing a chic and simple little black dress.
Park Shin Hye recently starred in the popular drama “Pinocchio” and the film “The Royal Tailor.” She will soon be returning to the big screen with the film “Beauty Inside” (working title), which is slated to hit theaters in July.

Moon Geun Young, Girl’s Day’s Minah, and More Thrill “1N2D” Cast in Female Friend Episode Preview
The preview for next week’s episode of “1 Night 2 Days” has been released, and it shows the six members introducing the female friends they’ve invited to join them on their next adventure!
For the trip, Kim Jong Min brings his fellow Koyote member Shinji, Kim Joon Ho invites comedienne Kim Sook, and Kim Joo Hyuk takes along actress Moon Geun Young.

Song Joong Ki And Jo In Sung Are Surprise Guests On 'Running Man'
On June 7, SBS' "Running Man" revealed that Jo In Sung and Song Joong Ki were special guests for an upcoming episode. The actors and real-life friends were recently spotted by Korean netizens, as they boarded a flight from Incheon International Airport, with Lee Kwang Soo.
Jo and Song will appear alongside Im Joo Hwan for the June 14 episode, which will also other special appearances. Celebrity couple Son Joon Ho and Kim So Hyun will be joined by Byul, who is married to "Running Man" fixed cast member, Haha.
This will mark the third special for Song Joong Ki, who was a regular cast member on the popular variety show from episode one through 41.
The Hallyu actor was recently returned from mandatory military service.The 29-year-old star departed from Korean entertainment on a high note, with his first leading role in the 2012 series, "The Innocent Man" and the breakout box-office hit, "A Werewolf Boy." Song will make his K-Drama comeback in the series, "Descendants of the Sun," opposite Song Hye Kyo. He portrays the leader of a peacekeeping unit, who falls in love with an army surgeon.
Jo In Sung most recently appeared in the hit psychological series, "It's Okay, That's Love," opposite Gong Hyo Jin.
Their special appearances follow the June 7 episode which featured the members of Big Bang. Big Bang is currently promoting their comeback album "MADE," which is being released each month through singles. On June 1, the K-pop quintet released "A," which featured the hit tracks "Bang Bang Bang" and "We Like 2 Party."
"Running Man" airs on Sundays as part of SBS' Good Sunday lineup.

After the June 7 episode of SBS‘s “Running Man,” a preview of next week’s episode aired.
Next week, Haha‘s wife Byul and the real-life married couple Kim So Hyunand Son Joon Ho will appear as guests. Byul is enthusiastic as she tackles the mission, swearing to take revenge for Haha over the years.
With that, Song Joong Ki, Jo In Sung, and Im Joo Hwan also make a surprise appearance on “Running Man.” It seems that they made a visit to the set to cheer on their good friend Lee Kwang Soo.

Jun Ji Hyun Is A Killer In Her New Film
Jun Ji Hyun’s last role as Hallyu star Chun Song Yi in “You Who Came From The Stars” was often comical. Her new role is dead serious. In her soon-to-be-released film “Assassination” she plays sniper Ahn Ok Yoon.
Ahn Ok Yoon is the leader of an assassin group fighting for Korean independence. The film's story is set Seoul, Manchuria and Shanghai during the 1930s when Japan ruled Korea. At that time many Korean resistance fighters were stationed in China so they could operate without interference from Japanese authorities. But that did not always mean they were safe. When orders come down to assassinate a prominent Japanese army commander, those in charge decide that Ahn Ok Yun is the right assassin for the job. There was only one problem. Ahn was locked inside a Shanghai prison where she was sentenced to die. To ensure that she can carry out her assignment, they must first break her out of jail.
Getting out of prison does not mean that Ahn Ok Yoon is safe. She does not know that one of her comrades is an undercover agent for the Japanese. Ha Jung Woo plays the gun for hire and undercover agent known as Hawaii Pistol. He has orders to kill Ahn Ok Yun.
Ahn takes her orders from Yeom Suk Jin, played by Lee Jung Jae, an agent for the Korean interim government. Choi Jin Woong plays Ahn’s right-hand man and firearms specialist Soksapo. Oh Dal Su will play another resistance fighter on her team.
If the success of the film’s trailer is any indication, the film should sell a lot of tickets. When the visually stunning trailer was first released, it received over 500,000 views on Naver in a single day.
The film reunites Jun Ji Hyun with two previous co-stars and a director she enjoyed working with. It offered her another chance to act with Lee Jung Jae, who appeared in her previous film “The Thieves. And it provided a reunion with Ha Jung Woo, whom she co-starred with in “Berlin File.” Choi Dong Hoon, who directed “The Thieves” and “Tazza” The High Rollers,” is also the director for “Assassination,” which has a release date in July.

Park Shin Hye Is A Gorgeous Bride For Lotte Duty Free
Park Shin Hye is beautiful in photos for Lotte Duty Free. The 25-year-old actress is pictured in bridalwear for the special event catalog.
Her bridal pictorial follows her recent appearance on the reality show, "Some Men, Some Women." During her segment, Park discussed her thoughts on marriage and the facts that prevented her from tying the knot when she was 23-years-old. She expressed her desire to be married before she reaches 30.
In addition to appearing in the bridal pictorial, Park will be featured in an upcoming short film, for the department store.
According to an article published by Halla Ilbo, the actress will appear in short, along with Super Junior's Eunhyuk, Leeteuk and Donghae. The campaign, "Start Traveling," will focus on places throughout Jeju Island. The footage was shot on Jeju and will highlight the beauty of the island. Outdoor sports will also be highlighted in the film, particularly paragliding, horseback riding, and yachting.
Park has appeared in short endorsement films for the brand, in the past.
In addition to Park Shin Hye, the 2015 celebrity lineup for Lotte Duty Free includes Lee Min Ho, Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Seung Won, EXO, 2PM, Super Junior, Park Hae Jin, Choi Ji Woo and Eru. The latest spokesmodels were selected for their impact on the Hallyu Wave and ability to appeal to audiences outside of Korea.
The short film starring Park and the members of Super Junior will be available for international viewers through YouTube and Youku Tudou.
In an attempt to reach new markets, Lotte Duty Free has recently launched an English-language website. The company is also making excellent use of its spokesmodels.

Park Bo-young talks about upcoming mystery film 'The Silenced'
Korean actress Park Bo-young talked about her upcoming mystery drama film “The Silenced” with a fashion magazine in Korea.
Park plays a student in an isolated girls’ boarding school, where its students begin to show strange symptoms and disappear one by one. Park’s character Ju-ran’s worries are dismissed by the boarding school teachers, but she too begins to show some of the strange symptoms.
“The role was challenging for me,” said Park. “Ju-ran’s not the kind of character to settle with (given facts). She’s very introverted but also increasingly curious and eventually uncovers a secret.”
Park said that timing her character transitions in her relationships with friends and the school principal, as she unearths more of the mystery, was challenging.
“I also had to express small changes through her voice and small habits. I had to rely a lot on my imagination,” said Park.
Park’s character is based on the main character of the 1976 cult thriller “Carrie,” also set in a school setting.
Park is known for her previous lead roles in the blockbuster films “Speed Scandal” (2008) and particularly “A Werewolf Boy” (2012).
She said that up until the release of the hit 2012 fantasy romance “A Werewolf Boy” she suffered from nightmares of being attacked by an assailant, caused in part by career pressures.
“I was too scared to sleep. I even had to go to the hospital for treatment,” said Park. “The doctor said very frankly, ‘Since it’s just a dream, you should just get caught and die.’ I wondered what kind of advice that was, but when I made my mind up, I somehow never had those dreams again.”
Park also said that adjusting to her acting career has also helped her find a better work-life balance.
“Actors do their job in front of the camera. When (filming) ends, I just return to my life,” said the 25-year-old actress.
Park also took part in a photoshoot, inspired by the 1930s boarding school uniform she wears in the film.
The mystery film “The Silenced” hits theaters on June 18.

Actors and close friends Jo In Sung, Lee Kwang Soo, and Song Joong Kihave left to go on a vacation together!
According to various accounts that have been circulating online on June 3, netizens shared that Jo In Sung, Lee Kwang Soo, and Song Joong Ki were all seen together at Incheon International Airport.

According to the Korean media outlet TV Report netizens spotted actors Jo In Sung, Lee Kwang Soo and Song Joong Ki together at Incheon International Airport.
When asked about the actors' travel plans, their agencies would not release any information, but they did say the travel was not work-related. The actors are on a personal break together.
It's not surprising that the actors would chose to vacation together as they have been close for a long time. And Song Joong Ki recently stated his intention to take a short vacation before returning to Dramaland. Who better to vacation with than your best friends?
Song Joong Ki was discharged from his two-year mandatory military duty in May and said that he planned to take a week off before starting his next drama "Descendents of the Sun" with co-star Song Hye Kyo. He already participated in some script readings for that drama.
Song Joong Ki will already have met Song Hye Kyo since he visited the set of the 2013 drama "That Winter The Wind Blows" when Jo In Sung was her co-star.
Jo In Sung and Song Joong Ki have known each other for seven years. They co-starred in the film "A Frozen Flower" with Joo Jin Mo and Song Ji Hyo. Jo In Sung and Lee Kwang Soo met when they filmed a commercial together. They recently appeared together in the drama "It's Okay, That's Love."
Song Joong Ki and Lee Kwang Soo became friends when they both appeared on the variety show "Runing Man." And they also acted together in the KBS drama "Nice Guy."
These actors are always there for each other, whether it's good times or bad times.
Jo In Sung and Song Joong Ki were all smiles at the March wedding of Lee Kwang Soo's non-celebrity sister. Song Joong Ki even took a day off from his military duty to attend.
When the father of Jo In Sung's manager died unexpectedly, Song Joong Ki attended the memorial service.
