I think he knows a little of Japanese and Chinese, and he seems to have a good level in listening and reading English. Not that fluent to any of these. He used to pick the translators to fully understand the conversations relating to works. Mr. SuSu is his close translator bro for Japanese and Chinese. And I noticed a brawny Asian (looks like Korean) in group photos with RE6 cast on IG. He may be his translator. Other than the work, our Joongi seems to understand the casual talks in interacting them. He really has tactics to get along well with foreigners, even without much fluency in languages

They might mean doing a drama plus movie per year or 2 drama plus a movie in 2 years. Of course, I want him returning to the land of Chaungmuro too as my recent mention.. but he is the one who reads and finds the scripts, character types or synopsis he wanna do in which we aren't.. He still doesn't do as he thinks they are not right to do. So I don't get a reason like them to upset him at all.. In my opinion, his long hiatus on domestic films may be just waiting for another golden time by grabbing another critically acclaimed film plus character to step up his game. Rather than doing mediocre movies often which can damage his status.
And it seems we don't have to wait that long in seeing his special comeback

@minmar Talking about haters, actually not only haters look down to him, also many of such so-called fans are out there. They are bragging everywhere they worry for him and his career.. although in fact, they see him as a thing to mock. There were some of those labeling him lazy for doing only a work per year. It's probably due to his carefulness not to make bad moves or excess exposure to public.
When he thinks the projects seem alright to do, he does them without break like these days, isn't it? Due to his kind-hearted attitude, many ppl just unintentionally or purposedly take advantage of it. If he wasn't a wise mature man, he could have been drowned under their useless criticisms long long ago. His agency Namoo may also have had enough nagativity. That's why their warning about lawsuit came out. Leaving the haters, I'm clueless about such netizens I mentioned above aka so-called fans either.. maybe they are just pessimistic ppl who are believing they know him more than himself, phew. I have been seeing this at times such ones leaving fandom, and if it's not immediately, I believe they will sooner or later.
Yes, I feel the same to his wide efficiencies <3 I wish so he'd be treasured by his home ppl. Me too, I'm not a KD fan. I became his fan because of him and his works. The closer I get to see him, the more his impresiveness in a lot of things I awe at ^^ Hmmm about kissing skill, I doubt it's due to lack of experience since he is a good actor expert in imitating/ learning poses and interpreting characters. I personally think his earlier on-screen kiss in My Girl with the foreign girl was quite natural like other actors, kk. Maybe after becoming the leading actor, he seems to be afraid of the filming staff might see him as a pervert if he passionately kisses his co-stars. Just my opinion though

@minmar His photo-teases from RE filming set showed of him seemingly wore 2 different outfits. So his screentime wouldn't be too short I think, hehe. And I fully agree your points of view. It's a waste many big ones in the industry were blinding at him. However, he never gives up, always seeking out opportunities to reach his goals. He has huge goals, we know it and love that.
@cedarwood Actually there were some unofficial low quality cuts from the RE6 trailers on youtube and Chinese video webs. I'm not sure who got and spread them if those are from the upcoming official trailers. His appearance can't lie to my eyes despite being too hazy in the spoilers. He did is put in the trailers <3 Yep, it's disappointing of their common intentions in casting roles for most Asians. I think he has that notable face and charm, also to Western PDs. He'll definitely become easier to find works in Hollywood after the release of RE6. But I hope he isn't one of them, as martial artists, for a long time if he decides to venture there more in the future.
And.. how adorable he is to not hesitant in expressing his dream of winning Oscar to fans^^ He used to mention it either calmly or playfully since his military discharge. The most recent time was at his 2016 Joongi's day fanmeet. I don't see him delusional at all as we know him working butt hard. One can dream anything for his genuine hardworks. He is not a lucky person to hit jackpots consecutively like some actors. He doesn't have those agency backups. He is absolutely confident and independent with his talents, also tries to sharpen them. His remarkable acheivements are only the results of his strong determination, and these facts make me respect him in a very unique way.
Re, the film spin-off of SHR. He might have known it!! He did said on v-app that he might be doing another work during the SHR broadcast. He has plans.. to kill 4 birds with a stone?! Lol. It may be why he also told us in the latest v-app live (about 27:00) that although he's not on, when he does, he will be everywhere... Whoah, we are really going to see him everywhere from now on... Among the options @minmar said, this spin-off will likely to be about the emperor Gwangjong, in more politics and character-focus with less loveline. That means he's going to have a grand return to the big-screen with a high quality movie! I'm so glad to notice he has many hidden cards lately ❤❤

Scarlet Heart: Ryeo~~ Waiting for this drama is torturing me... How can Joongi's charisma be still glittering while covering his one eye! So smexy man! And, I'm satisfied of all actors seemingly fit to the roles. For chemistry session.. I'm in for SoSoo (WangSo & HaeSoo)... I'm not used to share many ships sailing for a drama yet, haha. Pleased to see though there's already a few members who love our lead couple.
To those in worry of SHR being a typical k-drama focusing much on romance, it's quite not a necessary thing. Joongi likes to choose ones which are more on plots, of course with the reasonable romance.
Many viewers here are now on Kang Haneul boat and thinking of 8th prince more like the male lead, by the trailer for Chinese market. On the romance part, I think the K-version 4th prince's love to Haesoo won't be depicted lesser than of 8th prince. They may give us different aspects; tenderness with 8th and cute bickering or seductive moments with 4th. After WangSo has shed of his cold side from Haesoo, there will possibly be more fluttering moments between them

I watched C-version for the reference on the upcoming plot and 4th prince's character for my Joongi. Despite that, I guessed the drama could be adapted from an almost opposite direction since he has confirmed the role. And,,, Shine or go crazy won't help on the idea of SHR. I've watched the first few eps in case for that reason but 3rd and 4th princes were on the same side. In SHR, from trailer, the mother queen abondoned her younger son for some reasons (maybe relating to her power), and is backing the 3rd prince to become the goryeo king. So they are rivals from the start.
Futhermore, the addition of main antagonists against the 4th prince, his right-hand man and his wife characters advancing to more major roles, unlike C-version, made me suspect that the primary storyline likely to be surrounded around the 4th prince. About IU, I knew she can act naturally but the preview convinced me that she is also capable of emoting well.. I'm looking forward to her and Joongi harmonizing their acting to shine together! The released preview may be just the beginning of teasing us though. The pd team might leave some meatier plot and cinematography for their domestic promotions. Just from the youku's promo, I sense the K-version's power struggle is going to be intriguing. Also by Joongi's chameleonic performances, he would bring us epicness to his ruthless side, esp. in later half of drama! ❤
Last but not least, is the ending. It's a really important factor whether it could linger the viewers' hearts or not. Because it's a pre-production, the pd team won't probably take risk with a depressing finale. Hope the writer had found a logical yet satisfying ending. I need to get my leads looking fresh, being sweet with heart-eyes to each other, in cool modern attires ^^

Agree that Never Said Goodbye is a promising movie. It has light-hearted flashbacks, intense love story, beautiful directing, excellent acting and all! I'm afraid of waiting longer for its release to international viewers
Wow,,, there's about a month before the trailers of Resident Evil 6~~~ Yikes! Sure we'd only get a glimpse or two of him in the trailers, but my excitement to watch him on big-screen for the first time is.. explosive!!
Seems some of you were not satisfied of it being a zombie movie. It's generally known as it is but actually not a plain zombie-killing genre. It's more of a science-fiction action type including the mutants and zombies ^^ Better the info about him planning on the way to L.A for movie premiere is true. He will be interviewed by the Western media then, right? That's quite pleasing! I wish this last sequel to be received well.. for his fine exposure in the new environment.
Also, Wang So.. our Wolf dog, later the badas* king!! I'm glad Scarlet Heart: Ryeo is seemingly adapted from a different direction. After seeing his recent awesome activities on his career, I'm eager of his brilliance again at box office with the acclaimed domestic films. Hopefully, everything goes well timely for his greater challenges

@Merry thank you for the link. As I new fan, there's a lot of things I didn't know. But one thing I know for sure is I am worried, no update in any social media acct. I miss his craziness and silliness. I'm thinking he is in vacation rather than thinking of anything. I feel annoy to the mean comments, wish them to stop. Having 3 rumors with the same girl is unhealthy, you will think for twice or thrice until you will have doubt.
Never imagined myself to care more in an actor. He is the one and only actor I know beyond dramas. I wish this rumor gone easily like a bubbles. This guy needs privacy.
@proudme You're welcome.. I feel the same so and sorry to see those comments bashing him as a liar. Whether JHB might be his gf or not, he has the right to hide his private life if he wants to. The way some sensitive fans asking for his personal answer is harsh.
In my case, the denial of JHB as his gf is just my problem. It became worse as I've quite known of his personality through over 6 years as a fan. Moreover, I don't think he didn't date anyone during these years as an actor and we can peek how he cautiously hid his relationships. That's why the kinds of careless behaviours (such as doing skinship at the fitness center, stroking her face in a see-through car on the side road) he did that were mentioned in the rumours sound unconvincing, makes me wonder and doubt on this consecutive media play.
Meanwhile, I respect his privacy so I don't disturb him on his SNS accounts. These rumours being the false info are also my wishful thinking only.. I do expect as you for this incidence to be gone easily like bubbles. A girl can hope since there's no confirmation, right? ^^
I think he is strong enough to endure the attacks though. He's been experienced it once in the King and the Clown & Fly Daddy era. Many fans left him then but he regains more due to his sincerity in his career.
On the other hand, his quietness may be also because of his schedules. Didn't he tell us on IG he has an almost deciding project near the end of SWWTN? There will be promotional events for his Chinese movie in this November too.. Haha, I'm anticipated for both!

Regarding to the same rumour for the third time, I'm not sure it's possible like my doubt but it's somehow turning out to me as if one or two parties are fabricating it. Let me share my POVs here..
For their first time rumour, I got it like namoo creating a buzz for Joongi in SWWTN. And the next times were for her in the new variety show racer.
Another possible option is that the sources of rumours are either from namoo or sidusHQ since we all know the comments of IG posts by Joongi and Yoobi these days are flooding with fans asking them to be a couple in real life. Maybe their agencies want to stop them.
However, the parties involved in spreading rumours are more likely by namoo and JHB. No offense to her fans. But it became doubtful to me like that because.. Do you guys notice it was JHB who wore that necklace after the SNS updates of Joongi just before her public event? That is also the one he owned long before, and it's just an item from a well-known brand. Not a special made one so it could be bought in time I mean.
According to the soompi article yesterday, the third time is again from her side. Because the car mentioned in the news is hers. It was confirmed by her fans and from her IG posts. As @patoi and @aseman mentioned, there aren't any photos as evidences also.

We know Joongi wants to be a dignified actor so he is way too cautious in order to avoid critisms from the public and media. From the above interview, I think he hasn't changed his desire of dating in private.
Even if he dates publicly like he said in Guerilla date, he doesn't seem to be a celebrity ruining his good image that he has maintained for this long-time by doing skinship to his gf and being seen by the passer-bys (in which JHB's car has see-through glasses and his car too that can be seen in a recent IG post during SWWTN). So, these rumours with none suspicious photos pisses me off after this third round.
Can't deny some fans are currently supporting him and JHB thinking she is good-hearted doing the charity works, she looking smart as she seems to be sociable, etc. Yeb, these charity works are not easy tasks but we actually can't judge one's inner side based on this factor alone. That's what I see you @theone4me and @KayL in terms of the vibes you are considering about JHB.
I shouldn't think that much but sorry.. I liked her as a good actress in GIJ yet I still can't consider her as his life-partner. I don't have exact reasons of my denial and it's also not because I ship him with somebody else. For me, I wish the rumours between them wouldn't be resurfaced again from now on, and really hope I could be glad and give them blessings when he has announced his someone.

I saw it first time from his weibo update in Dec 2013. Due to his sns updates, he wore it during his family trip in early 2014, then rewear it in late 2014. And recently again in 2015.
This following one is another necklace of the same brand that I noticed he seems to love. The last time I remember is him wearing on the SWWTN script reading day.
Not only these accessories, he even doesn't afraid of wearing some clothes many times, lol. He doesn't try hard to look cool off-screen in front of his fans. Just love him for this and that kind of his genuine nature to us <3

That brand is known to be loved by many k-celebs. Both have denied it as well.. and it's 2nd time denial to the rumours so it can also be a coincidence.

His action scenes only enhenced the plot, his acting and of other cast. Ones who have watched it would know it well..
You also criticised of his drinking related to his projects. Some members may thought you were joking but might get it now after reading posts after posts of yours. Haha.. take it easy, he's just making fun of it. As far as I know, he had drinking sessions during the considering states only in 2Weeks and the recent one, Under the Sicily Sun. Others were held after accepting.
However, was 2W turned out as a bad drama due to this reason? Nope, it was critically acclaimed domestically and well loved by many foreign recappers.
Relating to SWWTN, it's not @lyn_lyn's fault to irritate your posts. You should remember first before the comparison that this drama is based on webtoon and its characters, and has nothing to do with SKKS and its characters or their acting. Obviously, you compared SKKS to SWWTN in purpose, to bring up its actor's name and your opinion of his acting.
And, the awards. We, most hallyu fans, know how the results of award ceremonies are based on. With that said, why did it become your reason to praise the SKKS actor..? Huh? It's doubtful he'd win any acting award for TGWSS this year due to the rating. (P.s. not for him only, just to point out the usual nature of drama awards.)

Can't rookie actors be given a chance alongside the talented lead actors? Knowing Joongi's personality as a fan, he isn't a lead actor discriminating to junior actors or supporting or idols. His focus is just to get the cast members fit to their roles, and to discuss some details he wants for his characters with the pd team.
If he is an actor inflenced by the pd team or the big agencies of other actors, he would have praised that actor in blossom on the press conference day. That was quite the cases for idol-turned-actors from capable agencies in which the cast of 3 days, KSW in Queen of ambition and medical top team, JIW in night watchman, etc., complimented much to them at press conferences.
Did Joongi have such actions during the event as mentioned above? I mean him to Changmin.. Of course, not. It proves that Lee Joongi is the independent himself as same as before.
He has his freedom. He tries as best as he can to have a close friendship with every pd-nim he encounters, to fulfil his imaginations for a project. That's his another skill which makes his fans feel impressed of him. In this drama too that he opened about it in ELLE magazine interview, he was the one to contact the pd team to assure of being courted before their official casting stages began. What an awesome challenger!
About Joongi' acting, it's not essential to speak to you. Because it's just your opinion after all.

Actually, I'm not a lead stalker though. I got them easily from one of my friends who is a 2ne1 fan, lol. The latest day they had similar SNS was on 24th June (which was after the denied rumours) I think, where they were greeting good night. Check it out.. I don't know they could be a real couple someday publicly. However, time will give us the answer! I didn't know there are other JG fans aside from me who are stalking them. Glad to know it, hehe

Ok, just noticed our JG stopped following Dara (2NE1). Maybe too many shippings and accusation so he did? Or could it be the opposite? Protecting? LMAO. I dont know. Just had to throw it out there. Who else stalks his instragram followings? >_< so guilty.I think it could be a minor mistake where you press the button when you are on their page. I mean, he is still following her on twitter.
Me! But he's still following her make-up artist. Joongi's make-up artist, Dara's one and Joongi are following one another on IG, right?
He and Dara did have similar SNS updates usually posted within an hour till the end of last month, also after the denied rumours with JHB. Those are just blind guesses but still make them quite suspicious.
I'm not sure about the reason behind this incident on IG though...
Honestly, I hoped his gf to be Dara rather than JHB when the rumours were spread. I just love JHB as an actress and for Joongi as a friend, nothing more.
She seems to try a lot to be s*xy, either by working out or by aesthetic transplants, in real life. So, it's hard for me to accept her as Joongi's partner if the rumor were true. Maybe I'm childish,, I can't imagine them together yet.
After all, it's his private life that whoever his gf is. Just hope he could find the right one.. and best wishes for his happiness.

Can't rookie actors be given a chance alongside the talented lead actors? Knowing Joongi's personality as a fan, he isn't a lead actor discriminating to junior actors or supporting or idols. His focus is just to get the cast members fit to their roles, and to discuss some details he wants for his characters with the pd team.
If he is an actor influenced by the pd team or the big agencies of other actors, he would have praised that actor in blossom on the press conference day. That was quite the cases for idol-turned-actors from capable agencies in which the cast of 3 days, KSW in Queen of ambition and medical top team, JIW in night watchman, etc., complimented much to them at press conferences.
Did Joongi have such actions during the event as mentioned above? I mean him to Changmin.. Of course, not. It proves that Lee Joongi is the independent himself as same as before.
He has his freedom. He tries as best as he can to have a close friendship with every pd-nim he encounters, to fulfil his imaginations for a project. That's his another skill which makes his fans feel impressed of him. In this drama too that he opened about it in ELLE magazine interview, he was the one to contact the pd team to assure of being courted before their official casting stages began. What an awesome challenger!
About Joongi's acting, it's not essential to speak to you. Because it's just your opinion after all.
Somehow, I wonder why you're too determined to disturb the atmosphere of a pleasant thread. How fun you'd been if hanging out on your bias' thread, instead of wasting your life, registering a new account to write such posts seriously to a celebrity you dislike.. What a nice atmosphere to see Joongi in a happy character (this may be a flashback though. Whatever, I will always love him playing a guy in 20s while he has this youthful face) :xBe the script excellent please, their chemistry will sure sparks more~^^
Our Joongi is getting lucky since the year-end. He, who loves to shoot kiss scenes, has already done it on the first day of movie-shooting. Good for him, he seems energized and in a very good mood, loool..

Joon-Gi often talks of his desire to reach the top of his profession. I think winning this prize and in such great company was absolutely awesome! Lee Joon-ki won the Excellence Award for Actor in mid-length dramas.
2014 KBS Drama Awards took place in KBS Hall at 8:30 PM on December 31st , hosted by Kim Sang-kyeong, Park Min-yeong and Seo In-guk.
Lee Joon-ki received the Excellence Award for Actor for his role in KBS2 'The Joseon Shooter' in mid-length dramas.

Thank you! I'm nervous upon receiving this award, but first of all, I'd like to thank my cast & crew (he goes on to list everyone..). Thank you all! You guys worked so hard! I was ambitious in doing my own action scenes and gave up nights of sleep but I am truly thankful to the staff [for making it possible]. And I'd like to thank my parents and family. I am going to become better in the future and even though my dramas are not as popular internationally [with others being more popular/famous], my goal is to make Korean dramas more popular. Wow,,, there's about a month before the trailers of Resident Evil 6~~~ Yikes! Sure we'd only get a glimpse or two of him in the trailers, but my excitement to watch him on big-screen for the first time is.. explosive!!
I saw it first time from his weibo update in Dec 2013. Due to his sns updates, he wore it during his family trip in early 2014, then rewear it in late 2014. And recently again in 2015.
Actually, I'm not a lead stalker though. I got them easily from one of my friends who is a 2ne1 fan, lol. The latest day they had similar SNS was on 24th June (which was after the denied rumours) I think, where they were greeting good night. Check it out..

Oh, friend @minmar, don't take me misunderstanding you.. I know those are his words. I get and agree all your points. My reply wasn't an arguement. It's that I also don't accept his words (for his real-life). He did said in Healing camp he's lack of romance, he doesn't hv a gf to pratice it mouth-to-mouth, and so on. As I don't believe him, I made fun of him
