I think it's good we did a timejump of 1 year after Kim Hun and his clan was taken down... Because not only were we able to see Lee Yeong becoming king - despite many people not liking the king I think it's sad that apparently he didn't live much longer after finally being free from the influence of Kim Hun - but we also see a completely different Ra On.

As in she is so feminine and openly flirty with Lee Yeong. In the bookshop before she leaves it and he chases after her, she brushes past him in a very intuitively feminine move. Close enough to touch him but not in a vulgar way. While Ra On before was still very confused when she dressed as a woman and was mostly shy but now she is more aware of the power she has over Lee Yeong - not in a manipulative way but in a way it shows she is now who she always wanted to be. A woman who lives freely, writing, being in love with the love of her life, Her action also speaks of the intimacy she and Lee Yeong had before and only deepened throughout the year. 

That's a very good take on that scene. I'd never thought of it that way.  In true moonlighter spirit, I went back and rewatched and now it made so much more sense....so I guess in a small itty bitty way my fantasy scene (of seeing them more comfortable together came true! ) Now, I love that scene of him calling her Raon-ah and running after her and her flirtatious walk past him (to hit him but not quite,....)...sigh thanks for sharing this with us....sigh...LOVE...

The irony of this whole thing is...I am actually really really relieved we didn't get any picture of them together because that would have basically meant that they were really just friends. The facts that they went to such extraordinary lengths NOT to appear in the same photo together (after being so close during filming...).....well Chingus its a fact they have definitely been warned......

Btw, looking @ the interview time slots, they have one day where they coincide, KBS please please do ONE joint interview....even with the whole cast present also can.  You can do the YeongOn couple angle. We will believe

In the Reply 1988 SunTaek Thread---because of the shipping wars, it was rather impossible to do it in the Main Thread---they would schedule a rewatch of each of the episodes, post an announcement in the thread regarding the date and time that would suit most time zones and invite everyone to join. I found the idea really cool. We enjoyed it so much and the thread became alive because of  it.

I think for idols there can be a strict dating policy. But probably a lot know that the girls from Girls Generation date but if I remember it correctly their agency SM Entertainment had a strict dating policy as well but kinda changed it. Again I only know basics about it.

But I have a opinion on it. I think celebrities should be allowed to date. Fans who think their "oppas" need to wait for them or shouldn't date to stay "pure" need to get a life.

Why the fear? I guess the age gap could be one matter. Image is another matter.

There is also another picture floating around. One chingu in the main thread actually did a zoom shot of the far off kiss and showed us. It was so passionate  and another thing., I was looking through that last scene earlier, did anyone notice that KYJ's hand is actually on Bogummy's waist  Wow, that is so sweeet! bearing in mind how was most k-actresses keep their hands rigidly by their sides.!

I can't help it. I am shipping them so much too much skinship otherwise. If I find out a few years down the road they are getting married, I swear all I need to remind myself is to come here and take one look at that picture, and I can remember the magic all over again

1. Moonlight Drawn By Clouds Opening Theme - dunno why....I just liked it. Found it adorable! Off-topic: But can I say that Lee Young's walk when he was king into the throne room while the music played. It just reminded me of the walk from DOTS. Not quite that iconic. ((okay I found it THAT iconic and kept replaying it butttt......) But I just adored his expression. Sigh seriously I am really in awe of PBG's micro expression during MDBC. The boy nailed it in this drama and really made this character come alive.
2. My Person - Park Bogum (I know people say he doesn't sound polished.....BUT I thought it was fine...the emotions in it....I remember replaying it constantly last week. And everytime I heard the lyrics, I knew LY's pain...and I think it was the essence of LY. No stupid mis-understanding broke the couple...even apart, you knew they understood the realities of their situation (Sorry, I hated this about the last drama I loved so much JOJLIL.....Never understood why all the characters had an intelligence mid-drama meltdown....either make the characters morons from the start or don't go down this route....sheesh!) Okay on topic again, Yeap Loved this song! 
3. Because I Miss You -  Beige (the dance and all the in betweens. Everytime it came on...I took notice. beautiful OST)

Hello everyone, I am back after a loong two days away (though I have been lurking in between classes and have finally caught up to the present.?? Wow, what happened in the 2 days I've been away? I recall all seemed pleasant then? What happened?1? Invasion of the thread by non-relevant comments and dominating characters?!? T_T  Me no likey, had that problem in another soompi thread I was in 2 years ago....they spammed us so much we had to retreat to the shippers thread just to continue reviews on the dream until the mods clamped down on it.

Sigh, people....can't we get along. Stop talking about people sexual orientation, honestly I am uncomfortable talking about it even in his own thread......privacy people privacy...and what's this blowing up about the hands thing? Hellloooo people please come to any Asian countries....it happens especially within the same gender.  I hold hands with my female friends on occasions and its nothing to do with comfort or anything. Sometimes, its just casual convo while walking and sometimes in crowds......its just FRIENDSHIP. Sheesh! Holding hands is NOT a crime....sigh I don't understand why people keep comparing to western culture and implying its weird. Different culture...it's not "weird", it just "IS". Be open minded. Honestly if people are, you would have just asked what it was to understand that this was something there, you would have been fascinated and dropped the convo. But some people just can't resist going on about it.....

Point #2.: PBG's manliness. I am guessing that this must have been linked to the above topic and got pretty heated otherwise the mods and some of the Moonlighters would not have been pissed off because we were fan girl-ing CP and PBG but you must have taken it to new extremes T_T Again refer above comments, and move along!

Point #3: Can we please stop having people defend their biases in this thread? Especially if those actors are not even in this drama. Honestly, this drama is about MDBC, it's normal that people will ship the OTP in real life and the drama. Yes, we have a shipper's thread which is something that we are taking full advantage of. But  on occassions I can understand people slipping up here and there in the main moonlight thread. It's NORMAL. People usually ship the OTPs....sheesh. You don't have to be some defenders of light and come bringing up some blah blah facts to say that this actor is close to this other person at X time last time yada yada.....AGAIN what is the point of this other than annoying others T_T. JUST MOVE ALONG.....this thread does not HAVE to be a battle ground.

Most of my thoughts are still on their courtship phase and when CP is newly king.

I have been reading some. of your fantasies about the ending and sigh. My personal fantasy would have been to have seen how CP snuck out of the palace to visit Raonie after the coronation to have a private party with BY joining and eating chicken. I imagine their bond strengthening as they courted each other. Long discussions at the book stores, their games, their story telling session.....sigh....I liked all the flash backs they showed us during the drama. It really convinced me on why he loved her much. It wasn't just lust and kissing. It was a connection......where you and the other could simply sit around talking of everything and sundry. sigh.... Him helping her. and vice versa.....sigh...... And also I want to see whether Raon-ie would visit CP at the palace! Can you imagine Eunuch Jang when he sees Eunuch Hong dressed as a girl??? Would love to have seen a snippet of that. Sigh, I am dreaming of the side interactions....would have been so adorable to have seen it.

I would like to have known Yeong's plan for the future ...seen another convo between HGN and the prince where they discuss their plans....I know many people didn't like but I sort of liked the politics. It added a spice drama and ultimately was the deciding factor it making me realise why Yeong  could never live outside the palace with Raon while these power hungry Kims were in power. I think the drama got it right (just about) and I think if the ep count were longer it would have been even better fleshed out. Someone when I read writer-nim's interview, I think she is very well aware of where the drama stuttered but was constrained by the episode count. 

Anyway, these are all some of the little moments I would have loved to have seen and this has made so determined. Once I am done with exam, I am enrolling in a korean class ! I want to read the book really badly and the other one by the same author

Guys I have no idea but I found a video on youtube of PBG walking through Cebu airport and the boy honestly looked terrified......To be clear, the videoer had nothing to do with it, but his face was just so.....it made me feel like crying. I

edit: Previously I liked YAI and SJK. But sigh....hands down he beats them all! He looks so cute! From the side and front. And no plastics! He looks exactly the same in all his high school pics before he became popular just chubbier.

Trust me they are alot of ways to watch the drama. They really need to use other metrics of measuring their popularity.

Edit: International includes other countries other than China yaT_T That's why they keep saying we are less popular in China than the other MoON. But duhhhh! They have official rights! But I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Chinese are watching it via other streams already. Sigh, people please use some trending analyses

Poor PBG. I agree his smile looks very forced in some shots....I do not think he anticipated it being this chaotic. Where else in Korea, despite the crowds, he seemed amazed and glowing. Sigh, I am really disappointed that the hotel allowed this people all the way to the hotel lobby T_T HELLO! Security.....I mean I enjoyed the airport pics but I wished they stoopped there and just waited for the cast and crew to just update their SNS. Bogummy loves SNS and the crew as well. We would have had lots of pictures just to be happy! Now the only ones we are going to get are a clearly uncomfortable PBG! Come on People if you want to know the inside scoop on PBG and KYJ, leave them to be natural (ala like Moonlight BTS) and they will!

Even KDY who is enthusiastic about it now, may not be available later. Still, I wonder if in a couple of years, perhaps, they might be willing to entertain another chapter of MDBC. 

 

 

With this team, I'd trust them to handle a Season 2. I think they can pull it off. Only this time, I hope that if they need an extension, they take it
