There is that Korean adage that if you meet someone three times coincidentally, it’s no longer coincidence, but fate, and you are destined to be together forever. So...

    Switzerland was one.

    North Korea is two.

If they meet again in South Korea, that will be three, and they will be destined for life.

May i say they already met in South Korea... as Ri took that one single step over the bulb wire after Yoon cross over... That's their destiny to be together for life
Maybe or rather hoping mother Kim will play cupid with father Ri to send RiJH back to Switzerland and fulfil his dream there...and somehow a message was sent to Yoon to go to Switzerland... wooo that's is a hope to hold

comrades, can one of you pls pretty pls :D shed some light on this? why is this cruel officer CCG arrested our Capt Ri in spite of CCG knowing he's the son of a high ranking officer? He did know about his father right? i'm glad in the end though his superior backlash & hit him! CCG seems so obsessed with RiRi couple so much so he'll do anything to satisfy his whims! He's the hateful character here.

Don't u guys like that cliffhanger when they just showed the way they crossed the DMZ? Countdown for tomorrow's epi, let's hope the rating goes up to the roof :) and HB's wish will come true....20%!!!!

CCG knows who is Ri's father and he also knows Ri's late brother...
I think CCG is the one who murdered Ri's late brother and now he is trying to get rid of Ri and Ri father

  3. just pop in while watching Ep 09...

when Ri Jeong-Hyeok was questioning his father Ri Chung-Ryeol, his father's face look so strict and his mouth like glued together...

when his mother Kim Yun-Hui asked him to breathe and then go and bring forth Yoon Se-Ri...

and Yoon and Ri faces each other and Yoon asked why his face look injured, etc...Yoon's tone was so full of sadness and love...and Ri tone was so loving and the way he touches her face... the look on father RI was priceless...how father Ri mouth just auto open in shock or just stunt and how he kind of shake his head close his eye close his mouth and look away... that moment in time was the best of the best... i actually rewind 3 times just to watch that moment of father Ri expression...

another moment to enjoy... both Ri and Yoon and Ri's mother sitting down listening to father Ri.. mother Kim was observing the whole time...father Ri really lost to his son this time round... can easily tell father Ri tho being very strict...he has a very soft heart and he loves Ri lots just that he may not express much...

going back to continue the episode...

  4. Oh Yes... Season 1 was amazing beyond and worth rewatching umpteenth times... When I saw there's Dr Romantic 2...i scratch my head and say "hmm...is this a sequence to Dr Romantic 1?"  I hesitated watching Dr Romantic 1 just for that one word "ROMANTIC" as i fear it would be one of those lovey dovey kind of series so I avoided watching it all these years.  Because of Dr Romantic 2 pop up...i decided ok... I will give Dr Romantic 1 a try and that "a try" went into full speed non-stop watching...it was like I need to watch just the start of the next episode and it just happen to be "just the start of next ep" I fell in deep addiction with Dr Romantic 1 and I want to re-watch it.  Of course there are some people in there I want to twist them round and round or put them on the operating table... Opps... enough of Dr Romantic 1...

Dr Romantic 2 is pulling me in all in all and I am so happy to see Chief Nurse Oh, Dr Nam, Dr ParkET, President Yeo...oh just love his smile and twinkle eyes...  Yet to see Mr Goo...I like his quick appearance like magic...just one call from Chief Nurse Oh...and Mr Goo is there...

I did a overnight to Ep 1 to Ep 4 and really worth it all...
Initially I cannot handle Dr Cha as she only blames blames blames...she is like blames Dr Seo...angry with Master Kim...then eye blink blink at Dr Bae especially more so when she finds out Dr Bae has divorced. On the other hand...i am glad noone gives in to her whim and nutty ways...Salute Dr Seo for holding in as much as he can when comes to Dr Seo.  Ah...she was really mad angry with Dr Seo when Dr Seo went in for the Minister's 2nd Surgery. Is it just her style of getting mad angry before checking out details...at least she apologize to Dr Seo after "kind of" hearing Master Kim was the one who sends Dr Seo into the 2nd Surgery and not Dr Seo intentionally stealing her place.  I salute Dr Cha when she bravely corner the high and mighty Dr Yang in front of the Minister's son and Dr Park Min Kook...that's was the best moment of the entire episode...Kudos to Dr Cha and this might just be the waking up call to her to devote herself to Doldam and not see-saw hoping to "buy" her way back to Geodae. Am glad she tells Master Kim her fear in OR but she's ok in ER.  Kudos Dr Cha

Dr Seo losing his parents could have made him cold and not trusting easily or opening up on his feelings thoughts easily.  The image of his parents dead could be a blocking image in his mind that makes him hard to trust others. However, I salute the way he thinks thru and quick on his feet esp the 2nd Surgery where he was asked about the 1st Surgery pre-op procedure, etc etc.  Strangely Dr Seo reminds me much of Dr Kang of Season 1... strong headed yet good with their skills and no matter what happens within their own personal window...they give their all to patients.

My fear after seeing end of Ep 4 a clip of Dr Park Min-Kook being sent to work at Doldam. My fear is because he knew there was recording of 2nd Surgery by his staff yet he denied it to the Minister's son.  That's integrity gone...to lie to the Minister's son there is no recording? He knows there is a recording because during the 2nd Surgery he actually turn look at the nurse like sending a message to her to stop recording hereon... it was like covering up something that happen and wanting to blame Doldam team.  To think Master Kim let him do the 2nd Surgery because Dr PMK graduated from John Hopkins... hmmm...  that reminds me of Dr Song in Season 1 where President DoYW cover up for Dr Song mistake in the OR and put the blame on Master Kim... Now for this case could DoYW cover up for Dr ParkMK and send him to Doldam indirectly to spy on Master Kim and create havoc as he did when he sends Dr Song and team to Doldam in Season 1

too lengthy already...i better stop here... thanks all for sharing and I am glad I hope on to this Dr Romantic 2 ride and it's going to be a great amazing ride ...

  5. Watching up to Ep 7, i confirmed I really want to hang Cho Cheol-Gang.
He is obviously behind the death of Ri Mu-Hyeok, brother of Ri Jeong-Hyeok
I hope CHO will get the slow death in the hands of the Ri's father Ri Chung-Ryeol

Seo Dan is the FREEZING COLD person in the series as to the few appearance of her that pop up here and there... From her smile to her tone...it is freaking scary...worry if Ri Jeong -Hyeok really marries her ... his life would be a permanent iceberg...as can forsee Seo Dan's mother Ko Myeong-Eun will be the center of the marriage

My one wish for a perfect ending to this series is Ri Jeong-Hyeok and Yoon Se-Ri will end up in Switzerland and live a blissful life together away from those "murder-ing" Cho and Seo Dan

  7. Am watching Ep 19 now and at the scene where Lee Wan-Ik brings workmen to destroy Go Sa-Hong residence.  That smirk on Lee Wan-Ik face makes me want to hang him by one leg high up in the open air where the current tram is going or better still at the gateway of Goo Dong-Mae place.

Isn't Lee Wan-Ik himself a low-born man?  If he is, then he is in no position to act like he is noble man.

Ouch...i really need to rewatch this whole drama once it ends so can see the link more clearly. With breath in between catching only 2 eps each week and in between this drama am catching other series...am admit I am sitting on edge now.

Back to Eugene Choi and Ae-Shin. Oh I really like Mr Haengrang and Ms Haman-daek...both of them really protect Ae-Shin and I feel they are also protecting Eugene Choi in some ways. Both Haengrang and Haman-daek are like bridge between Eugene and Ae-Shin

  8. I caught up to Ep 10 and already I am getting restless wanting to just watch all the way to ending without having to wait patiently.

How "Lee Byung-hun" carries thru the character of Eugene Choi is just so amazing and mesmerizing... ahem...that's one word I did not think I would use to describe Lee BH but this particular drama is just so amazing and mesmerizing all because of him and for that I need to salute him for bringing forth the character so well... Yes... he has a stern face, a worried face, an "arrogant" face at times... but whatever facial expression he wears ... it fits each moment so well.  Thank you so much Mr Lee for bringing so much character and life into this k-drama "Mr Sunshine"

Next I need to applaud is "Kim Tae-Ri"... she is indeed the perfect one to be Go Ae-Shin.  Yes...I read some was against her being the lead actress with Lee because of the age gap... Hey...as I watch from Episode 1 to 10 thus far... I find KTR to be so well matched with LBH. They are like clockworks.   Their expression, tone of voice, body language and all are such a match and in sync.  Her low tone when she share her thoughts, or when she is mumbling to herself, her facial expression...they are perfect indeed. I can even watch this series and both LBH / KTR without the volume on and just watching them that way is beyond description.

Thanks so much to the writer, producer, director who offer the role to this 2 amazing artistes.

Age gap or not... important is they bring the story across to viewers.  Strangely another series I am so stuck with is Dong Yi and likewise there were comments against the main artistes Ji Jin-Hee and Han Hyo-Joo being their age gap of 14 years... hey...they carried out their role amazingly well too...

  9. Just finished Ep 06 and I am sitting on edge waiting for the rest of the episodes...
Intense yet so full of "love"... every scene...every conversation...every moment between Ae-Shin and Eugene...
Oh how the title "Mr Sunshine" just don't quite pull through... in my mind I am thinking more like "Mr Intense" if Mr Sunshine is refering to Eugene...
Gonna re watch from Ep 01 :P
Bounced back to real world... Lee Byung-Hun and Kim Tae-Ri... they really carry the drama through so well with their individual role.  I was thinking..."wow...imagine the conversation, the details, the expression...how both of them must portray to capture the audience and same time capture our interest to continue to watch..."
No matter how good the script or story line is... end of it all...it's the artistes who will bring life to the script.

Thanks for bringing so much intense, love to this drama Mr Sunshine...

And here I shall wait patiently for the continuation

  10. Just finished Ep 24 and was hyper-ventilating for the ending and ouch...when the 3 kids appeared...my heart dropped... So So... cannot be right... Not with the Queen right... ouch... and at the same time, i come to accept it is possible because So So needs to have heir to his throne eventually. And all that is for political reason. Ok...can accept on that basis.

However prior to this, when SY decided to leave, I was hoping she's leaving with SS's child and 10 months down the road, SS junior arrives. Ouch..sadly that's no so the case.
The final second when they meant at the little hill with beautiful flowers...it reminds me so much of the ending of Dong Yi when she and the King met again in the afterlife.

Share the same thoughts as @Night-Owl about how SY would only be a threat or a bait to those power-hungry people should SY decides to enter the Palace and stay with SS.  They would use SY as a bait each time they don't get their way.  And once again, this same link to Dong Yi whereby she decides it is best to leave the palace.

Would rewatch this series from beginning just to bandage the wound of the ending. ;)

That's also why I love that Soon Jae halbae seems to like Jiwoo and very much approved if they're going to have a relationship. He needs to persuade uri Seojin-ie further! :))

‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ Na PD “Choi Ji Woo and Lee Seo Jin work in perfect harmony”
    Source: Innolife.......
‘Grandpas Over Flowers’ Na Young-Seok PD praised that day, “The chemistry between Lee Seo-Jin and Choi Ji-Woo was great. Especially Choi Ji-Woo did her job well.” He also added, “If Choi Ji-Woo is okay we will readily go travel again. Lee Seo-Jin is still grumbling now.”

hugs to you for updating so many news and Wonderful Days capture of LSJ.
Remembered LSG said LSJ 'ideal gal type' changes all the time.  Reading his latest ideal gal type is reflecting LSJ as a very down-to-earth person.  Whether he has an ideal gal or still very much single...important is he is healthy, happy and continue to bring more of his talent in the K-world to his viewers.  That's what count the most.
