  1. There are just too many threads so they could not focus on any screen time with the two of them only. Or maybe I had FFW too much. Are You watching Two sisters continuously @LeftCoastOppa ? Good on you, I don’t have to a take a peek. I liked HW in the beginning because she was a spunky FL. But after JC died, all she did was get into yelling matches or conniving. I can’t watch it when the 4/5 major roles are nasty or underhanded or bullying ( that's old Yoon or he’s the only one?) or conniving, HW, Chase, Old Yoon and HJ in that order. Only ML is watchable, even though boring now, he’s still a pleasant person. Stepbrother is back on screen, not shown who died?
  2. Not the boy? He is the cutest. I think it’s stepbrother next. He has not surfaced in many episodes. I want to know the ending and the characters are becoming tiresome. HW could just say to old Yoon,” I’ll step back, leave my son and me alone, here is my letter of resignation”. End of the excruciating story. The whole list of tragic/comedic events was spawned by him cheating on JC’s mother. Adulterers always claim it’s their lives and their personal affair. But in every instance and every culture, even permissive societies, other people get hurt, emotionally or physically or mentally. With or without the drama. The characterisation of HW as a mother fighting to keep her son seems to change to fighting for his inheritance. Old Yoon now wants to have his cake and eat it; marry his young mistress, own his mother’s company and since HJ cannot have children then he would want to keep YK too. Keeping the company and marry his mistress seems to be his right. But I have never understood how the old woman could ‘have’ her great grandson over the mother and now the grandfather? Kdrama family law. Who? Used to be just HJ, now old Yoon as well. But I don’t think it’s time yet. Still 1/2 of the show to go.
  3. I have watched Kwakkie but can’t remember which show. I think he had long hair in a pony tail. Maybe Kwakkie would do a great job in this show if given the chance. But I think KSH is excellent here. I tried watching you from the star but could not get caught in it. So I didn’t see much of KSH. I saw the actress Jun in Windstruck - I think - and absolutely loved the movie. I did watch Moon Embracing the Sun and enjoyed it but I didn’t see any stellar acting from anyone, except for the Shaman woman who rather scared me. Now watching QOT, I am very impressed by KSH, I can see why he is the highest paid Korean actor - if some claim is true. He looks good in a suit and track suit. Having KJW as a couple greatly helps too.
  4. Is anyone watching this? I can’t watch more than a couple of minutes here and there. It looks like old Yoon is hooking up with HJ again. HW is demoted by the writer and she’s crying at the end. It seems idiotic and chaotic.
  5. A brat is a misbehaving delinquent in the normal use. So I couldn’t help laughing each time I read the subs for a full adult who had, for example, just been charged with attempted murder. One of the fun things watching daillies is the subs. It can be seen that they are not a very bright family and had been very dependent on their workers. The everchanging side matchmaker was very involved in the swindle. It’s a bit unusual since the grandfather had been a street vendor who built his conglomerate, he would have instilled similar work ethics in his children. None of the three was anything like him. HI the second generation is the closest to him. Another discussion forum thinks SC did the right thing welcoming his wife back. I think that’s what the lame brain brother would do and had done. Someone had been part of a scheme that put his parents and him in the streets, if not for his BIL, and he warmly welcomed her back. The company is in a bad shape because of ES investment project that involved scamming land owners. SC was the one pushing for it, his wife’s ‘brother’ cost the company 800 billion won in extra tax and he defended the creep - father of his son. I think SC’s lack of awareness of the gravity of the problem he created shows that he really should not be given any important post. In many episodes, he was either trying to outshine HW or HI instead of focusing on the pros and cons of the project. Probably the writer is trying to impart some lesson. I shan’t be surprised if he remained in Young buri.
  6. I think it’s pay back for all the acts of timidity and obsequisence for the last 25 years. She must have been his mistress and living in the same house as the wife in those years. How offensive for the wife, no wonder the aunt just hated her.
  7. She had told him earlier that she wanted him to leave when her sickness became bad. I think telling him of her hallucination would mean she was getting worse and he might leave.
  8. I felt claustrophobic looking at the whole family in the lift. Wouldn’t it be smarter to have just the children take the picture or the chairman on the farewell lap? They were so trusting of Moh, knowing that she had connived to take all they had. The epilogue showed that HW had saved HI from drowning. ES is psychopathic and had an evil streak since young. In the preview, HW and HI seemed to have got back together but she looked unconscious. Moh and ES are still working on their plan. She could have kept them trapped in the lift. The grandfather was made of stern stuff. He had left some message for HI on the phone. How would such a man react to find his faithful confidante mistress has been scheming behind his back? Probably heart broken, especially when she taunted him that she didn’t love him. I was asking another poster if the Korean words gave the same sense for the words ‘ brat’ and ‘punk’ to refer to downright criminal antagonists. Guess not.
  9. HI’s cancer has worsened, she has started to hallucinate. She couldn’t tell that the guy she was with was not HW but YES. But HW came to the rescue and seeing the two of them made her realised that she was not with HW. I love HW’s merc. Looks like an AMG model, and Boemja’s red car!! The mother was moaning regrets as expected, really it was too pat, she had ignored and rejected her daughter for 20 years. I hope they will show her slipping into her old ways on and off in the coming episodes. She does deserve some pay back. The grandfather might have been abused because he was in a state of confusion after becoming conscious from the drug Moh gave him. Perhaps he is smarter than being the duped old man only, but stealing 900 billion won ( about 900 million USD) from the company? Definitely, prison stay is in the cards. A happy ending for the couple seems remote by real life reasoning, but I hope the kdrama gods have a successful treatment.
  10. It’s been many shows I have watched since the ML cried so much. In those days of Stairways to Heaven, Winter Sonata, it was quite a bit. It had startled me being new to kdrama then. HW is quite good at it. Although I like the funny moments better. His friends while loyal to him were very pragmatic people. His divorce lawyer didn’t have a chance against Vincenzo. I didn’t watch that show so was rather taken aback to see Korean Mafia but referencing Italy. Ep 11 will probably focus on the mother wailing and regretting how badly she had treated HI.
  11. No connection, random thoughts Despite all the deaths, it’s highly watched. I saw a lot of partner swapping from the summary. Too gross for me. I’d rather watch Hollywood for that kind.
  12. It’s HW’s work. The kid looks like JC. I didn’t watch the show. Did a kid die? I am taking a break so updating myself from the forum.
  13. The writer has found an engaging bromance. The villains are going to be HW, HJ and Old Yoon. But the uniqueness of this show is that the villains will be fighting villains. I don’t think HW will go rotten completely, she’s a mum.
  14. barely tolerating here. They could have brought her down, many episodes ago. I hope JH has wisened up and demands to take her to the obgyn. Wasn’t there a bedroom scene with her and SR’s father? How come no one from her side came looking when she had vanished for 20 years?
  15. Was this told or shown in any episode? From Noel’s recent confession, she left DS because of the hard life. No mention of another man. Well, she is not going to confess to cheating of course. Come to think of it, what kind of a mother is she? WJG fell in love and married DJ because she reminded him of young Noel so much. Don’t tell me she lost her memory and can’t remember how she had looked in her young days?
  16. What on earth is going on? HW is bent on sending HJ to prison, isn’t she? So why play her game? The FIL was tacky before, now he’s a thorough vulture, ready to swoop on the company without working. I need a break from this show.
  17. Poor JH is still fooled by SR. I am afraid they will make him fall in love with her at the end. DJ and Noel are reunited. I think we are told of what happened between her and DS.
  18. Not only is the writer changing the cast, he/she is also changing the storyline. We had clearcut expectations, the good guys vs the bad guys. I am enjoying Queen of tears although I suspect the ending would cause a lot of anger. Join me to clear your head of this weird show.
  19. There are many more episodes. She could go to the dark side and back again, before she dies (?). Then there are the two guys, both have some form oh history, both are quite likeable but why has ML stopped being goofy? The outsized coats?
  20. I am watching too many kdramas. So sorry chingus. ok before I watch it, have we got the mother daughter reunion?
  21. He was alive after falling from the 10th floor but he died after the car accident. It’s probably what she did after hitting him. His body was found up the mountain side.
  22. They’ve used it a few times. I can see shoving off a cliff. HW hasn’t been as stupid as DJ but the latest was quite stupid. Would you flash a 4 carat diamond in the dark? The recorder was more valuable. But of course there has to be a drama device to move the story. It’s really draggy. Third marriage is trying to fill in 10 extra episodes. This show. Is it trying to build up to a big showdown between HW and HJ? HJ is trying to get SML to fall for her. I don’t see it working. He is a ruthless businessman who works within the legal boundaries -so far, but she has been many things. I only see prison for her, not necessarily there by HW’s effort. @LeftCoastOppa what happened to the female lawyer? Has she given up?
  23. I think we will get the 3 omma’s tonight!! And the 3 tahries too. In the preview, DJ told her mother not to turn her back to her (DJ) again. They were all wearing the same clothes and were at the same location, so Noël wasn’t very ill. There are more than 15 episodes left. Maybe Cheon’s days in the kennel are ending? Badly. She has been quite funny really. The love between her and SR was like between father and son in another show. Both were charged and reunited jail. I think the WTOD has retired from the show.
