    SC is kicking out the duo but as usual Cheong has to include some ridiculous acting, clinging to wall and pretending to be sorry. I think SC must love SR, he had been taken for a ride many times. Let’s hope , he cleans up his act and go to the police. Why is Noel hitched up to an IV?

    Instead of just instigating murder, she is now murdering her common law husband? I would consider it a tragedy if it’s not so over the top. Anyone needs a heart melting romantic show, go to Queen of tears. So cute. But as usual, the title evades me.

    I caught that part about how touched she was. Really, depriving YG of his mother is hardly a sign of cherishing him. Au contraire, it’s a self love that needs an innocent child to provide her with affection. HJ is one character which I had never felt pity or any positive feeling. The show’s theme of revenge is based on such weak arguments. HW stole her place by scaring her off when they were kids. Her horrible life wasn’t due to the trashy mother but to HW’s ‘lie’. If she were in HW’s place, growing up with an abusive stepmother and timid father, what would her revenge be? HW’s revenge was based on her MIL’s being cheated on. I can see a DIL messing with the mistress of the FIL but launching a long-lasting revenge is over the top. There are 30 plus episodes left.

    Thank you @LeftCoastOppa I was wondering why YG was afraid of HW in the preview. You are a ‘brain saver’. I didn’t have to use it to find out such claptrap. HJ hasn’t show much skill in anything other than smashing things around but she found a place for brain washing. With her money, she could have adopted 10 babies, why YG? This show makes me afraid to watch new shows. MIL’s twin put the idea that she must go for what she really wants and plan it in detail. I managed to watch 5-6 minutes of the show before feeling giddy.

    This is one stubborn writer, he/she continues to create new threads. How come SC or his mum isn’t asking why she still does not show any baby bump?

    We are so closed to the end and W JG is going to fall into their trap thus ending his 20-25 years' career as a criminal. But when are KSR and Cheung going to be caught? They have just started her as JH's assistant and she is still manipulating the everyone. SC ,his mother and Cheong are now taking more screen since the lottery tickets Cheong gave SC were winners or one is. I think these four roles have long outlived their parts in the show. Looked like DJ and Jang had fooled WJG, oh miracle!

    I noticed that all the time, except when the characters are the gangsters or the really uncouth type. 😅 WJG did not want JH to find out his sordid past and DJ obliged by following him to his study, and I kid you not, lowered her voice. 🤣 I have said this before, she is bird brain. The actress knows how to emote but she needs to think too. Adding this so ridiculous Chinese imitation at the end of the show must be an act of desperation by the writer and director to raise their rating. WJG is the smartest among the lot, would he be fooled? The writer might do it.

    @partyon My rating is based on how much I enjoyed watching the show. Like most viewers it was for the couple. Other aspects were completely blurred out, so don’t be shocked. I thought the first episode was so fakey, over exploited premise of a chaebol girl-village guy. But reading the comments, I tried ep. 4, then I was hooked. But eps 13-16 were very annoying when the writer threw in the kitchen sink, HW was run down followed by HI was kidnapped and then the shootings. It became the villains’ show.

    That was a really bad imitation of a blind Chinese man by DJ. Anyone who knew her would know that it was her. I think it was also to give actress of sec Jang a chance to wear make up. Is this the part where the ML and FL have fun?

    They got caught while rehearsing? That is so pathetic. Maybe they wanted the minion to know it was faked but they had plan B? DJ can’t be a bird brain all the time?

    Monet is the FL? She started the horror poor DM lived through when she used DM’s name. Now she has redeemed herself. I could not watch it, too convoluted and now MN is the heroine. Thank goodness, I only dropped in now and then and FFW too.

    The melodrama befits the daillies that I have watched. Major head surgeries without loss of a hair, a high speed hit and run causing internal injuries but walking up and about, followed by a shot gun blast are all so distracting. The story as a whole was neither unique nor spellbinding but the characters carried the show so well, even when the storyline has some serious patches. As many people have commented KSH and KJW’s acting were stellar especially when their characters interacted. The other actors were amazing as support, really consistent that they grew on me. The whiny SC, the village gossips, the parents, HW’ s friends were characters that helped set the background for the main couple. The main support I feel were Moh, YES and Grace. The mother and son played the unchanging baddies while Grace, a pragmatic and quite a shameless person, the trio were so interesting, I wanted to know more about how they turned out that way. How did Moh stay as the mistress cum housekeeper for so long? There were many sweet moments and sad ones. The theme seemed to be true love is enduring; HW and HI’s fate that started early in their lives, so was SC and DH. BJ, the much married rich woman and the virginal village philosopher YA were different but had strong attraction, even the sister and friend had some kind of lasting affection for their partners. All in all a truly enjoyable show, 9.5/10 for me.

    For goodness sakes, isn’t it enough to give YES and his evil mother the winning hand and HI being fooled by him? The climax should be the reunion between two people fated to be together. The final episode should be the tying up of loose ends for the other couples, backstories and weddings!! But no, they have to introduce another thread and cliffhanger. Does it make sense? What will be the ending? It looked like some hunting ground.

    I caught the end when he was pensive, saying that he thought love was enough. It sounds like a swan song, sorry @LeftCoastOppa he could die, sacrificing himself. Old Yoon and HJ were thwarted again by true love. The guy should just dig a hole and die.It should be more fun watching the 4 younger cast.

    Not early enough! I mean, at least it would have meant some one had some brain in this bunch of fluff heads. But no, they went to fight a bunch of hardened gangsters on their own, secretary Yang’s sole brain and brawn was not enough. Did she call the police? So we now have confirmation what a scum WJG is but did he start the fire?

    Ok sorry I spoke or wrote too soon. Grandma Bobae isn’t too smart either. Confronting an evil man, 20 years younger and being physical with him, what can one expect? Stupidity runs in the family. Writer, you don’t have to belabour the point. Why is the FL wearing the moustache and short wig? Halloween?

    SR and JH?? He does not deserve the serpent. Even though she seemed to regret some things she had done but nothing stopped her from doing more harm to others. Grandma Bobae was killed!! Die WJG, die SR, die Cheong …. If the FL and ML weren’t such fools, those rats would have been caught long ago. Writer is paid by the episode, maybe?

    I saw him on his knees but I thought it was a ruse. The next few episodes will be dominated by Grandma. I think she had the presence of mind to call the police.

    The actress Oh must have impressed the director with her slack jaw emoting that he got her to go around haranguing the criminals Wang Je Guk, Kim and his hoons, in heels no less. She even rubbed off her birdbrain on the normally practical YH. I FFW a lot so I don’t know how YH got tied up by Kim and hoons. I thought Kim had sided with him.

    I’ll have to wait for someone to recap the episode. The kdrama police are overpaid when DJ, YH etc are around. They came what seemed like hours to tge rescue and I am guessing the Grandmother had called them. Left to DJ and YH, they would have been pancaked.

    She hasn’t shown much intelligence in the show. The writer has made her the opposite of SR. At least, AN is an intelligent kid or we would have many more angsty scenes. FL should be upfront with AN and said “SR is a bad woman”. Tell her how to protect herself. A lot of parents have been teaching their children to scream if they are being abducted.

    Only in kdrama can an accusation/allegation make a parent lose her child. She should have just negotiated to give up all claims to the company, in exchange for YJ. Old Yoon was shacking up HJ while the wife was alive, she could use that too. HW is like many kdrama FLs who threatens and blusters but does not do anything.

    Birdbrain FL. I can see the need to build up suspense but at the expense of logic?

    Again, how is the kid the property of the Yoon family? The mother is alive and healthy. It seemed she’s fired in the preview. HJ was chased out of the house but she had some pills.
