When Long Long is ready, they should make a martial art movie/ drama about Zhao Yun starring Song Wei Long, because SWL is Zhao Yun re-incarnated: handsome, loyal, valiant, honorable warrior.

@hush puppy yes, I watched “love the way you are” on YT . I think he did a great job for the nerdy character and the transformation to prince charming was awestruck
I’ve caught up with most of his films and drama, except for Demon Girl.
All in all, he’s given distinct persona to each of the characters he played, which is so wonderful to watch. He’s definitely NOT an actor relying on his looks, and the characters he portrayed are very different from who he is in real life (based on my observations of various BTS footages). I’m simply amazed at how he was able to project a completely different demeanors when the camera is rolling: so serious and mature as Ling xiao, innocent and upright as Feng Chungjun, flirty and cocky Yuan Song, the two different versions of Rong Zhi, … and then the moment the camera stops, he is back to who he is: clearly a shy, wide eye, vulnerable teenager/ young man, who’s trying to figure out the fast changing world around him and who he is himself. It’s adorable yet heart wrenching to see him going through all that feeling alone… just as you would for any young soul entering the entertainment industry at a young age.
SWL is not a fluff of an actor and his improvement is incredible, at this rate I want to believe his potential is boundless. In a way, I am secretly glad he didn’t blow up too much in popularity bc it would just be another cross to bear. only if he has the good people backing him up, looking out for him, giving him the right support and protection, otherwise it’s just not worth it dealing with all the popularity hassles by himself. It’s wise to use some downtime to “live” and catch up and that will be better for him in the long run, instead of being used and abused. With an appearance like him plus acting ability, people can’t easily forget about him, and I only wish him as much popularity as he can happily enjoy.

@hush puppy Thx for the warm welcome
I’ve been a soompi member since its earliest days (2000s) and more of a Kdrama fan since the beginning of korean wave, although I’m from US west coast. Thanks to the Pandemic, we quickly exhausted our list of show to watch and started to open up to shows from other countries.
A few months back I was recommended to watch Find Yourself on Netflix bc at that time I was watching well intended love, so i was told the ML has the same vibe and even better looking and the FL is Victoria Song from korean girl group f(x). To be honest, in the first 1-2 episodes of FY, I wasn’t quite reeled in bc although the ML was good looking, I didn’t feel the immediate emotional connection and I felt like he’s just another prettyface like Lee Min Ho (i meant No offense to LMH fans, to each their own). Well, a little later w more free time during the year-end holidays, I gave FY another chance… and the more I watched, the more I spiraled down the rabbit hole w SWL - LOL.
I think I’ve caught up w pretty much all of SWL major works, but it was his Ling Xiao role in Go Ahead that solidified SWL as my A list actor, along with Lee Byung Hun and Song Joong Ki of SK. I’m now recommend ding all my friends and families in the US to watch Go Ahead and they all are loving it. After they finished, they want more and I’d tell them to watch Find Yourself and wait for his next work. Haha.
IMO, the role Ling Xiao is SWL’s turning point as an actor. Director Ding Zi Guang is such a blessing destiny for SWL, so glad someone put them together.I don’t care abt SWL personal life, even w what I’ve read, it seems lame, for a young and gorgeous actor. But then I live in US so different perspective. I’m glad to hear he’s getting acting lessons, hope he’s also practicing his English (not sure if it was his own voice in BRF but that was pretty good)… I’m imagining and hoping for him to blow up globally and do a role like 007

I’m a new fan… fallen hard for Ling Xiao!!!
Thanks for the update abt SWL dropping out of IKILY, that explains why there’s no activity on his schedule for Feb.It feels like he’s going through a transition internally and externally. More confidence, assertive, edgy, rebellious. although I will miss his sweet soft princely boyish looks, the emerging images and vibes are just so thrilling and breathtaking. The BTS photos for Mikimoto screams a new gen of rebel-w/o-a-cause!!! How is it possible that even a blurry picture can be so breathtakingly beautiful!!?!?!!! And the video clip, omg, he should do a Noir genre.
Looking forward to his drama “Just for meeting you”, I read the short story and looking forward to seeing SWL shows case a different side of him. Just a hunch, but Something about the character, or this drama that seems to fuel a new source of energy for SWL, he seems healthier, stronger, more at peace and contented the last few months of 2021. Can’t wait to see what the future unfolds for him.-

Such a a wonderful and dedicated actor SJK is. He's completely in character.. I caught a quick glimpse of him slightly out of character when he picked up the spicy soup bowl and about to slurp...and he smiled nervously .. such a cute smile it was!!!!

SJK is exuding a very different aura these days (in a good way)...
His aura at BAA is different even from a few months ago, and I am not talking abt the red carpet walk.
...watching the various fan cams clips , the interactions, the expressions, gestures... I like what I see... And I've become much more curious abt the coming character that he'll be playing in Battleship Island.

Any of those actors would do just fine with DOTS, and the uniform visual might had been slightly more on point.... but I just know , NONE of them actors would give me the FEELS that prince charming SJK has done with DOTS. Period.
