    I’m lurking here and there.. connecting w some of SWL fans on instagram.  Right now there’s a calling to collect Birthday messages for SWL.  If you can prepare something and save it as a pdf file, you can email to this address: songweilongfanclub@126.com, by 3/15/23, and they will send it to him.

     

    I’m hoping more of his works will be shown this year. Although SWL performed well in “A League of Noblemen”, and it can’t be said the drama production wasn’t well invested or meticulous made, in the end the storyline is like a dish well cooked but doesn’t quite hit the spot, unfortunately. Looks like he did gain some good experiences, had great time working on it, and made some good friendships while at it.  And ALON drama was done in 2020 so I found SWL acting was similar to some of his other works around that time.  Sounded like he’s been continuing honing his craft and improving his acting chops so I can’t wait for his new works. 

     

    From glimpses of the movie “Just For Meeting you”, his acting seems to gain another dimension and depth to it, I’m quite excited looking forward to its release, hopefully this year!!!

    SWL’s instagram account has 1.2 million followers and counting. The last picture he posted (he wore a white t shirt by the sea) has over 800,000 likes and counting.
    That’s quite an amazing percentage of interest from international fans. Let’s just say that’s at least 3 times more than what his other mate from HuanYu is getting. 

     

    I’m surprised The very same pictures he posted on his Weibo account has a little more than 100,000 likes despite him having 14.2 millions follower there. 
     

    Anyhow, just happy for him that he’s gaining strong international recognition. There are other chinese actors who may be more popular in china but not outside.

    I thought the long hair tall girl in white sweater is one of his sisters based on the ugg shoes..

     

    Thanks for posting and clarifying so quickly… seems like there’s an on going smearing campaign targeting so many C-actors.. deflecting distracting strategy of sort. 
     

    Glad he’s having his “SWL Studio” handling public relations now and re-acted swiftly, guessing he got that in the package negotiated in court w YZ.

    @hush puppy agree!!!!

    SWL has shown over the years that he may have gotten in acting by chance, and given opportunities due to his outstanding appearance, but he does take this acting profession seriously and work hard to improve his craft and build a career out of it.

     

    Song Wei Long may not started acting following the traditional path, but in essence, he’s learning the arts and crafts just as one would be taught.  He is not chasing after popularity ( fame, money), managing his own pace of growth and progress, all the while taking necessary measures to protect his career and reputation… we can all see the results of his efforts: his improved actings, diversities of the roles he took, his insightful interpretation of the characters, keeping a professional clean image…  all of that showing he’s serious about acting, respectful of its purpose, and That is the attitude of someone with an “educated” mindset.

    This video looks soooooooooo gooooood, SWL is creating another unforgettable character… and he looks every bit the character.  I read the story and SWL image of “4FIRE” is just as the story described, even better I must say.  cannot wait for the release even though my heart aches already but I’m ready to cry for a beautiful love story.

    [ Mainland Chinese Drama 2023] A League of Nobleman 君子盟

    Finished up to episode 20.  This drama is like ancient CSI (Crime Scene Investigation)… I’m loving it more and more. The actings are getting more gravitas along with character developments and every actor is doing a great job in his role. Bravo!!!  I’m starting to see how the plots of the story begin to connect all the characters toward the theme “A League of Nobleman” and not just a simple detective drama...beautiful and brilliant!!! I’m forgiving all the previous clumsiness in the making. This drama is quite a gem: unique, creative, aesthetically pleasing. Looking forward to more episodes and all the events building up to that triumphant climax.

    Here is a YouTube video with English subtitles of ALON casts latest live stream.  I really love how SWL is so natural, comfortable, funny, charming, down to earth friendly but heavenly gorgeous in this interactive online session. JBR seems to be constantly tickled and amused and must I say smitten with SWL. I can see that he adores SWL and teases him like a younger sibling.

    @hush puppy I’ve finished watching the first 10 eps of ALON, one more day til the next batch is released. 

    I’m looking forward to it since the previews show some good acting chops and plot progress coming up. 

    SWL looks soooooo good in the latest live stream w ALON casts… he seems happy contented, comfortable being his silly self, .. and JBR is like a big brother who adores, accepts and supports him .. their friendship is so heart warming and I hope it lasts a lifetime.

    [ Mainland Chinese Drama 2023] A League of Nobleman 君子盟

    Finished 10 episodes.  Mixed feelings: there are moments during the drama when I thought: wow, I’m impressed w the creativity and art direction of this drama, then the next moment I’m like “WTH was that!!!?!!”, in particular that scene in the wood where the dancer Li had Lan Jue hung and Zhang Ping came to the rescue, felt outdated and disengaged; camera angles, dialogue, the whole ‘motion picture’ was just awkward and felt like it was done by a film crew from the 80s/90s. 
     

    overall the storyline is good, no redundancy, refreshing, interesting and successfully grabbing my attention to keep watching for the next development,  and the actings are sufficient from all casts so far .. my frustration is just w the overall inconsistent direction, but still kudos to the production for trying and taking a risk. I just hope they pull it together better in later episodes, if not, it’s just too bad bc they missed an opportunity to make a spectacular show given the resources they had.

    Wow, another set of pictures released and SWL looks amazing. Here’s the link and the interview. I’m using the text translation to read it. So glad for him that he made the right decision in the last two years to slow down, take some time off to care for himself. His inner peace really reflected beautifully outward on his recent pictorials. Can’t wait to see his next work and progress!!

    After "In the Name of Family", he had no works to meet the audience for a while. For an actor who was on the rise of his career, Song Weilong was also worried that he would be forgotten.
