What the hell was that!?!?!
The editing was all over the place...scenes were editied so abruptly...how dis they fight start!?!? How did they get separated from each othet!?!?.....and that final scene!?!? WHAT!?!?!
I cant even call that the ending....it was not open ending ...it was simply BLAH. So anticlimatic!!!
I think the original 68 episodes should have happened instead of now just 67...at least it'll give us at least the slightest ever closure!!!!!
And...if they were intending to do a season 2 right from the start....they still should have a better ending to season 2!
So so so disappointed! Spent so mant hours in the wee early morning catching the live cast and going to school sleep deprived and panda eyes...and this is what i'm gifted with! -.-

Ahhh...been silently reading posts as school life has returned in to full swing!
I'm going to see how the newbie actress turns out- everyone needs to start from somewhere and JooWon was given that chance 6 years ago to grace our screens for the first time. I just hope she is able to perform well. That is all i ask of an actress! ^^

Reading all the comments here make me think that Joowon should be managed by fangirls. HAHAHA! We only have his interest at hand and don't bother about making money for the agency or using him to bring out the lesser known actors. All we care about is him doing what he wants, career longevity, growth and that he gets paid well.
For me, i dont mind if he is alongside aspiring actors even if they are lesser known actors because he was also given a golden opportunity when he debuted on the small screen and that was the beginning of his amazing career as an actor. Knowing Joowon and his wish to become a professor/teacher in acting, acting with juniors and fresh newbies cannot be avoided.
I too, dont mind Joowon taking on roles that even though doesnt result him to explode to popularity, as long it brings put another dimension in his acting or an extraordinary character where he proves everyone's doubt and criticism wrong (ie Lee KangTo & Park Si On).
Woah...i thought that post i types eons ago got lost in cyberspace when i refreshed the page but got saved^^ anyways...Joowon was a breath of totally fresh air in my haywired day of school work over the weekend...definitely made my day even if it was for just a moment!!! ^^ He has that indescribable positive effect on people without even him knowing. It's called the JooWon effect.
Anyways, hi every one...its been a while since i've romaed this place. Hopefully i'll be able to visit more often as my schedule decreases over the next few weeks~^^

Does this mean there are lesser opportunities for older actors to head a drama or that if he does, the chances of getting a hit is less? It shouldn't be but the statistics seem to tell me otherwise.
I am less worried for Joo Won because I know his acting will become better and better. However, if it means less opportunity, it's also worrisome. Is that why breaking into movies is so important? In movies, the statistics are the opposite.
I think it has been like this in the more recent years. Actors (just like idols) are getting younger and younger, so many of them work very very hard in their younger years in order to earn enough so that they can do other things. I guess you consider this as the career path of an actor. The audience demographic is very different for TV series and movies. There aren't so many "Harvey Spectors" out there I reckon. Given Korea's obsession with pretty probably also makes it difficult for leading roles to be written for older actors. That's also probably why they don't go on military service until they're 30, so that they can snag as many roles being written for that age range as possible. I'm always wondering though, if they went to military service first before university (like our +8 GMT boys do), then worked through that time without a break into their 30s, would they see a better career? Imagine the one actor who does that against the trend, imagine if Joo Won had also gone against the trend - wouldn't he be on his way to doing even better things now than having it all disrupted now?
There is an actor Yoo Seung Ho who enlisted at age of 19, he was an anomaly. But then he started acting at age of 7 so I guess you can say he acted for like 12 years just like how most actors would have by the time they entered MS.
I think the Koreans have created an artificial distinction Before MS and After MS for their actors and celebs. What if MS latest entry age is 35? Or 25?
On another topic altogether, I can't seem to start on any kdrama after Yong Pal. Wanted to watch 6 Dragons but turned out my brain froze at heavy saeguk. Never picked up The Village. And I realized again how shallow I am after I couldn't pick up SWP for the same reason I dropped Witch Romance. Anyway, I am very busy with RL but I need some entertainment. Resume my rewatch? Guess what? I am probably the last person on earth to watch BBJX
another actor who has done his MS early in his career is Lee Kwang Soo & Lee ChunHee. I dont think MS has got to do with how successful you'll be after service but rather a choice of projects that they choose to embark on? For me, its the script that is the bull's eye for me as it can make or break a drama. Casting, yes important, but if the plot and writing are all over i wont be able to stay long with in. Same as poor acting. They co hand in hand with each other. Family dramas do very very well in terms of ratings yet not many top end actors take on these because it is a very long commitment usually half a year.
Eric aka Moon JungHyuk finally made a successful return to the small screen last year with the Discovery of Love. I think its all got to do with the choice of projects chosen more than anything. I firmly believe that Joowon will fine after his MS duties ^^

I mentioned to you briefly before part of my field of work. It actually makes me very sensitive to body language (you can't help but build those capacities because of the nature of the mode of communication used), and I'm mostly very accurate when it comes to reading non-verbal linguistic signals.
So while watching Joo Won, I saw more than "him". I also saw slight movements in facial muscles and overall body language. He's *really* the strong and silent type. Heheheh...With regard to some of the earlier posts about him being "greedy when it comes to work" - I'm not sure if you were referring to that quote from a netizen who attended his Healing Camp recording, but I've noticed that this direct translation "greedy" from the original Korean is actually seen positively in their culture. It points to an industrious character who is steadfast and eager to work. A positive trait.
Maybe possible another word for that would be "ambitious" rather than greedy. He knows what path he wants and he knows what it'll take to get there even though it is a long tough road ahead. Utter respect for him!! ♥♥
I've just finished watching Healing Camp...and you really can't do anything but love this man for the person he is. In this day and age, people like him are extremely rare and we should thank his parents for raising one fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee son!! ^^ He's sincere in all that he does and though it is a tough industry and he can't help but doubt himself at times, i think he's one of the most brightly lit stars among the industry! If it is possible, because I can't have the ORIGINAL JooWon for myself (you have won more a lottery can ever offer future-JooWon-wifey!) can I have a Joowon clone please?!? hehehe

I hope one day I'll be able to share my personal account with you all (although I'm not such a great narrator like most of you). Til then, I can only hope, wish & BELIEVE and enjoy recounts! Hehe-

Backtracked a few pages and read about ranki g favourite JooWon dramas?
I don't rank dramas as top drama or my fav of all times as quite frankly, my mood determines what i enjoy watching at that particular time. For me so far, Good Doctor, Gaksital and Ojakgyo Brothers are on the top of the ladder but i cant say which is first! Haha. YongPal was great, dont get me wrong, but the direction in the latter half was not what i expected? The acting in it by all, especially JooWon was top notch but the story just didnt do it for me towards the end so very closely missed out in my top grouping of dramas! ^^;
Acting wise, YongPal was right up there amongst the best I've seen by the entire cast although TaeHee was a bit stiff/forced at times (dont hate me!!!!) I already miss the drama, particularly the relationships formed along the way! ^^ Bromance for the worldd!! Ahaha

Well,it's sad isn't it? I want him to go army end of next year so that he can take all the awards first. Most of the award ceremonies will not give awards to actors who are not present.So ya...He should take all the awards first
For Yong Pal,I am expecting Joo Won to get Paeksang Awards which will hold next year,SO he needs to be there. Also it will be nice if he is selected for Blue Dragon awards or Grand Bell award next year for "That guy". Joo Won's performance seems more powerful there and the movie seems to have more artistic value.Hyun Bin won the biggest honours for his portrayal of JooWon in Secret Garden a few years back even though he was absent due to military duties.
Arghh..i want him to go sooner so he can come back sooner..but i also want him to go later so i can see more of him now! Inner turmoil of a first world problem! Haha

In Korean "years" JooWon will be turning 27, I believe. As an 87er myself, JooWon is turning 28, same age as me.

In terms of Korean age, he'll be turning 29- usually a year older than the 'western' age! ^^ that is why he keeps referring that it's his last year in his twenties this year! ^^;

but if I can I want to go to airport to welcome him. I was thinking of what to prepare to give to him. Food?? Flowers? Banners?? Aaarrhhh my first time chasing an actor/singer. So excited.....Haha, it's my first time chasing too xD Your daughter wanna chase him too? lols
I wish you both better luck than I did when I went to "chase down" (literally!!) this wonderful man in Sydney!! Just be aware- your adrenaline may run a little wild while in that chase, and that was when i was unsuccessful =( hehe. ^^

While everyone is sitting on the edge of their seats each week due to Yong Pal cliffhangers, my real life has swallowed my time available. Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that i don't have to do through the heart tugging and waiting each week!? ahahaha...But I am determined to start it soon and marathon it!!! I wanna see JooWon in ACTION!!! i miss him! T_T
It's been a long time since I've been on here...as while it's been a while and probably not as great as watching YongPal at the moment, But I'll give you my version of my first ninja attempt in tracking down JooWon when he was in Sydney for his super SHORT stay!!My Attempt to track down JooWon in Sydney 27/08/2015
It was at that faithful time of 1.25pm when the bell rang for 5th period that i decided to check my phone. And volla...never in my wildest dreams would I dare to think or imagine that JooWon has touched down in Sydney in the morning. Let me emphasise...JOOWON...SYDNEY...ME...SAME CITY!! Well..i cant remember what I taught that day cos all i can remember is in my mind over and over 'JooWon is in Sydney...JooWon is in Sydney!'
After class, asked around where this place was..but no one knew..but we all knew where this place was!
THE QANTAS CREDIT UNION ARENA!!!! ^^ At least this narrowed it down to the where about's he is staying!! ^^
Now, the issue became: should i go attempt to see him? Should i? Should i not? Tried to convince another friend to try this 'track down JooWon mission with me but she was busy! I was inner turmoil..had to consult a few of my non-JooWon-ian hardcore fans to convince me..and yes..if i didnt go, i would have regretted it! Further encouraged by @maymay @farbarri...I stuffed work aside...i'm going on the mission even if i'll be a zombie at school the next day!!! Haha
Left school...went home..had a quick shower to rid of the kid smell...i mean..i had to make myself look 'presentable' right? What if my dreams come true?! Wouldn't want to meet the man smelling like teenage kiddos right?
Quickly prepared an aussie like gift, autograph pen and paper, drove and parked at a train station and trained it to the city. At that point..who knows where he would be. Me constantly checking his instagram to see his updates and luck struck- SCOREEEEEEEEE- he just finished his dinner at Chinatown @ 7ish!!!
Decided to make my trip to Chinatown. Scanned the place...no one familiar...walked on to the busy Chinatown streets..maybe he went for dessert? Scanned..there was this famous cream puffs with a long line...maybe he was lining up there!?
But no...
Continued my trek down the famous chinatown road continuously scanning like finding Where's Wally..except i'm playing "Where's JooWon"! Eventually i walked to this place where JooWon posted this morning...the Qantas Credit Union Arena...
And behold..JooWon's stay for his Sydney pitstop. ^^
I stayed there for about 20mins thinking of all the places he would be going to..i mean..his schedule did say Mountia filming for 2 days...2 DAYS!! Obviously he would have gone to see the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge...or walked around Darling Harbour where it was much closer to where he was staying! Made up my mind- he must be powerwalking along Darling Harbour! So i left my spot outside his stay..and off i went...walking and scanning hoping a handsome familiar face would light up my eyes...thinking....

After an hour of walking..and searching...and at the end of the walkway...walked all the way back and sat outside watching the hotel doors.Everytime a taxi pulled up, i veered inside to see who it was...either no one was inside or no JooWon!! As i was all alone...friend called to keep my company (mind you, she thinks i'm crazy and what i'm doing is hilarious!!) Everytime someone came out..my heart started to race a little! I mean..only me there..what am i going to say? Will i have courage? What if he whizzes passed me? All these scenarios popped in my head and i'm trying to rehearse if JooWon does make his much awaited appearance!
It was getting late...and it was a Monday..so the place is pretty quiet and i was sitting there in the cold winter all alone... Friend said I should start heading home...and i was coming up with all these excuses of "what if"- what if JooWon came when i'm heading home? What if i just miss him by a few minutes if i leave right now etc etc.
And, as if JooWon saw my situation and to tell to go home..he posted this:
Goodbye Sydney?? WHAT!?¿But schedule says filming for 2 days...2 DAYS!!! But he's off on a plane ALREADY? AND that means..he would have left the hotel hours ago..which means if i stayed at the hotel instead of assuming him powerwalking...I COULD have met him!!! T.T
THIS WAS SERIOUSLY A CASE OF SOOOOOOOO CLOSE YET SO FAR!! So disappointed with myself but it was a fun experience! My JooWon...i hope one day i will have my lucky break in finally being to meet you in person instead of me just staring at you through a screen or watching you whizz passed me!
One day....just one day! As the girls always say here, BELIEVE! ^^;
So..that's my adventure in the search of JooWon! Haha
Mind you,it was a super hectic week at school that week..and i was such a walking zombie that i had to take a day off!! Haha.
Any tips of improving my ninja skills?!!? hahaa-

Okay, so if anyone else was thoroughly confused like I was...read the wiki for 2015 Summer Universiade.
I know it's been on his schedule for weeks, and I had no idea what it meant. I thought, naively, that once it happened and there were photos, it would all make sense. But no. No no no. Those photos did nothing to clarify. Haha. But I get it now. (Am I the only one who's never even heard of this event before??)

Haha, you're not the only one. I've not heard of 'universiade' too. Before yesterday, I thought it was just some university event and wondered why was he participating since he's not their alumni. But it turned out to be such a big scale international event xD

Haha. Me three~ Never thought universaide was such a huge event!! I knew a friend's friend's friend when to universaide for Taekwondo but I didn't think it was this large of a scale event!! haha. But it was was good to relive JooWon's musical moment even for a short barely-2 minute singing stint!! I miss it! T__T
