I can feel that it'll end tragically as well. But I really want it to be wrong. Everytime I think about the ending, I feel really nervous. Since this is a pre-produced drama, means they already have an ending. So no matter what we say won't change anything.

Hopefully, these two will end up getting married, Mo Yeon gets pregrant...Si Jin will be sent on a dangerous mission again and comes back to a wife and a baby. Perhaps we can see Mo Yeon's struggle of being left alone by her husband.

The ending may break our hearts but I am already prepared for the worst. Anyway, for now, it's been only 2 episodes and we will be treated with wonderful couple scenes ahead. I am sooooo waiting for the kiss scenes ^_^

Thank you.Please.I don't want any of the leads to die.

The English voice-over tells about the danger of being around a guy with a gun. Then, the scene where Shi Jin got buried under a mess near the end of the preview clip...something tells me the ending will be tragic. With Shi Jin being sent everywhere in and out of Korea for his missions (sometime the "vacation" lasts long like a year in Urk), it is hard to see how these two can maintain a long-distance relationship; even if Mo Yeon becomes an army surgeon, she can't go with him all the time.

Anyway, let's just hope it will be fine in the end; of course I look forward to a happy ending :) Soldiers need love too; and even though Shi Jin knows how his job can kill relationships, his heart beats for Mo Yeon, he just can't help it. I still can't get over how smitten he gets with Mo Yeon; so fondly and adorable. Poor guy, just the thought of having someone waiting for him makes him feel so happy.

  3. I can only say that I love the premise of this drama. What I have seen so far is very promising. In fact, it make me feel privileged to watch such a drama. A delicious dish, a touching song, a nice movie or drama...they are just part of what make our life exciting.

What I see in DOTS is not usual love triangle, mother/father-in -law. In a war zone, none of that happen. We have two strong characters who knows clearly what they want in life. When they like someone, they are direct about it and don't hold back. The way they flirt is also not cheesy or teeny stuff. They exchange natural and mature conversations.

I read somewhere that it's gonna be a tragic love story. Judging from a scene in the 8-minute preview shown in the press confession when Shin Jin saves a guy and got knocked behind by a huge pillar, yes, tragedy may happen. But I am prepared to accept death in the end because after all, it is a story about people who are willing to risk their life to protect others. The way Shi Jin looks so fondly at Mo Yeon will always remain in my heart.

DOTS, in its core, is a melo but has other touching elements in its that evoke thoughtful thinking. What I see ahead is about two people who learn about each other's profession and life principle and adapt to each other. There will be conflicts and heartbreaks ahead, for example, Mo Yeon will learn more about the atrocity of war, how Shi Jin has to face danger to save people or may find herself in a situation where she has to save a man who just kills other people or her colleages.  Shi Jin may have to choose between saving Moo Yeon and obeying commands from his superiors. They also may have to witness the deaths of their fellow workers/soldiers.

The love story of Shin Jin and Moo Yeon is a fantasy but it just seems so real to me.

  4. Damn. I stumbled on a video of EK when I was browing youtube.

The one where our king WY died and EK held him crying.

It was so long ago, I though I could surpress my feeling and forget about the drama but I cried again like a kid.

WY, What did you do to me :(

Talking about the drama, I would never forgive WY's murderer.  And I still can't call YK as SN like I once did.

  5.  @anjshin : I have been spending times trying to forget the biggest dissapointment I ever had with K.drama called "Empress Ki" my friend. So naturally I had to distant myself from him for a while to clear that drama off my mind.

I do hope he will have upcoming project where his talent is treasured and respected for real.

  6. http://www.dramabeans.com/2014/05/yoon-eun-hye-cast-in-period-film-chronicle-of-a-blood-merchant/

I was glad to see his name there. But just someone with the same name, right? :(

Really can't wait for news about his next project

  7. Before blaming WY’s carelessness, I blame EK first for letting TN’s old servant took care of Maha.

That servant didn’t harm Maha, yep. But what would she think when EK wanted to protect Maha and send him to Goryeo, esp sending Enunch Park to personally escort him there. That kind of special attention, isn’t it strange? If K just sent Hongdan instead, nothing could have happened. She could send Enunch Park out of the palace for a while – she could do so with Hongdan if she wished to. When she let Maha in the hand of an enemy, the outcome could be so unexpected.

If the writers want enemies know about Maha’s identity, they can have plenty of way to disclose it. WY can discuss with his subordinates in a closed room and still be overheard by his enemy outside – as per the writers want. The whole thing with WY discussing about Maha and overheard by that servant is out of character.

There’s no proof about Maha. The kid is dead and burn into ashes.  Even the 3-birth mark is gone. It’s not like DSK or that servant don’t want to harm EK – but without proof, the only thing they can do is to report it to TH. Except that, accusation from DSK, YBS WITHOUT any proof, is it even considered beliveable?

So TH wants to eliminate all people who can cause problems? Really? Or he just stops after WY is dead. How many times do he see WY with Enunch Bang? He chased after WY to kill him with the excuse of protecting EK but knowing full well that WY is willing to do anything to protect EK. Right after WY is dead, he stops – not even caring about capturing the 2 remaining of WY’s subordinates. Really TH or your brain can only think this far? You forget that Enunch Bang can tell-tale with ED or others? Or you can only feel relieved that you opponent is dead and that he will stand in you way with EK no more?  You re-install WY as Goryeo King (note: WY earns that for protecting TH and EK – the throne doesn’t just come back to him out of no where) so that you can score points with your wife and doesn’t have to bear of reputation of being ungrateful, only to crush his dream of returning to Goryeo and kill him behind your wife’s back.

If TH makes a clear-cut efforts to eliminate everyone involves, aka: to kill all of WY’s subordinates and focus on capturing enemies like DSK’s subordinates and YBS – who may know about the secret, then I can take his intention somewhat seriously. But no, he just contents with killing WY.

Instead of making things better, he just causes pain. To EK. to himself. WY can no longer feel pain anymore - he finally got to meet Byul.

Oh, forget to say: If the truth isn't out from WY's side - says....Enunch Park instead, then I bet TH will still want to kill WY. That doesn't make any difference. Because WY knows Maha's identity no matter what and TH wants him die for that.

TH thinks he does things for the best. Nope, to me he is just a murderer.

  8. Long post ahead, sorry in advance

    1. About WY being the hero with a few men around:

Let me count how many time WY acts as a hero with only a few men around him

    - He rescued SN from being raped. That action only required him. The consequence: he was dragged to the bordered to die.

    - He became hero in the border war with Turk after he was humiliated and treated like a dog, having to fight for his survival. He didn’t do it himself but motivate others to fight with him too.

    - He, not TH, saved SN from the palace prison, as he pretended to side with ET, bargaining nothing on the table but his life and his wit. That action only needed him to perform.

    - He saved TT’s life because he needed TT’s alliance in bringing down ET. That action, he had the help from Bisoo.

    - He saved LK and TH’s life with only a handful of men and nearly had to pay for it with his life.

    - He took part in bringing ET down by getting close to him, at the cost of having to marry his niece (his own sacrifice) and through forming an army squad of his own (by training with them to the point of nearly being unable to run anymore with his bleeding feet)

    - He participated in ET’s treasure fighting, helping LK to also help Goryeo. That action didn’t require a lot of people: Bisoo to lure BA to the trap, Makseng to burn the fake money, Bisoo’s survants as the informant and his two other men to help move the treasure.

Yes, WY has only a few people around him but let just say: WY has wisdom and his subordinates, though not a lot (say…2 men, two Enunch, Bisoo and her servant) are very effective when needed. When he has to do bigger task, he motivates people or make allies to have enough manpower.

It makes sense to me that he can manage to do a lot of things even with a small number of people (well,  he can make the number bigger when needed). It’s about how to use your brain and your people well for your purpose that matter, not really about the big number all the time,

    2. WY is always the hero from the start of the drama.
I thought everyone already knew that, judging on the drama's progess.

I will also feel he is forced to become hero all the time if everything he did was correct, superior above eveyone or carried out smoothly every time

But each of his heroic acts wasn’t easily achieved. He had to pay for each or it, risking his own life, his subordinates’ lives too. He also needed a lot of help in order to achieve these. He wasn’t always right. He wasn’t always the best thinker. He was vulnerable like anyone else.

How many times he made mistakes/ was mistreated/was nearly killed/was vulnerable/outwitted?

    - He was dethroned the first time because he was inexperienced, kinda arrogant towards Yuan/ET

    - He was nearly killed by DSK for defending his people

    - He was mistreated in the border, having to kneel down, lack of food.

    - He didn’t know about ET’s fake death and risked being exposed without SN’s help. Hey he couldn’t plan everything.

    - Without Bisoo’s secret help during the fake money issue, he and his men were nearly killed. He was human after all, not a God of strategy all the time because he tried to do too much with his small number of people.

    - He got his throne back but but not without threats by TH and BA to serve Yuan, even to the extent of abolishing Goryeo name

    - He wasn’t the one figuring out the meaning behind children’s song.LK and TT did.  Again, he doesn’t have to be the one to know everything or be the smartest everytime.

    - He was dethrone again for standing up against Yuan

    - He was tortured by DSK and BA, mistreated by TH (tied without water or food) but couldn’t save himself. LK did.

    - He was nearly killed with all kind of injuries. Bisoo had to risk rescuing him.

    - He lost his woman, lost his son. He couldn't prevent that.

People can think of him as a boring hero. Hey if I just sit and see him do all the great stuff from the drama, I will find him boring as hell. Instead, I always have to worry if his plan fail or he will be in danger. His life is too unpredictable. Hm, this drama is about Empress Ki and she has so many genius schemes that I have no idea where that can come from but none ever question why – people just just marvels at how smart they are. She is the ultimate hero, not WY.

Actually, WY is one of the most unfortunate heroes I have ever seen – not because he lost his woman or his son (I saw plenty of that). But because he has to fight for every little thing he has in his life, which is easily taken away from him just because of his status from a dominated nation. Because in his fight, he is so outnumbered that danger can fall on him anytime. He rescues people but there are also times he can’t help himself and has to seek that from other.

If he isn’t smart, he can’t survive until now. If he doesn’t excel in stuffs, he has zero chance of taking back his throne. It’s the same like LK because despites whatever she does, she lives in the dangerous palace. She has to do well to achieve her goal but she also needs help from other, including WY.

     3. About LK's comeback to the palace

It's too soon to say how WY will help LK, whether that truly happens or she helps herself, lol. So I reserve my opinion about this and it's too soon to start thinking about "Oh WY is the hero again".

But there's one thing: After Bisoo's death, WY already intended to find out about the merchan leader. I believe he is only one who can do that now. This will no doubt benefit LK and TH, one way or another. Also, it's not like LK to sit still and does nothing - she is a fighter,

  9. eunsuhae said: @kenneth123 : as it is, the actors and their great performance is what's saving this otherwise wasted drama
I'm particularly sad for JJM, he's worth so much more than this role requiring that he keeps a stoic face the whole time (the only variation is when he's crying his eyes out whenever the writers decide to kill someone dear to him)
he has little to no liberty to show his acting skills (compared to TH's character and JCW is doing an excellent job out there) and people who don't know him are thinking poorly of him.
this role didn't add anything to his experience, if anything it's bringing it down

sorry if it's offtopic, maybe this should go in JJM's thread

  10. tieuyeunu said: Ha Ji Won is a great actress, what I loved most about her is her use of vocal range, her voice was lowed like a man when she was pretending to be a guy, then it changed to be a bit more feminie when she returned to being a girl but was never as girly as HJW's real voice or those that appeared in WY's and TH's imagination. In WY's, her voice was lower compared to TH's imagination because WY at that point still thought she was a guy, while TH knew she was a girl. It was a small difference but I still appreciated the effort to differentiate between the two.

Like the scene in ep 45 when she found out about Byul, I loved this scene, so many emotions in such a short span of time.

JJM is the same, not sure if anyone noticed, but at the start his voice was higher pitched and he spoke in a faster tone, after being 'humbled' during the turk war, he lowered his voice and slowed down his speech, then after the death and revival of SN, he got even lower and slower, making him sound a bit tired and colder, this is reflected in the way he carries himself, he is more measured in his approach and manner.

JCW on the other hand carried the same tone from start to end, I don't know if this is the actors inexperience or its to show the characters lack of emotional growth. I like to believe its the later. TH was emotionally weak from the start, his only emotional support was SN and now that he suspects he has lost her support he seems to have reverted back to his former self.

  11. I notice there was discussion about Wang Yoo selling explosive materials to enemy state of Yuan 1 or 2 days ago. As I was curious myself whether he did that for real, I rewatched the recent episodes carefully. And the conclusion is: he did. He orderd Bisoo to do the sales of explosive materials.

Here’s what he said to Lady Ki (LK) the day before he returned to Goryeo:

LK: Is there no way to stop the war?

WY: If we can't stop them, then just turn them into our chance. If everything goes according to my plan, Her Highness will be able to achieve both military power and the wealth of Yuan Empire. I will also be able to get what I want.

LK: Can you explain in details?

WY was already thinking ahead of everyone about his own way to buy times to protect Goryeo from Yuan’s invasion.

It’s WY’s idea that: Each province has to turn over military products but they are required by LK to turn over only a little. The new business group formed by WY’s subordinates will buy them and sell to the expedition force with a higher price. The profit will be allocated to province head and in turn, spent for Yuan’s people who are trapped in famine.

There are some points I want to make clear:

    - It’s right that WY uses LK. She doesn’t know that his real motive is trying to buy time for Goryeo via indirectly helping enemy state of Yuan. I guess she thinks he keeps part of the profit made from business.

    - In his process of using LK, he helps poor people in Yuan with profit from business. This is what LK wants. Taking care of poor people in Yuan is a way to make Yuan better – the nation that Ayu will rule latter, esp when TH is unable to do that until now.

    - It’s not exact to say WY endangers LK by selling explosive materials. She is already in danger the day she decided to that business proposal just by dealing with Goryeo alone and she knew that. She accepted the danger with the aim of helping poor people.

A province head: But if we are not careful enough, everybody who is involved in will inevitably be condemned to death.

LK: War or everything else, nothing is without risk.

If it is found out that she deals with Goryeo about supplies for expedition, even if WY doesn’t sell these materials to enemy state nation but a non-enemy state, she will still be guilty according the law. Wherever he sells these materials to, if Yuan knows, both he and LK are in danger.

The thing is: WY does it secretly without no evidence – he knows the consequence and he is careful enough. Even BA or ED can’t know for sure and without evidence, they have to fake the book.

LK is dragged into that attempt just because BA and ED want her dead because of her Goryeo origin – they don’t know she is involved for real. They have to resort to torture to make WY drag LK in.

    - I'd like to think about WY's action as a way to saborting Yuan's expedition effort rather than trying to harm Yuan's innocent poor people or harm Yuan as a nation. He indirectly helps the enemy state of Yuan but it doesn’t mean Yuan expedition fails just because of this. Even ED told BA that they needed a scapegoat and WY is chosen for that. BA is a strong warrior but the war occurred at a wrong time.  Yuan brought their troops to other nations to create war – WY’s actions just only help somewhat for the enemy state to withstand Yuan’s invasion – not that the enemy state invades back Yuan and try to seize Yuan or what. BA and TH just simply let the war drag on too long than it should be – it shouldn’t have started to be honest.

As I said above, WY’s actions also help Yuan’s poor people. He fulfils the part of the commitment he made in the transaction.

So how come it means he intends to harm Yuan to ruin the nation that Ayu will rule? It’s not like the considerable amount of minerals that WY brought from Yuan can help to do the miracle of defeating Yuan. It just aims to buy time for Goryeo.

    - WY will never harm LK. He proposed a dangerous trade with her and she accepted the danger of it. Even if he has to use her for Goryeo, he will try to make sure that she won’t be in danger. And himself too – cos if the trade is exposed, he will commit treason against Yuan. By standing against Yuan now, its price is only dethronement again, not death sentence. At least he gives her what she wants in that transaction: profit. She doesn’t approve of war – if Yuan fails to conquer the enemy state, TH and BA can just recall the troop and end the war. The war dragging on shouldn’t be blamed just on WY – ask those to want to win no matter what. See how he was tortured and kept silent about LK though that would kill him or make him a disable person.

    - Lk has the rights to upset at him. As kwibi of Yuan – she indirectly helped WY backstab Yuan’s (wrong) expedition effort.

But I think she will understand why WY has to do so. LK couldn’t stop the war and if Yuan invaded Goryeo for real, she couldn’t prevent it.

That’s all my 2 cents in the whole “WY betrays LK” issue.

Through that, I can see how WY loves Goryeo. To protect it, he “uses” the woman he loves – but not with the intention of causing danger to her. As for WY, his life is always in danger. And I like that seeing how she tried to save him, he hinted to her that he did the crime for sure - and he knew she would get that and get mad at him. He didn't have to do so since she did'nt know - but by that, he wanted her to not try to help him anymore and stayed out of danger when she was already busy enough with BA and ED.

  12. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally his confirmation!! I saw the tweet from Namoo Actors so it must be true

It means double gift for us: his birthday and his new work :-bd  :-bd  :-bd

P/S: Oh I wanna share this:

    http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2014/04/lee-jun-ki-cast-in-upcoming-kbs-drama.html

    1. [+1,340, -35] I really enjoyed Two Weeks but it suffered in viewer ratings because it overlapped with The Master's Sun.. So sad that he didn't win an award for it. ㅠ I hope he hits daebak with this drama!

    2. [+1,072, -31] Can't forget his performance in Two Weeks ㅠㅠㅠ I hope he gets better viewer ratings this time around and gets an award

    3. [+932, -27] Can trust his works...

    4. [+823, -23] I hope there won't be an idol in this drama..

    5. [+721, -17] Hopefully the change in agency will bring better luck for him this time.

    6. [+143, -9] Please pick a good female lead, not one who messes up his acting

    7. [+117, -4] Can't say anything mean about this hyung... from acrobatics to tumbling, tightrope walking, kick boxing, tae kwon do, he's done it all without stunt doubles. He works too hard.

    8. [+118, -7] All they need is a good female lead and they can beat out SBS!

  13. Is it official that uri Joon Gi will join Joseon Gunman or he is still in talks because I saw various different news about it?

I'd love to see him back, any project is Ok cos I trust his judgement :\"> But pls, a good female lead... not Jeon Hye Bin from the same agency pls. I don't have anything against her but, I think it's safe to say she doesn't match Joon Gi's level of acting.

  14. Finally I got Dance Dance DVD today  :x :x :x

Havne't finished watching it but the movie itself doesn't seem to have good review.

    Still, a young JJM dancer is always welcome ;;)  ;;) ;;)  ;;)

Except for movie Park vs Park (1997), which I think JJM played a very minor role, I am lucky to be able to get all of his other projects after I "discovered" him in Empress Ki. It's very interesting to watch his transformation over the year, from a rookie actor to a Baeksang winner  :P

  15. Oh my  ^:)^

I didn't know I could find a lot of his videos in dailymotion until today

Remember the clip where he sang Buyl (the OST for 20 pounds beauty)?

I found the full cut of him in that music program (he didn't just sing Buyl :x ) That user also posted a number of his shows ^_^

    http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xzd8fc_%E4%B8%AD%E5%AD%97-070918-%E6%9D%8E%E8%BF%AA%E7%9A%84%E9%9F%B3%E6%A8%82%E7%A9%BA%E9%96%93-%E6%9C%B1%E9%8E%AE%E6%A8%A1cut_shortfilms?search_algo=2   (Music Space.E35.KOR.070918 )

P/S: I am officially dead for a while after hearing him sang 3 songs. None are perfect but so passionate ^:)^  ^:)^  ^:)

  16. I found some NG of Fashion 70 last night while searching ^_^

You guys can find a number of NG clips there :

    http://www.tudou.com/programs/view/Of8mhUk8w54/

(it's the first NG, the rest can be seen at the right side of the clip)

    Love seeing his smile ^_^

Oh and one NG of Queen of the Game  :))

P.S: I zip all NG of Fashion 70s that I could found here (including all of these above, in case someone may need :) ) : https://www.mediafire.com/?qosv1uy0akha1kr
  17. I have a favour to ask...

Does anyone have NG for Fashion 70s? :)

I saw that it was shared before in the Fashion 70 thread but it was a long time ago. I only have a little bit, which was shown at the end of finale episode (aka ep 28), esp a scene where JJM danced in front of Lee Yo Won and made her laugh so hard (if anyone may need it, I will upload it :) )
