I think after both fathers calm down and resolve their old issue they will make wonderful grandpas! There’s a reason why the writer showed us how both of them are good fathers in their own ways. They’ll be sending off their smart kids to the university and will take care of their precious grandchild in a meanwhile.

This drama is so underrated among international fans but I guess not everyone likes dramas where characters are so real it feels like they’re real people living on Jeju Island and where actors don’t flash the latest fashion. The writing is exceptional and the acting is beyond phenomenal.
Just watching the legends like Kim Hye Ja, Lee Jung Eun and Lee Byung Hun in one drama gives me chills.
Just wondering… who do you think is the mystery person that keeps texting Young Ok? I really hope it’s not her secret husband who’s locked up in some mental institution…

This is so surreal seeing them singing to Jaurim 2521 song. It’s extra painful.

The first time Yijin realised this girl would be very special to him. The subtle change in Nam Joohyuk’s eyes…
And the way his whole body was acting here, he was readying himself - a moment before he said it was love for him.

Congratulations on finishing such a great drama as 25/21! This was such a great pick despite the bittersweet ending. Overall Joohyuk really made a great impression on both fans and colleagues alike.
Just in span of few days 3 people mentioned their admiration for him and called him sunbae. I’m so proud of him!

@aislingI thought, I'm not into shipping kdrama couples anymore but, this pair (NJY & KTR) is making me want to change my mind..
I don’t ship actors in real life (I’ve learned my lesson twice the hard way) but I appreciate their partnership and chemistry. I do hope to see them in another project again though With our happy ever after this time.- 1

Despite the ending we still got one of the greatest pairings in kdramaland. I’m grateful for Kim Taeri and Nam Joohyuk for bringing Heedo and Yijin to life. Taeri has nothing but good things to say about “Joohyukie”.

Day 2 after the traumatic ending. I’m still not okay.

Someone on Reddit just mentioned this Yijin’s quote and it makes me dehydrated again.
'I feel bad for Yijin, really, no matter how much he loved Heedo, he had to choose. Not between his career and Heedo. But Heedo's happiness and his. And he chose hers (x)
"I feel her time is more precious than mine. So I don't want her to waste a single moment on no good experiences. She deserves to have only the greatest experiences." - baek yijin
He let her go because he didn’t want to waste her time. He didn’t want her to wait for him endlessly. Because her time is more precious than his….. I think I just experienced a heartbreak all over again. Heedo got married and had a kid but why does it feel Yijin never married and just led his workaholic life to support his family?
If they showed us they were both happy in their current lives it’d be less painful… But those vague lingering scenes just made it look like they never truly got over each other and there was still a lot of longing.

I don’t know how to feel about the fact Heedo let her 15yo daughter read about how she made out with her ex boyfriend.
Minchae didn’t seem upset reading about her mom’s exlover, she was even impatient to know more about their story. I wonder what kind of father/husband Mr Kim is when his own daughter seems to root for his wife’s exlover.- 2

Best comment ever!... ha ha
I like reading all your posts and also the evolution. When I left yesterday, people were made and screaming. Now it seems people are strating to accept (though still frustrated). I just wish we had one more episode to really finish it all and explain the last things left unanswered.
To be honest one moment I feel like the whole world has crashed down because it hurts so much. Listening to Jaurim and replaying the scenes and seeing how their beautiful relationship progressed…. It just hurts.
Moreover when I read a post drama interview how even Kim Taeri asked the writer to change the ending and then when I watched Nam Joohyuk hardly containing his tears when he had to film “congratulations on your wedding” scene.
Then I try to cope with it with sarcasm and cynicism but just like the rest of you I still feel betrayed, heartbroken and empty.

Also is nobody talking about how that precious photo of Heedo’s on the beach went from Yijin’s possession to Heedo’s album? Did the writers make such a blatant mistake? Yijin cherished that photo so much and we never saw him returning it to her?

And kids… this is how I met NOT your father.

Even Taeri wanted Baekdo endgame and she pleaded with the writer- 5

After trying to calm down for hours…. I still can’t stop crying whenever I think about the ending. I know it’ll get better with time but right now I’m really hurting.
I know the writer chose to tell this story about nostalgia, first love and youth but the fact they never showed us Heedo’s husband and how she’s happy with him - Mr Kim will always come second for us viewers and that’s why I feel so disconnected from the ending. I wouldn’t be against the concept of two of them helping each other when they needed it but eventually parted ways because that’s realistic and that’s life.
But because of the execution as a viewer I just feel like Mr Kim isn’t important to Heedo and that she’ll always have those lingering feelings for Yijin. Not to mention that Yijin probably never married and might still be living with memories of Heedo. In the end Yijin was the one who stopped being part of the squad in order not to make things awkward for Heedo. Their love story was depicted too beautifully, too passionately for me to accept that kind of ending. I wish I could say something else about the endings but I just feel so heartbroken.

What the actual heck I just watched. I thought I was mature enough to stomach a bittersweet realistic ending but here I am crying my eyes out and feeling empty.

This must’ve been the last scene they filmed? I only see older Heedo but could older Baek Yijin be hiding in that group photo too?- 1

I don’t mind the ending where they’d reunite in their 40s after they married (or Heedo married) and divorced their spouses. It’s not very kdrama romantic but it’s still sort of a happy ending.
What bugs me HUGE time is that Heedo is played by a different actress and I don’t want to watch someone else who’s not Kim Taeri and Nam Joohyuk closing the last scene.

At least Yijin won’t die!!!
Gosh, I’m so nervous about those two last episodes.

There are only two options.
1) tvN is trolling us big time and must be laughing their butts off because of angry and panicked responses
2) tvN is releasing sad conclusion beforehand to lessen the disappointment because they already know the fans are really heartbroken
LMAO who did this?
25/21 fandom losing their minds collectively!

[Drama 2022] Our Blues, 우리들의 블루스

I didn’t expect these two last episodes to hit me this hard but I admit it freely I sobbed like crazy especially during the last scene. To me, those were the best two episodes so far. Usually you take this or that side but I genuinely felt heartbroken for both fathers and children. This is life. With all the ups and downs.
It was poignant that the reasons both fathers changed their lives was because of their children. One was struggling with gambling and the other led a thug life. But their children were the reasons they wanted to change and led the proper lives so their children could be proud of them. This pregnancy news was a major blow to everything they worked so hard for but I do believe they will overcome it as a joint family. Because their children don’t want to give up and throw their lives away - they’re merely postponing their plans and that’s just so admirable for them to be this strong at such a young age.
