Sorry gang -- the Something Special will have to wait a bit longer. I have a new work project that will be sucking up most of my waking hours for the next few days. But in the meantime, there's more news from our Busy Little Warrior! Capitalizing on all the fame playing Donghae in “Useora Donghaeya,” Ji Chang Wook appeared on 24 October at the Daejeon City Hall to be appointed as one of the Celebrity Ambassadors for the Daejeon World Cooking Competition. 97 countries have signed up for this event, which will be held from 1-12 May 2012.

He was presented with an official apron and cooking scarf, along with a plaque commemorating the event from the festival organizers. Changwook-ssi will be promoting the Competition from now until next May through various media outlets, so look forward to a commercial or two hitting our small screens in the next month or so!!

We get two gorgeous Twitter selcas out of the deal too — the first one where he’s on the train (“On my way to Daejeon for the Food World War!”) and the other in the car on the way over to City Hall (“Cold and overcast today.”) Good to see him all rested again, but oh my my, forget the food competition — HE’S the one that looks good enough to eat! RAWR!!!

I should start looking into flights to Korea soon... :wub:

Chukahamnida and ginyeomil chughahaeyo to My Precious Ji Chang Wook!! Today is the Third Anniversary of his acting debut — it was 23 October 2008 when the independent movie “Sleeping Beauty” (Seulriping Byuti/슬리핑 뷰티) premiered in South Korea. Written and directed by Lee Ha Na (not the actress of the same name), this film is both visually stunning and well-acted… but very, very disturbing due to its graphic adult themes throughout. I will not be putting up a link here for fear of incurring the Wrath of Soompi Censorship Gods…

JCW celebrated his Debut Anniversary Day by running in the Nike We Run Seoul 10K with several other celebrities, which ended up raising over $600,000 USD and 50% will be donated to various Korean charities. Pictures to follow as soon as I get them uploaded!!

Sorry, that's mostly my fault -- I've been up to my eyeballs with work and recapping WDBS over here and on another forum, and time got away from me. Now that the sageuk is finished, I can finally devote more time to this forum! Gotta have a nice place to continue my spazzing!!

But to answer your questions, the Twitter account is definitely legit as I have received tweets from him in response to my questions and posts. He's an early adopter of the technology and has been online since late 2010. Our gain, de?

And also a big fat YESSSSS!! to the shirtless photos -- one set was for a photo shoot JCW did for the July 2011 issue of Men's Health Korea magazine (I just happen to have a copy -- yum!), and the other set was for the Summer 2011 Googims sportswear catalogue (got one of those too!). JCW is also modeling for the Fall/Winter 2011 catalogue as well; as soon as I get my copy, I'll post some shots!

But my precious Changwook-ssi isn't resting very long after wrapping WDBS -- he just Tweeted he's now in Busan getting ready for a film shoot. Um, what?!?

My RSS feeds are reporting that he will be in Busan for the next 6 days filming a 30 minute "drama" video with T-ara (or Tiara, depending on what part of the world you're in) for their comeback release called "Lovey Dovey." And guess who his co-star is going to be? Cha Seung Won -- DOKKO JIN!! Commence major swoonage NOW!!

They are filming in 16 locations in and around Busan, so if anyone reading this is able to watch any of the filming... YOU SUCK!! (kidding!) The video is scheduled to be released sometime in November. This sounds pretty EPIC, so stay tuned for more news!!

Gomen ne, minasan!! I had to unexpectedly go out of town again, but I promise that's my last trip until Christmas. Promise!! So let's resurrect this forum with some gossip, ne?

JCW has been rumored to take over the lead of a new drama on Korean cable channel jTBC called "Bachelor's Vegetable Store." If he ends up taking on this role, the production would start filming in early November, with the first episode airing sometime around the first week of February 2012. (The cable shows employ a different way of filming -- they usually have all the shows completed and in the can before going on the air, as compared to the 'live-shoot' way of filming that the Big 3 Networks (KBS/MBC/SBS) currently use.)

While this is AWESOME NEWS and will keep the pretty going for another couple of months at least, I worry (with more than a vested interest) that he's not going to get enough quality rest in between wrapping WDBS and starting this new production. And is it just me, or does the plot sound a bit like "Useora Donghaeya" all over again? Meh. Don't care -- I'd watch him read the phone book from cover-to-cover if that meant more screen time!!
