I'm a great fan of LSG as an actor and as a singer. I maybe know him first as an actor than a singer from Shining Inheritance, My Girlfriend Gu Miho, The King Two Hearts and Gu Family Book I also enjoy listening to his songs. Now to know that he's dating Yoona, one of my favorite member of my favorite girl group, is really shock in a good way.I actually has been waiting to hear my girls dating for awhile now... and in 2014, 2 of them really did. tho the other one member is already pretty confirm too but still, I'm just so happy for them

I watched the full show and we can definitely guess IU straight away. If you try to watch other people episode like Kim Bumsoo, Yoon Dohyun, at least you can still have a hard time to distinguish but IU one is so easy.. especially when the mission song is The Story Only I Didnt Know. as soon as I heard IU's voice, i knew it was her. Her emotion in her song what make everything just so different lol :DI thought it could be just me because I always listen to IU so I probably can recognized her voice but when I read the article at Nate, all of them was agreeing on this too... http://news.nate.com/view/20131124n00189?mid=n1008

I read the comments and most of them was not feeling happy with the show but not because of IU but because of the show itself. first, the last 2 finale were a signed artists under agency. one is a 2Eyes group maknae and another one is Shanon. She's a member of Five Dolls, signed under CCM. netz was feeling like their agency are using IU to be on this show to promote them... well for like Shanon, it's working since she was trending on Naver #1 after that. Indirectly Five Dolls name also was at #7 or #8. secondly, they felt that among 100 people that went to the audition there must be people that could be at least more close to IU's voice but didnt get picked. thirdly, the celebrity panels really looks like reading script cause they're exaggerating their reaction too much... and the netz didnt really favor Jeon Hyunmoo's overreact MC-ing. I also didnt like his MC-ing.. he seems so force. trying to make IU more nervous when she's clearly not lol.Conclusion, most of netz was saying tonight show was definitely to show IU's ability as singer and she made new fans and lots of people acknowledge her as musician and singer hence the result the song was back on chart
I also felt that the good thing coming out from this show is definitely for IU. her name was trending on Naver, Nate and Daum. her song, The Story Only I Didnt Know is back on chartinstiz ichart:

One last thing on my complaining for the celebrity panels, only Big Star members and one of the celebrity's daughter, Sukhee manage to recognize IU's voice straight away. Sukhee is because she's a big fan of IU. Then again, a show is just a show... they just do it for entertaining anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
and one thing for sure, IU's voice is one that you cant easily imitate or try to be close to it.. she has this distinctive husky voice that only her have it. An X factor that made IU is IU. She used to say before that her voice also was one of the reason why she cant debut in girl group. Her voice is not a normal voice that can easily harmonize with other people voice hence, she's debuted as a soloist.
btw, sorry for the long rant about the show just showing some netz feedback. for me, i just like their positiveness towards IU

TRS song issue its not even being charged and the professional all saying that its not plagiarism case but she get a ton of hate.. this is when we can see that netz actually just find reason to hate her even if they know its not IU fault at all..

I saw from twitter also that K-Uaenas RT-ing, composers like Kim Hyungsuk, Big Hit Ent CEO, Bang Si hyuk and MBC Music Camp's writer Bae Soontak all come forward on their twitter to pointing out their opinion in this issue. How that in music perspective, it's different and it's not a plagiarism issue. and there are articles that being written on these feedback from these composers but as usual, it's not a popular articles... hence people just dont know or dont care... /sigh
and I also was come across with a comment at one of this article. He is a music student or something and he was quite annoyed that it's so simple when people listen to something and found that it sounds similar so it must be plagiarism. cause for them in music field, it maybe sounds similar but it's not the same song or chord. of course, normal people like us, it's hard for us to understand all the technical music terms... we may think it is same but deep down it's not... this is the person blog => Choi Jisoo

oh yeah, I just got back from NB and read the intl peeps comments on this issue. I just cant stand their irony and hypocrisy. They claimed that AKP are full of delusional people that only scream "oppars", "unnirs" etc and assuming themselves are much better cause they hang out in NB more... at certain circumstances I admit that they do have more rational minded but recently I realized most of them are just being elitist and hypocrite. They attack k-netz for being irrational yet they're doing the same thing. from the article that said IU's rude to her sunbaes, everyone was really jump into conclusion that she's rude, then the explanation article released from the PD and inetz at NB was play innocent when they were the one that no diff with knetz that jump into conclusion straight away from the 1st article... the hypocrisy seriously overwhelmed. =__=even tho, there are sensible comment from some inetz, and the one that nasty one are burying these sensible ones...

As someone who's been in a jazz band (high school for two years; second trumpet), swing/jazz may sound alike due to the fact that swing/jazz is fast, uses clonking (refers to the piano playing style) and is constructed around a big band (which has a set number of saxophone, trombone, and trumpet players), but if you break it down in chord structure and melody lines, these songs are VERY different from each other.
I listened to both and the only thing that's similar is the introduction with the drum solo (which btw is one very typically used in swing/jazz music). However, legally, plagiarism requires at least 4 bars of measure to be used, and the drum solo in IU's song lasts for only 2 bars. So legally, it's not plagiarism. Really, plagiarism is only used for melodies and the melodies of these two songs are not the same.
If anything, it would've been more believable if they thought she plagiarized a song from the Great Gatsby soundtrack cause her song is more in that direction. Humorously, her music video is also more in the styling of the Great Gatsby movie as well. Especially the ending part when it zooms out from IU on the balcony to over the city.

I wanted to say the same thing here as well. As a professional jazz musician, I've played a LOT of jazz pieces with different ensembles. Jazz composers (particularly in the Swing genre) tend to do a lot of sampling. That PARTICULAR part in both IU and Nekta's song is NOT unique to either of them and can be found in big band swing tunes all the way back to the early 30's.
Tracy • an hour ago−People who accuse IU of plagiarizing this Nekta girl needs to understand they are both sampling Ella Fitzgerald, queen of swing. Listen to some of Ella's early stuff and you will find similar riffs throughout her pieces.
The style of swing IU has in her piece dates back to the 1930s' and 1940s'. Naturally, her piece follows the style of bass and drums as big bands back in those day. Music students in university who train under classical jazz are pretty much instructed to sample riffs from these pieces and to stylize them in a modern way. (How electro jazz was born!)
Please realize that composers go through years of training to be able to put together songs of this calibre. It IU truly was plagiarizing, I would be the first one outraged because that is one of the biggest taboos in the music industry. The composers put out an explanation which made sense, yet because Netizens don't understand music theory, they brush it off as 'technical jargon' and thus a poor excuse. After listening to both songs, particularly the parts under accusation, I can most definitely say IU is NOT plagiarizing Nekta. In fact, they are both sampling a well-known swing riff that can be found in many other jazz tunes.
Credentials: Professional (paid) Saxophone player who has 6 years experience playing with a wind ensemble/jazz band.
Edited to add: I wish I could find other swing songs with the same riff to list as sources, but unfortunately my memory is not that good. I will however, email my boss who has been a jazz composer for 30+ years (he has over 100 published pieces) the video in question and ask him to name a few other songs with that particular riff and report back.

I think this is my first post in IU thread. I'm not sure. I'm not really a Uaena more like new IU fan (feels like still so far to be call as one as I also like other artist). before this, just a far fan that love MIA, Cruel Fairytale and Story that Only I didnt Know (I like her dark songs
) and just saw her as a kpop singer and not really into her since she always have this cutesy image that am not really fond of.well until that 'thing' happen, suddenly, somehow, weirdly feeling came... a wake up call... as like my-sister-need-me kind of feeling... I follow her things like a real jobless person. all days and night. search everything in korean sites from nate pann, daum telzone, bestiz etc etc etc. then, I started to listen to her songs... all her songs from all album... her own composed songs... and her songs always become a heeling songs when I was stressed... her voice... really make me calm... somehow I always amazed on how a person like her can just made a person from far away be happy with her music, songs and voice. I guess that's IU. I watch her shows... her song covers... the Heroes show that I never really finish watching cause it was quite troublesome to search the sub one and I managed to watch all episodes that's just how I fall in love with her... REALLY fall in love with her.
then in March she started YTBLSS. her Lee Soon Shin character really fit me at that time (and Lee Soon Shin share the same birth month and year with me too lol ) a new graduated person that having a hard time to find job and to settle in the new working world... as she found her part time job, I also found job too lol XD how coincidence. but yeah, my life is not complicated as her life la... XD
Today, things happen again. at first I really tried to just avoid it. I was trying to search IU's Pretty Man thing at nate and yet, today's accusation that shows... I was mad and not really feeling good about it... even her Music Core performance article top rated comments was about people sharing Nekta's Here Us video instead.. -_-I try to ignore to read other comments (I have this curious feeling that always want to read the comment part) but thankfully I managed to ignore it aside from reading the main top 3 best comments.
My intention for this posting is just to express how my sad feeling now. I saw some tweets from K-Uaenas in my TL... how most of them just keep everything down... they're mad but they were like let's just keep things down... I felt so touched seeing how they act... things are just getting better... another storm came... :'( :'( ==> this is me now as I writing this down. I never felt attached to Kpop artists before beside forSNSDand now IU :(knowing IU she definitely wont really care much about all the bad comments written by netz but as a fan, I found it's still hurtful for her... this thing come and it just give another reason for people to hate her... Definitely dont have anything to say but Be Strong to her and to all Uaenas... I definitely feel the pain now... I just hope this thing will blow over soon... she's a talented person. a beautiful inside and out.

I just finished the last episode today huhu.... quite late in watching it because of my uptight time >.<anyway, just want to share my feelings with you guys after watching the whole episodes of this drama....first of all, I'm just really really really glad that the drama have a happy ending :Dthis is the best one.... I actually was quite skeptical for the last scene.... still keep doubting whether it's just Oh Young's imagination or it's real.... lol

the plot, the beautiful cinematography and the most important thing is the chemistry and the work between Jo Insung and Song Hyegyo are just AWESOME!!!!all other actors actresses also was very well-casted ^_^this drama definitely the BEST drama of 2013 right now the emotion in this drama.... they keep making me bawling since early episodes until the last one lol )I just love everything about this drama.... This drama has found it closure. At the end, JDH is really one pitiful character. eventually all people around him left him alone even his own daughter and son. he loves them but raised them in a wrong environment. towards the end, I really admire IH character so much. tho she seems like a spoil brat, but she still know if something is wrong, then it is wrong. there's no justified for that. the way she stood up to her dad, really show how she's nothing like her dad at all. LOL when she said to CH that she's expert in finding and following people that she likes even if it takes her to the hell ㅋㅋㅋ just like how she used to follow KS around too kekekeke
HJ... the man character of this drama. I just glad that finally HJ has found her happiness. She deserves it.
This drama has bring me tears and laugh since the beginning until the end. I love it. though it does have it's own ups and downs with the whole storyline, I found that it's still a great family drama. The child actors and actresses really make this story so strong. I'm glad that I choose to start and watching this drama until the end. at first I started watching this drama not because of the adult actors but because of Kim Yoojung and I'm glad that I stayed cause Kim Jaewon, Han Jihye, Jaehee and Son Eunso performances are so well in this drama. I'm going to miss this drama. Thanks all spazzers that contribute pics, text preview, vids and all here.

I've watched the ep35 with subs at gooddrama... it's not enough that the episode was having glitch as the vid and the sound is not sync and the horrible decision by the writer making HJ as DH's daughter... WTF?! X( Totally make me pissed of so much!!!! >
dont know if I want to watch ep36 or not or just wait until next week... then again, I really want to see how KS won the drill right. urghhh... maybe I'll just skip a lot of things... these past episodes I realized that I skipped a lot of part in this drama... idk why... I still have a positive feeling in me that want the good happy ending for KS and HJ. No matter how silly and how sometimes HJ is so annoying, this girl really deserve a good happy ending for her... she has gone through a lot since she came into this world... really hope a best happy deserve ending for this drama... guess I'll just wait for it next week... -
just finished watching ep21 and 22.
personally, I dont like CH's turn into the devil... the look in his face when he decided to slap on HJ because he saw IH is watching them make me go X(and IH being the bitchy style talking down on HJ really... urghhhh me ㄱ_ㄱone thing that i like is that when CH talk with his dad and ask his dad not to pity on HJ because devil dont have any conscience in them anymore and i was like "yeah serve you right man! this is the son that you have turn into and this is still the tip of the iceberg. you have turn someone into a monster and that's your own son" :Doh yeah about CH turn to the bad side, I also agree that he's totally have chose to be on the dark side now... since he truly can be with HJ, and like before he said that HJ is the lighthouse in his life but now since, he cant have that, his life will totally be in darkness. like what Dr. Yoon Ji Hoon from Sign said, "Deep in everyone's heart there lurks a devil. Whether to release that devil into the world, is an individual decision." Seems like CH definitely has made his decision. I just felt sad for IH. hope that somehow CH will spare some conscience or feeling for her... and wont just use her as his revenge tool.
I agree with @awsparkle ^^ indeed HJ and KS is actually destined to be together... their fate really deep... i like that even their parents are related to each other somehow ^^
oh yeah, I really really really really hope writer-nim can make Il Moon a good guy. these days, I'm seriously attracted to him and YJ >.< Il Moon so handsome to be the bad guy huhuhu... and somehow adult IM is more weaker than the young IM. though young IM was also the obedient son that always follow his father instruction, somehow there's strong vibe from him but the adult IM was kinda weak... but he's still charming tho :Phope he and YJ will have a good ending >.< -
I finished this drama in 4 days last week :Dsomeone was recommended this drama to me at Ghost thread since both drama is written by the same writer. I'm glad that I actually decide to try and watch it cause I definitely didnt regret at all. it's one awesome drama!
all the actors and actresses are all so good. unlike LYH's stiff acting in Ghost, this drama have all awesome actors in it. even KAJ is quite good in here. well to me. It's good to see her a bit different in her past characters... with the good storyline, I gotta say this is indeed one great drama. no wonder they reach quite high ratings during the broadcast in korea.
one of my wish, if ever the writer will make another drama with this kind of genre, it would be good to have some cameo from this drama and Ghost ^_^I'm an officially a fan of this drama writer
