No offence just sharing,TMTSTS lead actor was offered to few famous young actors first before approaching Kim soo hyung agency to cast him as lead actor but was also turn down by KSH agency becoz certain terms ageement but KSH has read the novel he insisted he wanted King Lee Hwon role and agency accepted the offer.
TMTETS casting team approached Moon guen young first for the leading actress but her agency turn down a MASTERPIECE becoz her agency said the lead actor is not well known.
Moon chae woon was the 2nd being offered to be the lead actress but was turn down by her agency reason they does not want her to act in another saguek drama after 'The princess man' and she needs a break.
3rd is our beautiful Han Ga in aka YeonU after reading the script and she loves the story and wanted to try acting in a saguek drama therefore she accepted the offer.I love her as YeonU as YeonU character and also the future Queen she has to be mature and wise not just a flower vase to the King.Han Ga in is the best choice for YeonU/Wol role.
I believed all this are fated OR these two actresses agencies foresight are not good enough to see TMTETS is a masterpiece. KSH agency 'Key West' now make tons of money to have a famous and weighty actor like Kim Soo Hyung.
KSH mentally inmerge himself into Lee Hwon character and bring a 'fiction' character into life that was amazing his foresight was good to accept tis masterpiece and his hard work and determination brought him riches and fame overnight.I gave credits to all actors in TMTETS for doing a good job bringing tears and joy every Wed and Thurs to all TMTETS crazy fans including me.

thanks for sharing this. yes our actor and actress are indeed fated for their character. Kim Soohyun as Lee Hwon and Han Gain as Heo Yeonwoo/Wol cant picture other actor and actress for this character.

already watch ep15. waiting for the sub now but still there's quite a lot of my favorite scenes in this episode.

I think when YM hug Wol, he want to show to Hwon that he can do anything what Hwon cant. though he does know that deep in his heart he know somehow Wol/Yeonwoo wont have him in her heart but he just want to try it. he lost Yeonwoo once without even trying before, thus, he doesnt want to repeat the same thing again. I felt sad for Prince YM fate

So sad to hear about the difficulties brought about the strike. Situations like these are usually no-win deals for everybody involved. Hopefully they end it peacefully and amicably. The viewers are basically the biggest losers here.
As to the choice of Han Ga In as Yeon Woo/Wol, let us not disregard the fact that Moon/Sun has been very successful in Korea and elsewhere. I think if the show was doing poorly overall, the discussion as to casting choices would be most welcomed. But seeing the phenomenal success of the drama, I'd say the production has done a good job in casting among other things, the actors have done a good job of presenting believable characters that we can all relate to, and the director has done an awesome job of interpreting the story and giving it his own personal touch.
As to comparisons with the other actresses mentioned, I think Han Ga In fits the physical description of Yeon Woo/Wol to a T. I mean no disrespect to the beauty and talent of the other actresses, but I personally cannot imagine another Yeon Woo than Han Ga In. In addition to her physical beauty the one thing that is essential to the Yeon Woo character is that she is supposed to be mature beyond her age. She was raised as a thinking person and one who is allowed to voice her opinions. And because Han Ga In is (in reality) older as a person, she is better able to project that maturity. On a final note, I heard that a couple of those actresses mentioned were in fact offered the role, but that they had turned down the role. Thank goodness for that! There is never a guarantee that a more beautiful actress could do a better job, in the same manner that a more talented actress can be a better Yeon Woo.
The only way to enjoy the rest of this drama is to just accept the hard work of all these actors as they struggle to give their best in spite of the grueling hours of work and extreme weather conditions. The most important aspect at this point is that Han Ga In was and is the final choice for the role of Yeon Woo which she willingly accepted to do, and nothing any of us say here can ever change that.
By the way I loved seeing Kim Soo Hyun getting creamed on his birthday. Thanks for those photos!!
I'm so agreeing with you. right now, I cant see other actress that act as Yeon Woo / Wol other than Han Gain. her emotion. her eyes totally fit the role. like what HGI used to say when reporter ask her about the Young Yeonwoo character, the character speak with her eyes... and for me I think HGI did well in delivering that emotion through her eyes... I love it.

MBC Might Not Be Able to Broadcast the 17th Episode of "The Moon That Embraces The Sun" On Schedule
Although the recent affair caused by the MBC staffs does not affect the broadcast of the popular drama "The Moon That Embraces The Sun."
However, due to the broadcast of the FIFA preliminary matches (Korea versus Kuwait) on the 29th of February (same day as the day TMTETS ep17 airs) at 8pm KST, TMTETS 'might not' be able to be broadcasted. Besides the popular drama "The Moon That Embraces The Sun", "High Kick"'s broadcast schedule is also affected
There are plans to air both episode 17 and 18 together on the 1st of March but the final decision has not been made yet.

just finished watching Ep14 with subs
I've been watch ep14, 3 times now. and everytime I watch it, the scene of after Hwon meeting Wol in the prison. when he blaming himself again for not doing much for Wol and cried to Woon always make me tears up
it just so touching seeing how helpless he is... T_T
I love seeing how eventually Shaman Jang cant interfere more in Yeonwoo and Hwon fate.

my favorite scene would be the time when Hwon visit Wol in prison.
they want to protect each other and end up their heart broke to pieces... I cried so much watching this scene...
when he walk out from the prison and when he cried, I cried too... it's so touching... he felt so helpless... just like when Yeonwoo was kick out from the palace.
the awesome performance from Han Gain at the last scene... GAHHHH!!!!! I want to scream!!!! she has been one of my fave actress since Witch Yoohee though her acting was sometimes bland but she's definitely prove that she's one good actress with her "YeonWoo's regaining memories" scene last night. Her pain when she cried and scream having being lost for 8 years all this while... it really strikes me. OMG!!!! I just cant wait to see the ep15 now. since the real queen is back now
and at the scene when Wol dream of meeting little Yeon Woo, it does kinda give me a chill

Ah, I feel quite sad that French journalists, or even French netizens calls them the second Pussycat Dolls since both groups are quite different.
For those who don't speak French, a lot of people who don't know SNSD insult them on Facebook or Twitter since yesterday. Some comments are almost racist. As a Sone I feel extremely hurt, not because of the fact that some people hate their songs, everyone is free to like them or not. But really, some comments are extremely insulting, judging on only 1 performance. Some people even said "They will be famous for only few months, then everyone will forget them". It's kind of ironical since SNSD is a 2007 group.
I didn't even bother to answer these comments, because well, haters gonna hate ^^ But I was quite amazed, because even Kpop fans from other fandoms united with F-Sone to defend the girls.
the comments sure almost the same like when these girls didnt even debut yet and people already doubt about them.
for them to say that these girls will eventually be famous is already great
like always haters gonna hate. it just a matter of time for that haters to turn into fans someday >_<

Watching the girls performing in 2 big shows in US, really make me proud. though the path that they take is somehow bring a lot of doubt to the fans and to all kpop fans in general, it still worth. the fans are still there no matter what. reading from the fanaccount of sones that didnt get the chance to be the lucky 300 make me really proud to be in this fandom....

TO THEM, TO US, FOR SNSDAs a sone you’ll probably hear a lot of fan accounts about how other sones met SNSD at the fansign today. But I wanted to shed some light on the amazing sones that don’t have that kind of story for you today.
For the Best Buy fansign people started lining up at midnight, maybe even earlier. By 6am there were already over a thousand sones waiting in line for 300 bracelets. In the end 700+ were sent away.
At 4pm the entrance to Best Buy was already packed with around a thousand sones. So packed and hectic SNSD couldn’t even get off their bus because of the entrance being blocked. They had to find another entrance to get into Best Buy.
By 6pm the 300 with bracelets already went in Best Buy but over a thousand sones didn’t give up and still stood in line.
Even at 7pm people continued to line up.
There was probably no hope for these sones to see the girls but we still waited. By 7:45 Best Buy decided to let some non bracelet sones in but closed it off at 8pm.
We still didn’t give up at 8. Even when the security was telling us we were wasting our time. We told them that they were still in there and we still have hope.
With one look this may look like a rage rant or me being butt hurt but we did show certain people a few things about sones.
To them, it may be stupid to stand for over 4 hours even though the chances to getting to meet SNSD personally was less than 1%. But you know what? We showed you our love and support for SNSD to wait that long outside in 30 degree weather holding on the tiny thread of hope and using it as our strength.
To us, it might have been a mistake that some didn’t line up earlier or couldn’t line up earlier. But NO ONE can say we were not dedicated, we knew our chances to get in was slim, hell we knew that we might not be able to see them at all. Even with that knowledge we were unwavering, just like our love and support for them.
For SNSD, we showed Interscope not to underestimate our numbers. We showed those security guards they weren’t just some unknown girl group and their fans can cause whole sidewalk to be blocked out (unintentionally) on one of the busiest streets in NY. Most of all we showed SNSD that their sones are here and that we love them no matter what. Even if we had to stand in the cold for hours just hoping.
Even though me and other sones couldn’t see them. For this I was proud. Proud to be able to tell SNSD that I love them even though I didn’t get to see them. Actions do speak louder than words.
This pride is all I got today. This pride of the sones who couldn’t get in today, will never be taken away.

who knows cause even HGI is wearing normal clothes, her hairdo is for her character. from Yoojung's interview on her last filming, she said the child actors will somehow make an appearance in the future as the adult characters still bound with the child characters. i dont know if it will be just a mere flash back or new scene. we can still hope though.

this drama indeed have it's magical/black magic things going on. with all the curses on YW, and Hwon's chest pain when he met with Bokyung (that's probably because of the black magic that Bokyung's father ask the state shaman to do to HW) for his before bad health was probably because he's away from his Moon
I really hate myself for watching episodes 7 and 8 so early in the week OTL.

It's official, I am completely in love with this drama. How do I know?
1) Everytime I look at the sun or moon, I think of Hwon and Yeon Woo (Wol).
2) This is really sad: but sometimes I absentmindedly speak in OLD formal language to my family (like orabeoni) -- my mom looked at me like I was crazy =_=;
3) When it snows here, I always imagine Hyung Sun fanning out all the flower petals ^^
4) I start to break down when it rains (soft/misty rain) -- my mom thinks I'm clinically depressed.
5) I push all my work/studies aside in the far left of my desk and get ready to watch an episode.
6) I dig up all videos of TMTETS, whether it's behind the scenes or interviews
7) Talk to my friends about it and I'm the one who gets excited and starts freaking out.
8) I don't see the age difference between Han Ga In and Kim Soo Hyun. All I see are two people who love each other so much.
9) My blood pressure goes up and I feel an adrenaline rush every time an episode ends.
10) When my grandma tries to find the drama on some korean site, I say, "page 4, 3rd row on the far right." Grandma: o_O
11) Listen to the OSTs every single day. I also listen to it before I sleep.

(ie: We Got Married: I've been through this before in 2010 and it's frustrating)MoonSun totally not like other Sageuk cause I'm definitely not a sageuk drama fan. yet the story line, the whole magically one true first love that last totally hooked me up right away. How innocent the child actors portray of being in love
indeed why this drama gain a lot of ratings cause they definitely deserve it. it's beyond awesome

as a big snsd fan, i was really eager to watch wild romance in the beginning...and after i watch the first episode till current one, i obviously enjoy it..BUT as much as i love snsd soo much and i definitely excited to watch jessica in this drama, i think it is unfair/inappropriate for the fans/viewers to watch only jessica's part in the youtube..you guys won't feel the fun when watching this drama anymore...wild romance is definitely an interesting drama and it is soo funny if you watch it from the first episode..i've read a lot of comments in yt saying that they don't understand the story...of course you won't understand it when you only watch certain parts which only when jessica appeared...those parts not really tell the whole story...
Sones, if you really want to support our girls especially jessica as a newbie actress, please watch the drama from the first episode or at least watch the whole today's episode, not the cut one..i feel soo sad when the fans just take this drama only for granted..we have soo many great actors and actresses like LDW and LSY in this drama who work so hard to entertain the viewers...i don't mind about the rating but please enjoy this drama like you enjoy watching any snsd shows/dramas..please be fair to others..

I also am big fan of soshi and I actually anticipate to watch this drama even before they announce Jessica going to be on it because the leads are LDW and LSY, two great actor actress. indeed everyone have their own preference on a drama some people will like it and some people may not (the all-time favorite drama Secret Garden also some people didnt like it). it's kinda sad that people just watch this drama because of Jessica cause this drama is actually good. the bad rating is actually not because the drama is bad, it's just because the other dramas is great and WR compete with this one great sageuk drama and recently koreans are in deep sageuk drama fever so it's understandable. WR still got their loyal fans that follow this drama. at least this drama didnt get 1 / 2% rating like Playful Kiss got before and that's much worse. I'm just glad that Jessica got a character that kinda similar to her personality. she did a great job

David Letterman show seeks Girls’ Generation’s guest appearance for being interesting and unique
Girls’ Generation are highly regarded by the music producer for American TV Network, CBS’s popular talk show ‘Late Show with David Letterman’.
SM Entertainment revealed a portion of the email received from the music producer of ‘Late Show with David Letterman’, Sheryl Zelikson, confirming Girls’ Generation’s appearance on the show.
According to the email, producer Sheryl Zelikson said, “We thought of Girls’ Generation as a very interesting and unique group and thus, we decided to invite them on the show. We are very happy that Girls’ Generation have agreed to come on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ as their debut appearance on an American talkshow.”
Girls’ Generation are scheduled to appear on ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ on January 31st. On the show, the girls will be performing the title song of their 3rd album ‘The Boys’, which was released worldwide in October last year.
Besides the famous CBS talk show, Girls’ Generation will also be appearing on ABC’s morning talk show ‘Live! with Kelly’, on February 1st along with the famous pop star Jennifer Lopez. i love seeing Jessica's first acting.. though it didnt show that much, but it sure left a deep impression and affect the other characters... indeed it didnt get quite a good response from the followers of the drama since her character definitely the 3rd wheel of the lead actor and actress, as a fan, she definitely spreading her wings to a new area which is acting. The way this thread moves so fast itself is a testament to how interesting WR is at least for international fans. 6. 2 is cruel! The ajhummas, I guess, are all busy watching MES. Anyway, hope this becomes like SKKS which got bad ratings but was such a celebrated drama otherwise and helped the careers of all the stars. I hope WR also gets its due recognition, maybe not through ratings, but through other means.
Loved reading everybody's thoughts. I love how MY is becoming more n more sensitive to EJ. He will take his time to realise he has another girl as his destiny now. I mean, it must seem to him a boon from heaven to get back his ex whom he loved so dearly before and still love. So he will take his time figuring things out. But I am so glad EJ chose to confess her feelings. It is better to get it out of the way than suffer bcoz MY does not have a clue to her feelings. I always appreciate it when heroines choose to confess their feelings.

I was skeptical to post this but I know there are people who wants to know what will happen and there are those who would like to kill me after this post ㅠㅠ
I'll skip those that Blue already summarized. I just skimmed the book because I was dying of curiosity already. I still haven't read the second book because I still haven't purchased it yet but I looked for the summary on naver.

-Wol's last day in the palace and Hwon really wanted to know who's curing him so he pretended to drink the tea but coughed it out. He pretended to be asleep and Woon was standing on guard outside. Wol came into the room and surprised that Hwon moved and grabbed her ankle. Hwon called out his servants to get as many candles as they can because he wanted to see Wol's face clearly. He was happy when he became sure that he wasn't dreaming, that he wasn't seeing a ghost and definitely not hallucinating.
-Hwon pretended to be still sick so he can still have Wol beside him. He calls her everytime he misses her. For some reason Wol reminds him of Yeonwoo.
-They took a walk one night and Hwon ordered his servants including Woon to step back. Hwon grabbed Wol and ran away and hid in different buildings (when I was reading this I was really really giddy inside ahaha I can imagine KimSoohyun).
-Hwon told Wol about a girl he once loved and cried.
(This part is not clear because the description was rather confusing to me but I think they kissed?)-Since Wol reminds Hwon of Yeonwoo he became in doubt about Yeonwoo's death because it was all sudden. He started investigating.
-Hwon personally went to Seongsucheong and met Nokyung. He asked how Wol became a shaman. Nokyung said that she found her on the street and that she had no idea what the child's background was.
-Again this made me confused..Wol wanted to go back to her family and Seol knows that she gained back her memory. Wol said that it looks like they're not the only ones that were investigating Seongsucheong but also Hwon was. Seol said that if Hwon can gather more evidence Wol can go back home. Wol said if she's found out, her past life as Yeonwoo will be found out as well.
-Woon was scared that Yeonwoo, the girl Hwon loves was the same person that he likes which was Wol. He wished that Wol's a different person, just a shaman.
-Minhwa finally go what she always wanted which was to share a night with Yeom (this really made me a bit annoyed because she was insisting herself and doesn't even think of what she did to Yeonwoo.)
-Woon's a son of a concubine.
The summary I read on naver.
-Hwon finally found out that Yeonwoo's alive and all the secrets have been found out.
-Yeom told Minhwa to confess what she did to Hwon.
-Minhwa became a slave to pay for what she did but I think she still had Yeom by her side.
-Yangmyung still did everything for his brother Hwon though he was hurting.
-Bokyung who didn't receive Hwon's love commited suicide.
-Both evil granny and Yoon daehyung were punished by drinking poison. (I think this was the punishment for those who live in the palace)
-Yangmyung died during a sword fight with Yoon daehyung's people.
-Yeonwoo got back her position as Hwon's Queen and they had a child.
I still have to read the second book to be sure with what I've read. Please forgive me with this post.

He took it like a good sport, so let's stop criticizing the adult actors.
And honestly, we only saw THIRTY MINUTES of the adult actors and it's not fair to criticize them based on those thirty minutes..
All these actors got their parts because the director and staff saw that they were fit for their roles.
These are the actors who are going to lead the rest of the drama, so no matter how wonderful the children were, we should support the older actors throughout the rest of the drama.

Indeed these adult actors are chose for a reason. definitely. their appearance are just a mere 30 minutes. they've got a lot to show us just yet. we shouldnt have judge them yet just based on the age-wise.
just like Han Gain. I was kinda a bit worried to see her as Yeon Woo but then ep7 preview definitely prove me wrong.
Han Gain definitely one great actress after I watched her in Terms of Endearment (2004) drama. though Witch Yoohee didnt challenged her that much but in her before drama, definitely prove that she's indeed one great actress and from the latest preview itself, she prove herself again
I love seeing in the preview when HGI broke to tears... though she may lost her memories, the feeling is still there and that feeling definitely the one that will bring her back to her King, Lee Hwon
and when Lee Hwon pull her to his side at the last part of the preview, i just go.... awwwww.....
he felt something about her though he didnt know who she is. she also felt the same feeling that make she cried when she saw him... I just love these kind of things in drama

wow so much to track back... got almost 10+ pages I just backtracked. Fuuuhhhhh~ just finished all of it.
Ep16 definitely show a great intense acting from all actors and actresses especially from Kim Soohyun and Kim Minseo.
I just love Minseo's acting as she's going nuts. well being a place where she's not belong to. it definitely haunting her...
