  1. I love all episodes so far. On top of every good aspects you all have shared, I'd like to add that I like the directing style too. I've never watched the PD's and writer's works before, so I didn't have any expectation.

I particularly like how they use a lot of metaphors both verbally through the script and visually through the cinematography. If you remember the final scene in eps 3 when HJ put on her missing shoes that DS has found, all lights in the house turned on, perhaps symbolising something sparked inside HJ's heart. Then in eps 4, when DS hold HJ's cheek, the camera shot a scene when the ice inside the glass melts. Since the beginning, we learned that HJ keeps a distance with people around her. She puts up a wall around her. Maybe the melting ice symbolises that her hearts starts melting. She starts breaking down her wall. Especially for DS.

During the hedgehog scene, when the little girl came to see it, she told HJ that people could form a bond with the hedgehog, and once they do, the hedgehog would lay down its spines. Then in the scene when the lights in HJ's house were off, DS told HJ that she resembles the hedgehog as they're both spiky. So maybe the hedgehog really symbolises HJ, spiky, keeping a distance, not letting everyone else getting close to her. But once someone can form a bond with her, she will lay down her spines. But in the scene with the little girl, there's a line where the little girl said "it's still nice to make a bond while it's here". Is it a way to tell us that at some point during the drama HJ and DS will be apart?

Or maybe I was reading too much into all of these and making up nonsense :joy:

Other things I want to note is about the child connection trope. It's a cliche, but I found the final scene in eps 1 sweet and poignant. DS' grandpa took a picture of HJ and her parents, which was perhaps one of HJ's last sweet memories with her mom. Then, after taking the picture, grandpa was inspired to take a studio photo with DS, which then becomes a precious memory for DS too. Lets see if their past connection would be more than that encounter in the beach.

On second male lead, I actually like Lee Sang Yi. I hope the drama wont turn into such an annoying triangle love story where DS and Sang Yi's character would become each other's nemesis. Not seeing their funny bromance will be such a missed opportunity.

Oops sorry my post's getting too long. Anyway, it's a fun drama to watch. Can't wait for next episodes.

  2. Hi it's been a while I haven't visited this forum. I'm so happy with Seonho's achievements now: Homcha is getting excellent rating, a song release, never ending CF, and a movie debut?! Hope there will be confirmation soon about the movie offer. But perhaps we won't be getting any confirmation until toward the end of Homcha.

I'm glad that Homcha has been getting good rating, 8,7% the highest yet after only 4 eps in. Seonho must feel so happy and relieved. I remember in one of 2D1N episodes, he questioned himself and worried whether his performance in SU and 2D1N were good enough. I also remember that he blamed himself when 2D1N rating was declining sometime last year. In one of the episodes, he shared that he called Seyoon about it. I wish he had gained more confidence during Homcha shooting and doesn't have to be worried much about the rating. I hope the fans' supports have shown and convinced him that his skill and performance are excellent.

  3. It's been a while I haven't visited this forum. Thank you @kjmcthfor posting updates here.

Time flies and it's September already. In a couple of months I can't wait to see what the 2nd anniversary project would be. They all can sing, and with Seonho and Seyoon's recent song release, they are all practically singers/musicians now. Hopefully they will release a song and an MV as a group for the 2nd anniv project.

  4. Hi everyone. It's been a while I haven't visited this forum.

I like how the members are close to and comfortable with each other now and they've become funnier and wittier. Especially Jongmin. He's always funny and enthusiastic, but I feel that since he's opening up to other members, his energy level and enthusiasm in interacting with other members and playing the missions have increased. His laughter and comments always crack me up.

Now I'm looking forward to their Feel the Rhytm of Korea video.

Anyway I went to this forum because I know I will find like-minded people here. I just saw another tweet of a toxic anti. These antis are getting on my nerves. I hope they would just focus on their fave and not drag seonho (and now they're even dragging YoonA ) everytime seonho has a new promo or event. I just hate them.

It's okay, we can just ignore them and focus on supporting Seonho. Let his achievements speak for itself :D.

    Haters everywhere. No surprise.

Seonho's breakthrough through Han Jipyeong is quite interesting. While there are many many people fall for this character, it's also true that the character is quite controversial and polarizing. Most viewers would either love him or resent him. It's unfortunate that some people are immature and cannot differentiate between the character from the actor, hence disliking Seonho because they don't like Jipyeong character.

    Se-yoon is so caring

Absolutely agree. I feel like Seyoon is a bit underappreciated (at least in my circles on social media) as most people would focus on the other members, especially Seonho recently. But I think Seyoon plays significant part in carrying the show.

I remember in the second episode, when he and Jongmin had to go to work, Jongmin jokingly told Seyoon that it's Seyoon's fault if the show fails because Seyoon is the comedian. I'm sure it put a lot of pressure on his shoulder. Since then, I kinda expected Seyoon would dominate the scenes, like Jongmin said he's the comedian after all.

But along the way I notice that Seyoon really knows how to put himself in the dynamic with the other members. There are times when he step up and be in the front, but there are other times when he just throws the bait for the other members to catch hence letting the other members to shine. And when I watched the Know Yourself Special, when their drawings were analysed by an art theurapist, Seyoon's part was really heartwarming.

New sneak peak for tomorrow - Amazing Sat.

Has anyone watched Seonho's first appearance on Amazing Saturday last year? I only watched some clips and notice the difference between his first appearance last year and his second appearance now.  At least from what I observe from the previews, he was shy and reserved last year, while he looks way more confident now. I'm glad that his confidence has grown over the past year.

His success in portraying Han Ji Pyeong must have played a significant part in boosting his confidence. But I think it's also because 2D1N has become his personal Sandbox in many ways. It's an environment that pushed him to leave his comfort zone and grow. It's also an environment where he meets fellow members and staff who are supportive to him and hence create a relatively safe environment for him to come out of his shell.  I'm aware that him being on the show at some point might be deemed as a hindrance to his acting career, but I personally wish that he would just stay in the show for a long time.

BTW, I'm so proud he received the Variety Rookie Award. Not many actors receive both rookie award in acting and entertainment.

I just watched episode 53 and could not hold my laughter. Both teams were so funny! The allowance game is unfair IMHO, with Incheon Team had to do their game on an extreme condition. The result is totally funny, so I guessed all their trouble was worth the while.

Can't wait to see the groups' presentations!

I agree! I really enjoy the Feel the Ryhtym of Korea Special. Both teams are funny in different ways. I think it was smart of Seyoon to pick Junghoon and Ravi in his team. It puts a nice balance in Gyeongju team, as Junghoon is very serious, Ravi is being the maknae Ravi and Seyoon can nicely balance both of them. On the other team, all three of them seem to be on the same frequency since the beginning.

I also like their choices. Both Gyeongju and Incheon are equally interesting in different ways. For me personally as a non-Korean, I would be more interested to visit Gyeongju, but I think the Incheon team would have a funnier presentation as we can see from all the dances they performed .

Is anyone here, by any chance, from Indonesia? I'm so proud when they show the batik mask sent by some Indonesian fans. Thank you, fellow Indonesian fans. I wish I could participate.

Lastly, I hope they'll win some awards at the KBS Entertainment Awards tonight!

I agree with you. Everytime I read his interviews, I think to myself that he'd be someone I'd have fun to have conversation with, someone who thinks deep, reflective, and empathetic like you said.

And when we think we couldn'd fall even deeper into his dimples...

He cares about the environment too.

I don't know what is the writer's thinking if indeed NDS is the ML. It almost seems like it's HJP and NDS the SL.

To be honest I've stopped watching the drama since eps 12. I just can't stand with how the writer builds the story and the characters, especially on Jipyeong's part. And don't get me started with the 3-year time jump.

    On 12/1/2020 at 3:12 PM, ixxdhx81 said:

I bet the production team and writer didn't see all those KSH "great things" coming.

I'm guessing the writer initially intended for Jipyeong to be an antagonist. This way, whatever the main lead does can be justified (including that immature and totally unprofessional punching scene). I don't know if it was unintentional or not, Jipyeong turns out to be a charming character, with back story with grandma and whatnot, and drew the viewers' attention. I remember reading in one of the interviews, since this drama is targeted for youth, Seonho proposed to the PD and writer to tone Jipyeong's character down a bit to make it more fun and youthful. So he implied that the character was initially developed differently. Hats off for his instinct, as expected from a veteran theater actor. It turned out very well.

Anyway, it's not supposed to be the thread for the drama. So I'll stop here. Kudos to Kim Seon Ho for bringing Jipyeong to life and stealing many many viewers' heart.

  14. Moon Se Yoon Jokes About Kim Seon Ho Becoming Too Popular On “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4”

On the November 22 episode of KBS’s “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” Moon Se Yoon and Kim Seon Ho went to see the sunrise together.

    2-days-1-night-season-4-kim-seon-ho-moon

After getting up at dawn and climbing to their destination, Kim Seon Ho asked Moon Se Yoon if he was going to make a wish while they waited for the sun to rise. Moon Se Yoon said, “Of course. I wish for the safety and happiness of the ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ members, the production staff, and all our families.”

He also mentioned the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic by saying, “We had to wear masks on the way up, right? I wish that we will all be able to take off our masks soon, and talk to each other comfortably while seeing each other’s faces again.

Kim Seon Ho said, “I wish that next year, the ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ members will write letters to each other again. Because that means that we’ll be together for a long time.”

Moon Se Yoon was touched by Kim Seon Ho’s obvious affection for the show, but took Kim Seon Ho aback by quipping, “These days, because your drama is doing so well, I pray that you won’t become too big a star.”

Since the warm atmosphere was broken, Kim Seon Ho commented, “This is the worst.” But Moon Se Yoon joked, “If you become too big a star, then it will feel uncomfortable. I want to be able to keep snoring and be myself with you without feeling uncomfortable. Instead, I would rather you become an actor who will have a steady career for 50 years,” moving Kim Seon Ho with his final words.

Kim Seon Ho is currently starring in the tvN drama “Start-Up” with Suzy, Nam Joo Hyuk, and Kang Han Na.

According to Park Ho San (one of the casts) instagram post, the team already met for practice. But no Seonho in the pic he posted. Think he'll be joining them after wrapping up start-up shooting or he could do it simultaneously just like he did with kiss spider woman - he joined the team little bit late because two cops drama shooting. Idk about Seonho schedule for start-up, but someone said the 2 main lead's last filming will be on November 20th.

It is a two-person play about two detectives who are trying to pin the blame for a cruel murder case on an 18-year-old boy.

I'm proud that even after he's getting more popular, he still chooses a theater play for his next project. He doesn't forget his root, where he came from.
