    This show should be on Netflix or Amazon Prime, I think for audiences in America to watch.


    So, my concern that the show is Wuxia but not enough action is not as disappointing as I thought before.


    Mainly the fact that it has Chinese tropes as I said earlier, and Wuxia action fight is nothing like the old school Wuxia basically these are my main gripes with this show, but at the end of the day can anyone name a better modern Wuxia series to me? Don't think it exists, so good on this show. This ONE is probably the BEST we have in this genre today.

    see how many of them use title such as "Love" ?

    i really like it, the story is so wuxia classic, i dont like wuxia that focus too much on romance like nowadays, it's why i dropped Who Rules The World. 

    so if you like classic wuxia, then this is for you, but if you are a new generation person who prefer love story, this is not for you as you wont find many romantic scene or love story, each episodes had a fight scene (except ep 17, 18 that i complained above).

    and from what i heard, Wen Rui An usually made a sad ending story, a title like The Four Constables considered a rare case.  

    after this Heroes, i dont know how long i will wait for something like this, perhaps The Young flyingfox.

    Synopsis:

    During the Northern Song dynasty, Qiao Feng, the leader of the Beggars' Sect, was a heroic and chivalrous man who was respected by the whole martial arts world. But he was suddenly accused of being a Khitan, which made him isolated by friends and allies. On his journey to find out about his origin and enemies, Qiao Feng met Azhu the maid from Murong family, and they fell for each other. The two went together through events in Juxian Manor, Yanmen Pass, and the Mirror Lake - until Qiao walked into a deadly trap, and the mastermind behind his troubles was revealed.

     

    Side note:

    Donnie Yen has stated that one of the problems with adapting wuxia is that the genre features many novels and fictional heroes, but lacks a unified universe. His ambition, therefore, is to build a Chinese wuxia universe, using Qiao Feng's story as a franchise starter in order to promote the Chinese wuxia spirit. In the future, the character may also meet other classic wuxia heroes in the universe, just like "The Avengers" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
