i still can't imagine JY being one of the bad guys... it's so disappointing that the character whom we have trusted for SH's care and whom we have thought to be the one to defend SH was actually the one who would bring her down... anyhow, we still don't know the whole story so we just have to wait for the next episode in order to understand all these...
actually i dun see JY turning evil at all. i agree he told SH his plans to sell HAD if ever he assumed her role in an attempt to draw out the best from her cuz she would never wanna let HAD go. and JY has yet to respond to the clan elders whether he would accept the role; the latter offered the role to JY which he rejected flatly and assertively then i believe they mentioned they have to consider adopted children instead and that's when JY decided maybe he should re-consider in order to protect SH. when ep10 ended, he still hasn't decided but the clan elders did tell SH that they offered JY the role. also JY mentioned to HR how tough a period SH is going thru even saying how un-lucky she is to have such a role. so he fully emphathises SH and the whole weight that's on her all this while.

just caught ep 9 & 10.
although LJH is not the best actor around, i did feel for the plight of the DG he portrayed and i was bawling my eyes out in the 2nd half of ep10.
as much as many things are going wrong for SH, EVERYTHING is going against DG and he's stuck in between his 2 greatest loves at the moment
- his grandpa or SH.......and he can't take a step either way *sigh*
i feel so bad for him, poor thing! *more tissues please*
i was sitting on the fence about CM but ep10 changed my mind.
gosh! for chummy cousins who grew up together, he sure doesn't give a hue for his beloved hyung when it comes down to the girl he wants.
he's reckless, lacking-integrity and selfish!
when will this guy realize that emptying SH's heart of DG doesn't mean he can fill in the gap?!!!!!!
but i'm still secretly hoping that he'll be the surprise pawn that will turn the game around in the end, it'll be his only redeeming grace.
i can only trust in the writers now that the harder the fall, the sweeter the ending is for DG!

having just watched ep7&8, the cross dressing didn't come out too badly cuz it was a tender moment -
DG was clearly upset about his grandpa's plight and SH noticed his mood was down
she's beginning to take notice of DG....hehe!
more of such moments make a good drama cuz it makes one emote
but the problem with this drama is there's not enough of these scenes
a rightful balance would make this drama a lot better received
some corny/wishy-washy scenes can be accepted but more of the romantic/emotive scenes please!

so did anyone answer the question why grandpa favors DG over CM?
is the grandpa CM's paternal grandpa? he is DG's paternal grandpa, right?
grandpa seems prejudiced against CM's mum -
in ep5 when they were discussing how the clan is objecting to the use of HAD for filming,
he seems to look down on CM's mum because of her humble background?

Jo unni, thanks so much for giving your feedback on this! I haven't had the chance to see this episode yet, what with Spring Break over and everything..
It's sad to hear that Episode 7 didn't deliver as well as we'd hoped. I don't think I'd go as far as to say that I'd give this up, considering it's one of the few I'm still desperately holding onto, but it's depressing that the hype for the DG-SH romance is letting down. Cross-dressing? Draggy sappy? NO WAY!!! What about the kissing scene? What was the deal with that? i haven't seen ep7 either but i guess it was all LDH's playful response to the situation in that interview.....
o there wasn't any sofa scene nor kiss whatsoever
but i'm not disappointed in just that alone....
i had high hopes for LJH - he's such a great singer and i really wanted him to get a crack at acting too
he's been given rather flimsy roles in the past (Billie Jean etc) so other than Wonderful Life, i can't say he's proven himself in this arena
i so wanted him to be successful here with LDH, i wanted to see his full range of emotions and how he would flesh out the character he portrays
but given such a script....it seems so unlikely and far-fetched now *sigh*

Done with Ep 7.. some comments on the ep...
The PDs really gotta get the love/romance thingy going on between the leads, because so far there hasn't been any indication of SH falling for DG yet.
same wish, jo! they're losing in the rating game cuz the plot started off real well but it's watered down a whole lot now
same for the romance factor, if they dun give us more of DG & SH, it'll be their downfall
and having DG & CM cross-dressing is just disgusting, not my cup of tea!
with so many other dramas contending for my time, this might be the easiest one to drop off my list..... if not for LeeJiHoon *sigh*

Though DK may not be experience in love, but that doesn't mean he will lose out to CM.......there are so many dramas that shows experience in love is not important....those who has less experience usually win due to their innocent and genuine attitude.....whereas for the more experienced or flirtatious type, even when they are serious later, they already have a 'bad record', so the gals usually don't trust them....hehehe
right on! in fact, the more naive he is, the cuter he is! i think SH is equally unequipped with love knowledge hence all the more anticipation this couple generates!
ep7 is on tonite! from the preview i read, i think most of the action is gonna take place at hwa ahn dang and i dun see any sofa around there?!?!
so although they'll (DG & SH) be sharing some tender moments, i hardly think there'll be any genuine kiss as predicted by LeeDaHae earlier hehe!
whatever the case, i'll be looking out for sofa! haha!

yes, i'm from singapore and i have SmartTV so i recorded ep1 last week cuz i'm not awake at 3am!
actually ep1 was shown on 4AprWed 3am on KBS World Channel 100 on Starhub
so i'm expecting ep2 to be on 10AprTue 3am and ep3 to be on 11AprWed 3am
and also repeat episodes - ep1 on 9AprMon 9pm and ep2 on 10AprTue 9pm
let's see if this is correct this week.....

For singapore fans, it's 9pm, starting from this coming monday(9th April)...it will be show on monday & tuesday.....if you are not able to watch the 9pm timeslot, it will be repeated at 3am...
Wah!!!i'm going to get my family to watch this man...hehehehe....
as far as i'm aware of, dramas shown on this channel will have english subtitle..........
actually ep1 already started last tue at 3am so i believe the 3am slots are episodes one week ahead of the 9pm slots.

Yeah, I'm also anticipating that kiss in episode 7. Did it show up in the previews? Hmm. Well, maybe they wanted it as a sort of "surprise," although LDH already gave it away in an interview. Well, I'm anticipating it... YES!!!!
Though, I'll bet it'll probably be a "cheesy" kiss, you know what I mean? Not exactly the most passionate or lovely kiss... but, I will most definitely be anticipating it. :]
actually i had my doubts after watching that interview in Entertainment Relay....
either LJH really didn't read his scripts or
LDH was just making it up to go along with LJH's pretense of being upset at HSJ for getting kissing scenes first
but LDH was rather specific about being pushed down onto a sofa for the kiss etc
unless she's really good at making things up on the spot and yet keeping a straight face
is she usually a playful character in real life?
or it could be a figment of someone's imagination too!!
i dun really know what to make of it......but all this anticipation is fun too!

u know in ep5 Dong-Gyu's fantasy scene of aegisshi taking a bath, she's wearing a transparent robe in the tub.....
but actually she's not wearing it (as seen in the next scene hehe!)!
it just goes to show that DG's such a straight dorky guy but so caring and charming!
it's true the plot is feather-light and the dialogues rather airy but lovey-dovey scenes between the leads make it up for me....
for the real substance & character acting i've still got Thank You! hehe!

hahaha!!!! firewood chopping became a stripping show and that Jeong-Sook is just adding oil to fire with all her exclamations!
u know they have a habit of skipping some scenes from the previews in the actual episode but i may have missed them myself maybe?
eg. ep3 preview at end of ep2 shows SH calling her dog by the name of DK....did that get edited out in ep3 itself?
eg. i dunno which preview i saw where it shows SH touching CM's hair by the pond then i thot DK saw them then turn away? (but i can't locate this anywhere now?)

Yup that's about all the contact i remember after that i dont recall. I think he talked to JS once. Then i think JS has plans of meeting up with the dad right? hmmm.. ic.. i would understand the brother, but i wish he told them straight off abotu that.
i think in the beginning episodes when JS's husband came back from his hiding cuz he owed money, JS thot of asking her dad for the money
so she went to one of the dad's old friend asking how to contact her dad. that friend told the dad that JS was looking for him
so he did try to call home but he hung up when JS's mum answered the call.
then subsequently i forgot who called who but JS and her dad met up at a coffee shop and angry words were said and it didn't end well at all
i really wish there were more scenes of TS and JY......just not enuf of them for me *sigh*

did CM give a reason why he likes SH so much. it feels like it came out of nowhere. like why is he so into her?? even in the beginning when he was with SH half brother, he wanted to meet her and pick her up from the bus station, when it seems like he's never even heard about her or her bro didn't say anything about her. why is that? don't get me wrong, i love this character, but he seems to go for SH just cause she's different from all the other girls he knows.
i think CM's character is a playboy in general so his initial interest in SH is that
- she's 1st/premiur daughter in a clan
- she's Jun Yeong's sister
- she's a girl!! haha!
but gradually CM notices that SH is indeed very different from all other girls - she's not pandering to him nor flattering him nor coming onto him like other girls usually do to a chaebol's son and that's the attraction she has for him.

yup ep4 is another good one and the sweetness score is going up!
And the grandpa's really funny too. Totally cracked me up when he suddenly changed his attitude at the mention of SH being the heiress of HAD. And DK was like eh? Now we have 2 ppl supporting uri DK and SH already!! Yeap yeap, I'm a die hard DK SH shipper now.. XDAhh..The scene of DK learning from Godfather!! HAHAHHAHA..that's really a classic. What can he learn about dating from that movie? I mean reading books is already a silly thing to do...but too bad DK's just clueless when it comes to love.
poor DK....first grandpa forces him to lay hands on HwaAhnDang and we all know he'll only get it if it comes with SH!!!
then now grandpa threatens that if he's not successful he won't have his job!
he just has no way out, our dear fella! it's a do or die for him and he's giving it his all albeit in his clueless, clumsy ways.....hehe!
Godfather is my hubby's fav movie but i dun watch it cuz itz too gory for me.
let me see when i get to that part in ep4 what DK might be hoping to learn from it? *frowns*
I think it's SH's Hal Mae (grandmother). Cos I remember in Ep 1, when SH's grandpa was talking to DK's assistant, he thought his assistant was President Hwang Man Bok (DK's grandfather). He mentioned something about DK's grandfather liking SH's Hal Mae..I think it's her. they used the same name..yes i recall that too and i'm quite sure grandpa had a crush on HalMae when they were younger
but i dunno if this is in any way gonna affect DK & SH's getting together
i also think Hal Mae is not SH's blood-related granny but maybe just a premier servant-cum-nanny sort of role?

and I do really agree about the idea of a guy confessing to the girl first, or falling for the girl first. It's kinda rare to see such a flow in Kdramas, cos the typical storyline's always girl falls for guy and has to wait until the guy realises his feelings for her. I kinda like the fresh change here..actually, LJH's character also fell for Eugene's character first in Wonderful Life, right? But too bad then, it didn't work out cuz she already set her heart on someone else and it was heartbreaking to see how things turned out for LJH's character in the end *sniff sniff* but he was a gentleman all throughout and i enjoyed it thoroughly

lol ai*, you have a naughty mind ~ but yes, that scene would have been more interesting with your suggestion I guess it would be hard to film that in such a small space, though... besides, at this point maybe it's too early for Dong Gyu to see or feel SH that way, he he I think that its too early for that, especially since I doubt the cute and naive LDH has any notion of sexuality at the moment. Besides, I think realistically speaking, during those moment, people don't normally feel sexual tension, then again this is k-drama, so I guess anything is possible. But I would be disturbed if scenes like that came out in the second episode esp when LDH is a shy and conservative 22 yr old with the mind of a 10 year old.
oops! i din mean for them to skew towards sexual connotations for that scene
but i'd sure like to have more awkward & funny moments between our sweet couple
cuz although SH is young and totally naive & unprepared when it comes to love
i think DG too (tho he's already 30) knows next to nilch on how to chase a girl he likes
and their ridiculous quarrels with sweet moments of making-up all adds up to such great anticipation.....

The korean fans are pretty sure the song ("She" originally by... Elvis Costello? I think?) is Lee Ji Hoon himself singing the song. But, it's not available anywhere so most likely it'll be on the OST.

Group S is one of my fav and u do get to hear solo bits from each of the 3 guys - kangta, lee ji hoon & shin hye sung
and i tell u they are all great!
actually i thot they could have expanded on the scene where both of them were locked in that cupboard
they could have been embarrassed with their proximity, feeling each other's breath
and they could have been eye-talking (like dalja & saedo!) various means of untying themselves etc
a misssed opportunity shucks!
those other heart-meltingly sweet awwww scenes u all mentioned in ep2 are killing me....
it's just rolling in my mind all day long
it's been awhile since i've been this crazy!

and it was explained back then that this was countryside accent of that particular region
but i dunno if it's the same region here again in H!M
yes, SH will hang onto HAD and when DK gets SH, it'll be a marriage of 2 families together!!!!
i think ManBok is trying to make amends for his past crime by saving HAD from ruins
this character really reminds me of the grandpa of KangDongWan's character in 1% of anything
where grandpa & grandson both had failings but grandpa always lords over grandson haha!
there's one thing i just remembered, when DongKyu taught SooHa to use the handphone
he told her to press 9 whenever she was in trouble
how does that work? is that available on all korean handphones?
so DongKyu is 30 years old while SooHa is 22? i still can't get over how sweet they look together in some very special scenes.....

so in city it's agasshi, countryside accented it would be agesshi?
i think it's the same for halmoni in city but hal mae in countryside?

u know it's been ages since my heart ran, hopped, jumped with such excitement, joy, anticipation etc.
i was worried if the DongGyu-SuHa couple had any chance up against the GongChan-YooRin couple
but with these first 2 episodes, i must say i've thrown away all my inhibitions to the wind
and i just love LJH in this - his smiles, his awkward moments, his dressing *swoon* everything!
the only way DongGyu is ever gonna get Hwa Ahn Tang is when he gets SuHa!!!! cuz it comes as a package, SuHa is never gonna let Hwa Ahn Tang down! fighting!
