So.
I am thankful it was not a Goblin like ending.
I love how they grow old together and spend as much time as they could with each other.
I still think it is KES's doppelganger writing this drama. HAHA.
I may sacrifice sleep and wait for subs.....
I would love to be able to time-travel with my beloved. SIGH. Romance.

To live on this thread for live recaps or to hide away until the end.
This is a really hard decision!

I think they were pretty good at keeping to character during the infamous mung bean cake kiss.
And the director and crew kept the film rolling into the end.
That kiss is going to go down in drama history. Hahahaha.
PS. He was 'betrayed' a lot (aka put on the spot) by LS many times during the fanmeet. LOL.
But I could see he was genuinely happy with his castmates...
Until the netizens stepped in.
Hmm.. interesting point of views about QQ and HS.
For me, XQ (scriptwriter) basically took over QQ's body during the drama (bear in mind, it is still a script for a drama - so the character is totally fictional)
As for HS and Actor Han.
I think that for HS's character - For Actor Han, he did not take over the body of HS (or he would have realised who QQ was immediately) but he viewed HS as in a dream. He knew what HS said and did but he is detached from the character HS. Think of it as if there is a soul floating above HS who sees everything and yet cannot make his own decisions and movements. All the decisions and movements are purely HS. I see this is why he (HS) felt hurt when he realised he was a character in XQ's story until XQ told him that she had fallen in love with him, therefore not viewing him as just a character but a person with feelings and emotions.
And when XQ returned to her world, it is Actor Han who has HS's memories.
I am curious whether he remembered their consummation. LOL!
Am I confusing myself and everyone yet? LOL

@enzek I loled at the part when XLS said that he (DYX) was still young and lacked the skill and awareness of camera angles. His reaction!

@enzek that video review was hilarious. I was laughing out loud.
The infamous character from Goodbye My Princess was compared again.

Skipping to last episode without subs..
SpoilerCried like mad and probably will cry more once I understand what is being said.
HS had to do what he did for QQ to go back. He knew she would stay with him but then what will happen to her after he is gone? Stuck in that world alone. No one to support or protect her. So he had to make her do the sun walk.
[This is why we had the part where QQ revealed who she was - a scriptwriter from another time and place]
That is really self-sacrificial love - he was not selfish in the sense that he wanted her to stay with him til the end.

Happy or sad ending. Either way, we are going to have an explosion on the thread after the final credits....

I am trying not to have high expectations or predictions.
Go in blind!
Then become awe-struck once it is finally over.

I always love the underdogs!
It was a light, fun drama which did not take itself seriously.
I think partly because there was not much pressure (compare to a big budget production), the cast and crew really looked like they enjoyed their time together.
Not to mention to awesome chemistry between the leads!

Those short clips of interviews just highlights on the both of them are on the same wavelength
They understand what each other are saying even as I went 'huh'. LOL....

Yes. He does give an oppa vibe. Not the boyfriend kind but that he cares for her a lot.
It looks like he would look out for her and can be as goofy as her (as we saw on set during the BTS)
Sometimes I can't help but stare at her too because she is a bundle of energy and she is quite frank in what she says (she doesn't pretend to act coy and shy - she's really enthusiastic!)
They have good synergy and it would be great for them to be in another production, preferably as the leads again.

I hope ZLS and DYX will sing it.
My highest hope.

Although I was disappointed that there was only one 'adult' scene at the jail (and not a single kiss!) , I think the flow of the story and the more sweet than passionate scenes suited the tone.
HS is meant to be 19 years old (and to die before 20 - as everyone expected) so there is that youth factor. I do realise that in those days, they tend to marry young but considering it's more like a teenagerish love drama, I already didn't expect the level of Love Hypnotic (lol) .
I enjoyed the sweetness and the way HS looks at QQ! And the way he treasures her completely once he has fallen in love.
I'll probably rewatch once the subs are completed.
And eagerly wait for the fanmeet!

Watching Episode 21 and seeing what PH said to QQ, it was inevitable he would fall in love with her. She was always encouraging him and telling him he could enjoy the Qin, he could be more than the Minister of Education.

I like the ideas about the possible Season 2.
It would be interesting how the scriptwriter will end up with the script of Season 2.
Problem for her is that the other characters are also much loved (RuiRui and BaiBai!) So they must also return in S2.

I can't wait to watch this part with subs!

After this, there would probably be an uptick in offers and scripts. Endorsements etc.
At least he has that OLAY advert and I realised how fair he was, fairer than me!
