After watching the teasers/trailers (whatever you call them) - Flower of Evil is beyond my expectation ! It's going to be awesome!!

 

Director nim is so "simpatico" nice, sweet and adorable and of course our two leads  ... wondering why they were giggling so much, so shy and I think I saw JG blushing too...

I actually like that there's none. No scenes of the drama and no stills or BTS photos/videos. I would like it to remain that way but I doubt it. They'll probably give it now that it's July. But like JG said earlier from his Namoo interview, it would be better to watch this drama without any spoilers. I really feel like it would be better watching this drama blind and enjoy its thrills, mysteries and twists along the way. They won't even give extensive info about the other actors and their characters (besides the main 4: LJG, MCW, JHJ, SHW and even then, they only kept repeating and rehashing ostensible or surface level information.) and the fact that they said there'll be additional characters and casts in the middle of the drama is already telling that there'll be a lot of surprises. Also, this is the first time that JG didn't even give a single sneak peak or behind the scenes photo/video while filming. Even reading fan theories and knowing his past name, Do Hyun So, already feels like a spoiler to me. And the only reason that was even revealed was because of the script reading where JG's nameplate contained two names and keen observant fans were able to see and translate it.

 

One thing i don't like though is that there's no couple photoshoot for this drama. I waited 3 yrs for this reunion so I'm really hoping there'll be one. Just imagine the explosive chemistry they're gonna have in those photos.

Hope supporters won’t worry too much about rating. Let’s enjoy the drama. There are many people who watch programs using an app now, and necessily watching the drama during usual broadcast. Though of course I would be more than delighted if the rating would be high. 

 

Airing it at 9pm is still a sweet spot for the show to air even if it's for mature audiences. Also, I don't think there's nothing wrong wanting higher ratings. If the story and performance are great, I don't think getting 1-3% ratings is fair or even justifiable after all that hard work. Sometimes a well thought out timing makes a huge difference and could give a boost.

But you have to consider the day. Yes, the best rated cable dramas you're talking about, "Sky Castle" and "World of the Married", both of which are from JTBC, aired at 11pm BUT they are slotted for FRIDAYS & SATURDAYS. It's actually the perfect sched and time slot for those shows as most people are out or doing something until late at night (#TGIF & #It'sFinallyTheWeekend). Most people have the luxury and attention span to watch and indulge in something even if it's late at night. While for "Flower of Evil" they're slotted for WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. It's risky airing it at 11pm as most people have either work or school the following day. Just my 2 scents

 

P. S. Does TVN have a Fri-Sat sched? If not, i wish they had one. They could try scheduling FOE there.

Yeah...I noticed that too  My theory is, maybe he just had it at the beginning when he was still a gangster but had them removed as he turned into a true lawyer...But if that’s what’s gonna happen, I have to admit I’m slightly dissappointed...I mean those finger tattoos were major plus hottie points ...and the show could’ve made it like a symbol for his character to not forget his roots and to still show his rough, wild, gangster side even if he’s already a lawyer...But still this is Korea we’re talking about and their culture doesn’t really encourage and tolerate tattoos especially if you’re someone with a high profile job like a lawyer or doctor...so I do get it’s gonna be OOC for their societal norm or what not...so I kinda get it...BUT at the same time it’s gonna happen in a FICTIONAL city with, what I think, a slighlty different societal structure and norm so I was hoping they’re gonna let the tattoos slide...but whatever  ...Lee Joon Gi is hot and handsome either way

I didn’t know there was a deleted scene in Two Weeks  Mind to eleborate what that “aquarium scene” was about? Where does it fit in the series or which part or episode was it for?...please I want to know...Also, I hope they don’t delete that “Running Scene” in “Lawless Lawyer”.... I haven’t posted here in a long time (busy with uni so most of the time i just back read and I didn’t like Criminal Minds that much, sorry, dont hate me please ~I don’t even like the Original American Version...I just don’t like stories or series With no clear beginning or end; I dont know how to explain it, it’s not like i only like hero centric stories, i also like dramas, romance, comedy, etc...just stories that are clear and have an End..hope you guys get what I’m trying to say~also the PD’s and writers were such a mess, they just wasted a talented, epic and legendary cast, especially Joon Gi)....Anyways back to Lawless Lawyer, I must say I’m liking the synopsis, it’s a vigilante story. It kinda reminds me of Marvel’s “Daredevil” on Netflix ( I’m a sucker for superhero movies and series, mostly marvel because DC sucks at interpreting their stories on screen except for the Batman trilogy by Christopher Nolan~sorry to DC fans)...Based on the initial infos given, Mathew Murdock/Daredevil and Bong Sang Pil are so similar except Bong Sang Pil is not blind and doesn’t have extraordinary senses; also for Daredevil, it’s his dad who died while for Bong Sang Pil, it’s his mom~but they’re both lawyers by day then vigilante by night and they each have their own law firm lol...i don’t know if Bong Sang Pil is gonna be given his own Foggy Nelson though...He’s gotta have a bestfriend and wingman right? I want some bromance too ...For Ha Jae Yi, her character is like a mix of Karen Page and Electra both Daredevil’s ladies...although it’s more like 80% Karen and 20% Electra if she could fight (correct me if I’m wrong) but i did read somewhere that Ha Jae Yi uses her fists)...anyway I’m really excited for this, May can’t come soon enough

This could well be the REAL reason why JG hasnt participated in a purely Korean film production since 2007. Both "Resident Evil"  and "Never Said Goodbye" were joint ventures with other countries.Now that I think of it, I dont think since JG came out of the army in 2012, there has been no role suitable for him at Chungmuro. Its been five years already and JG's first mega hit was in film.

I haven't posted here for a long time and only lurked as real life took over and wanted to avoid drama but this certain news made me admire and love Joon Gi even more and made me realized how strong he is for going through this mess with QUIET DIGNITY so can I screenshot your posts and share it on instagram? I want more people to know the things which he MiGHT have suffered or is still stuffering due to being on the list. Cause somebody mentioned Wang So here again...I just felt like posting this line from Marvel's "Black Panther" movie trailer ,that I saw earlier, which fits and relates to him: "You're a good man with a good heart. And it's hard for a good man to be king" ..you know cause however good you are, whether you're a king, leader or president, hard decisions have to be made where sacrifices and unprincipled actions are inevitable...I believe Wang So's father, King Taejo, is a good and wise man but he had to make hard decisions and sacrifices just like what he said to Wang So ...that's politics for you...it's not black and white like some naive viewers whining and objecting Wang So's actions and decisions wants it to be and it's not some disney based world where the hero is squeaky clean...it's reality...and that's where MLSHR based their characters and events anyway...I've watched so many political and historical movies and dramas and even watching "House of Cards" that Wang So's actions to fight the never ending greedy and corrupt snakes in that palace of hell, were not even surprising or new to me...and i didn't even see them in bad light...

And for random thoughts since I just read that article for two weeks, thanks to @violina for the link,....this might be an unpopular opinion but i want him to stop the fanmeetings for a while, as in a couple of years,  just like what he did during 2015... i fully know and appreciate his love for the fans, i think the fandom already sees, knows and feel that...He could still have his birthday fanmeets as they're already tradition...I just feel and think that with his passion as an actor and the industry, the fanmeets are taking too much of his time...while most of his co-stars had back to back projects already done after MLSHR...he was doing fanmeets for several months which in that time frame he could have already finished filming a drama or movie plus had a well deserved brake after his hardwork...but all throughout, he was busy and tired running around and doing non-acting/actor stuff that he was already haggard and tired going into the CM filming...I know I'm just being selfish wanting to see him act again and I'm already here imagining several types of characters he could portray as he is such a talented actor he could make any character believable and relatable...just look how much he did for just 1 year in 2015 when he stopped the fanmeets for a while...I could even see him giving directing a try and being a credible director in the future...he just gives me that vibe with all his knowledge and passion for the acting industry and based on his answers i feel like he has the knack for it and maybe nail that in the park as well...

Could anybody give the exact translation of the caption. The poster of the pic in insta is an action director and coordinator that is currently working for criminal minds and based on google translate, it seems that he gave some praises to Joon Gi. It would be great to know what exactly did he say about him so we could add him in the list of fanboys lol . Joon Gi just has that power to attract people and turn them into fans or better yet admire and respect him. The fact that everytime he works with new people , and they somehow give him some sort of praise, admiration or respect is a testament to what kind of person he is and that those praises from fans (us) about what an amazing and great person he is are not just purely from biased rose covered goggles of "fangirls" which "casual" (ranging from casual fans to non-fan or indifferent) people normally dismiss, but from "casual" people as well.

Lets not even get started with the hair whining.I remember when the my ear candy street shots, were going around upon instagram, he looked just like he is looking now before it aired.But as soon as it was broadcast on TV, it turned out so beautifully and he looked his usual beautiful and handsome self.

Some international fans are even whining about his weight, saying if he is taking on Derek, Derek is buff and blah blah how is he going to sell the character.I say let's be patient and wait for the stills and promos, so we can understand better about the roles and appearance, but more importantly for once let's just trust and support him as fans and spread positive vibes for the drama .He has enough critics and antis now to stress him out.Fans should not add more worries and stress to him.

Take a look below. Spencer Reid says MyGosh so as LJG...hehehe Anyway it boils down to interpretation. I am sure these characters maybe interpreted differently in the Korean version.. just like LJG 4th Prince was totally different from the c-versions 4th Prince.

 

Well in my perspective, LJG both have the the characteristics of Reid and Derek in real life,...like @missmaudy said with the chatter box, obssessive, might I also add Witty Reid like character, but LJG also demonstrated that he has a Serious, deep thinker and athletic side like Derek that sometimes shows on camera when he is not in hyper mode. It would be great if it would be a combination of those 2 characters, but ,for me, whatever kind of character it is, I believe he will pull it off because of his great, exceptional, remarkable acting ability and skills. Also, on the weight thing, It looks to me that he actually gained some, still thin looking, yes, but at least he still gained some.

I just read over IG that it's going to be shown in Japan in the 12th May.

To me, MEC was just a show, a variety show. Even a 50 year old or so married celeb flirts on a Korean entertainment show, even kiss in the cheek or hug. It's was just a show made mainly for entertainment. Also while they shoot, they were probably surrounded with more than 10 people each set. In PMY set alone, when she was feeding the staff, I saw at least more than 4 cameramen then plus the writer, pds and other staff. How could anyone think it's real?

Anyhow, does Anyone has a subbed copy who's willing to share? It would be much appreciated.  

The problem is there's a double standard....If married ajushi comedians or comedians in a relationship like Yoo Jae SuK or Ji Suk Jin do the so called "flirting" as entertainment it's ok....but when actors do it, then it suddenly bcomes a "real" thing ...yet, if you actually look at the bigger picture and compare it, the comedians actually "flirt" much harder....bottom line is it's all for show and brings great entertainment and ,in the case of comedians, great laughs. Just look at all the "Monday Couple" bruhaha of Song Ji Hyo and Kang Gary in Running Man , when in reality, after departuring RM kang Gary is getting married to a different person...they probably just kept it secret just so the segment of "Monday Couple" won't be awkward or tainted hehehe.

Ok...I think people already looked past or are over with the editing accusations or issues.. but still I want to share my thoughts before I go Awol on this site due to real life responsibilities...The analogy that I'm going to use might be off and come off comparing apples to oranges and I might mention some unnecessary things but I can't help but think that the root and culprit of all this fiasco with MEC is actually the editing. My mind was in a blur yesterday with all the helming and worrying for the incoming storm that I can't believe I forgot about these things.The reason I said that it was editing is because of what I what I witnessed the past few years in k-ent. 

Some if not all of you here might not even be into kpop or khiphop but there was this one incident with this show called "Show Me The Money" Season 4, which is a rap competition that airs on Mnet, wherein Jay Park was accusing the PD's of too much editing. If you know who he is and is put offed by his attitude, then you might not find his accusations or words viable but now with this MEC incident, the statements he said about the show, its PD's and it's editing that I took with just a grain of salt and even brush off before made me believe him now 100%. He was accusing the PD's of editing the show in a way that made it seem that there was a feud among the different judges from different labels which surprised him when the first episode aired cause he said they actually filmed it in a Fun manner and there were NO feuds or fights going on. He even accused the PD's of deliberately ordering or instigating them and the contestants to start fights and dissed harder in order to make the show more dramatic. There was also this accusation that the competition was rigged from the start because of the idol contestant Song Minho from WINNER because he's raking in the views and popularity due to his idol status. I think there's no doubt he's talented and even without the competition being so called "fixed" he might have actually even still won the show but due to the editing accusations it tainted his win in some people's eyes and we fail to see how much he could actually compete without the backing. Fellow participants of the show didn't back him but they didn't or maybe couldn't even deny his accusations. Some people more experienced just advised him that that's just how it goes and it didn't strain his rapport with anybody in the hiphop commnunity Even the PD's were silent and he was still able to finish the season lol. I guess rappers have a more liberated attitude that's why they or actually he, could shout this at the top of his lungs plus he's from the US hence the "I don't give a eff" attitude lol.

This even ushered in more memories of instances where I would notice editing blunders on other korean variety shows and just brush it off. There was this one clip I saw from "Strong Heart" I couldn't remember who were the people involved, if they were idols or an actor or actress so I'll just label them star or entertainer. There was this star talking about something funny then it keeps zooming in to the reaction of another famous entertainer laughing but when the camera pans out you would see that the entertainer is not even present anymore lol. It happens, guest with tight schedules could leave because the duration of the filming is so long, the PD's will just apparently use what they have. It was a top comment on youtube so I rewinded and saw the blunder. Then in "Star King" there were actually several incidents like that wherein something is happening or someone is saying something funny then they'll zoom in for the reactions and it will be either they're not there or they weren't actually reacting that hard or had stoic faces when the camera pans out.

You could even notice it on some clips in MEC wherein you could hear the audio of PMY laughing overlapping with her stating a word or sentence, even Joon Gi's. Then there was the sequence of their conversation in Ep 7 at night where you would see PMY in an apron and ponytail at the start to no ponytail and apron and then back again to her in an apron and ponytail. If that isn't some serious blatantly obvious editing and people continue to be ignorant sh*ts then I don't even know anymore. It doesn't mean that they weren't genuine and that their laughter and their intentions and sincerity in conversations were fake. They did laugh and had fun, where else would the PD's get audio of them laughing and they were different every time. I'm just saying they were probably laughing or reacting to some other things twisted by the editing power of the PD's to give off the romantic vibe. There's no doubt in my my mind that they were sincere and genuine in having a FRIENDLY conversation, it just got twisted by the editing team

So folks don't believe everything you see on TV lol...Even the news gets twisted what more of these so called reality shows.

Actually the official statement said early half of 2016, in short it's been one year...it means they were already dating while he was filming MLSHR..and for MEC someone already posted earlier that the producers are at fault...they heavily edited it...the show isn't a dating show...there was even a male-male partner in season 1...i also actually noticed how much it was edited but if you actually look at the whole segment they were just most of the time trying to find out who was on the other line lol...that was like 80% of their whole conversation...and in the end they even addressed each other as "FRIENDS"...this isn't titanic~lol, you can't develop love in just 3 days hahaha....

You could see it in the pictures it is so dated..I used his weight as a basis lol...that is either late 2015 or early 2016 and they release it now?!...Man what dirty business...Ugh if only Karma could come to these corporate greedy scums sooner..

Joon Gi actually said it before that the girls always get the short end of the stick...that's why he didn't want to reveal relationships...I applaud him for that he has sense and knows how it actually goes and that he is protective...poor Hye Bin...She's so hot, lovely and beautiful it's actually a win~lol

I actually read somewhere before that in Korea, they will use so-called celebrity "scandals" (Even though in Lee Joon Gi's case, dating isn't even supposed to be labeled a scandal) to distract the public from political issues...I also read a comment by someone that maybe it was a sobatage made by a rival agency who tried to secure him as his contract was expiring with Namoo, but didn't get him...The fact that just by looking at those photos you could tell that they were taken a long time ago but was deliberately released today, is coming off to some, even to me, a little bit suspicious lol...it really feels like a deliberate attack to try and ruin him...the timing is just really fishy and all..then again these trash reporters and paparazzis always try to ruin someone with little consience and regard to consuquences and human being's lives ...Ugh if only it was released after MEC then people would have forgetten the hype..since that is where most of the nonsense is coming from...honestly it just needed to pass....Just like how the hype for Jang Geun Suk and Yoo In Na's MEC died and went nowhere...Maybe if it was on June or May...heck even late of April..then the response would have been so much more positive...hence my theory somebody tried to either used him as a distraction or attacked him...or maybe I was just thinking too much and it was just downright bad luck ...I spent my free day with this issue~lol...tomorrow's back to uni...good thing there's no assignments or deadlines tomorrow~lol...just lectures

I'm a completely different user...The sentiments I shared and stated before are the sentiments I witnessed on Instagram where I first read or seen the news. Then It was also from comments from different news articles, when I was scrambling for legit sources to verify the news. I think you should read what I stated.. I knew it was scripted.. I know it isn't a dating show.. I tried to research what the show is about when I first heard the news that he was appearing. I even took a glimpse of what season 1 was like. I even agreed and stated that I took the "lonely" part the wrong way. I think you should re-read that.

When you think about it, there is absolutely no reason to feel duped or tricked. He said in the first episode that he wanted to show that his real personality was warm and friendly, not cold and unapproachable. I believe what he has always said, that he needs a lot of affection to avoid feeling lonely, which is why I'm glad he has Jeon Hye Bin in his life.

I also feel that i'm being addressed about the duped or tricked part since i used those words...I never said i was tricked with MEC. I know reality shows are scripted but it was a fun ride...I want him to be with whoever he loves. I'm ok with Jeon Hye Bin. I actually like her. When I read about their rumors last 2015, I was actually hoping it was real because I cant bear to see him lonely anymore. I just think now the timing of the reveal is wrong. I just said in a lighthearted manner, that the part that I felt I tricked, was when he always pointed out that he felt lonely or alone and that he needs affection in his interviews... I guess, all this time, I interpreted it as him needing a lover and that he is single when it could also actually be, as you stated, interpreted that he actually needed more sincere and true friends especially after what happened with his old company whom he considered his family and friends but betrayed him immensely. It's actually hard to find real friends in an industry like that. You'll never know who's real and who are the snakes. I didn't even think that it could be interpreted that way so it's my bad..
