  1. Thanks @partyon for tagging!! Thank U GIF by chiara

I've been away from soompi these months since real life got super busy, I have a boyfriend now so it's for happy reasons that I can't sit in front of my computer so often :D

This poll has reminded me of so many beloved dramas that enjoyed in the past,...maybe Dream High is my favorite, but also Goong, Boys over flowers...and the more recent True beauty or All of us are dead.

Anyway, I will keep coming sometimes to see how you guys are doing, and what is happening in dramaland, hehe!! Take care!! :*

  2. Just voted for Naksu and hope she gets more votes since she's a super-amazing FL character :please:. I know that the plot and development for AoS were weak at times, but Naksu shined through all of it. I loved that she was so badass; she went under so much pain and difficulties and she survived and ended up being a master magician and warrior. I found it inspiring too that in the end she left a bit the warrior side and the swords fights and just joined her love, forming an awesome power couple and going through the country hunting monsters down. She was able to heal and change her life for the better, and be happy in the end :D

  3. Hi!! I'm a bit late to the party but I'll pick my oppa for a Christmas date. I have so many oppas I love, haha!! But the one I'd choose for Christmas date is Lee Jong Suk without a doubt...  :) There are others more handsome or sexy, but he radiates cheerfulness and sweetness, I cannot imagine a better date for a day like this. :fullofhearts:

    Happy New Year everyone!! :heartxoxo:

Hi guys!! I love the mood in this thread, haha!! like Christmas already arrived to soompi :fullofhearts:

For me it's very busy IRL these days with work and family, no time for kdramas...although I'm looking forward to my holidays in January and hope I'll have time to watch something. :D   Anyway, not sure I can participate in the games now... :sad1:

Have a great time these holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone!! :loveu:

Yeah, that seems interesting. Have you watched the movie Castaway? Tom Hanks? Briliiant movie. Or read 'One True Loves' by Taylor Jenkins Reid?

No, never watched any of these. But I'm adding them now to my watchlist. :D Lately I'm on a TV slump, with almost nothing to watch. Only following "A good day to be a dog" now, which is super fun btw, and PGY and the dog are utterly adorable...

    Thanks for the suggestions! :heartxoxo:

Kang Ha Neul in Moon Lovers..

He's one of my favorites too!! Sorry LJK fans, but I thought that he had the best chemistry with IU in Moon Lovers...still waiting for these two to star in a drama together..

As for the rest, Joo Ji Hoon was perfect in Goong and I fell hard for him watching the series. Who wouldn't want a prince-husband like him, hahaha!!! :fullofhearts:

Special mention, although I couldn't vote for him, goes to Shin Seung Ho as Go Won in Alchemy of Souls. The whole cast was adorable and it was soothing to watch them hanging around together, but the prince took the cake. :heartxoxo:

did you also watch My Ugly Duckling when he appeared?

No, I knew nothing about that! I'll have to check this out, hehe!!

I used to scan the internet to find material from oppa, haha!! :D Around that time, I remember that he filmed the Taiwanese version of "Skip beat", which was super difficult to find with subtitles, but I still managed to watch the whole thing...so much research I had to do :)

  8. As for my start with kdramas, I remember that my sister was gushing about Boys over flowers and Lee Min Ho all the time. So I checked it. I liked the style, so different from western media, that was new to me, but Lee Min Ho was not my type. Next I watched Full House and I remember thinking that Rain was handsome, but the first time I fell head over heels for an oppa (and he was my number 1 for a long time), it was with Choi Si Won in Oh! My lady. It took about 5 seconds for me to fall in love, haha!! :heart2beat:

    spacer.png

Later I got a few more kdrama husbands: Gong Yoo, Song Seung Heon, Park Bo Gum... and Seo Kang Joon is the last one that stole my heart. I love them all, haha!!

As for girls, my crush is Han Hyo Joo, who I find super cool, fun and likeable. I always watch her dramas.

  9. Hello guys!! A bit late to the party but I will confess too, haha!!

The dramas that I always have in my hard drive, because I know I will want to rewatch again one day:

Are you human too? ...because I'm a sucker for robot stories and for Seo Kang Joon. I love this to bits. Nam Shin 3 is one of my favorite characters ever :fullofhearts:

    spacer.png

W two worlds. Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo are among my favorite actors, but mainly because I loved the story so much. It was so super-original, and when I rewatch I still get the thrills (and it's nice to know that it will end well, so I don't suffer that much and can enjoy the romance...)

    W10.png?s=900x600&e=t

It's been a while but I rewatched a couple of times Hana Kimi. Because it is cartoony in the Japanese way but it works so well, and it has this high-school manga youthful energy. I love the romance, the friendship and how the boys hang out together or go to the beach in summer... it just helps to lift my mood.

    hana-kimi.png

And finally, as my avatar shows, I have a weakness for Kamisama kiss, and I rewatch it sometimes just to be swept away by the romance again. It never gets old for me, always so fun, and Tomoe always irresistible...my ideal man-fox spirit.:heart::heart:

This role was played by Yoon Shi Yoon oppa, no?

Yes, and he was amazing there. It was 50 episodes and too soapy for my current tastes, but boy I was so addicted to the drama. I remember I got my sister and my brother-in-law on board and he never watches kdrama, and they loved it too. From here I got my undying love for Yoon Shi Yoon.

What's the difference between the two- Liege and Brussels?

The liege waffle has denser dough with clumps of sugar in it and the shape is irregular while the Brussels' ones are perfectly rectangular, since the dough is more liquid and easier to spread while making them. For me, I used to put all the toppings in the Brussels ones since they are lighter, and the others...eating them without anything is enough, haha!! But both are equally tempting when freshly made

Yeah, I know :D Dans mes bras, chingu!! :heart4:

I was living in Belgium for a while, so I was able to eat a lot of waffles  I like them both, the Liege kind and the Brussels ones... The Liege ones seem more sinful and full of calories, haha!!

Also, crossing the border you could eat really good Dutch pancakes and mini-pancakes, the poffertjes!! They were all delicious and living there made it difficult to stay in shape, haha!! :eatscookie:

  16. It's difficult to choose, although I voted for the waffles. Belgian waffels with all the extra toppings are irresistible...my faves are the ones with chocolate, berries and whipped cream :dorashakes:

As for my corner, not much going on. I caught a huge cold and have spent the last weeks at home. I have no favourite dramas these days, after Alchemy of Souls 2 nothing catches my attention. I've read a lot lately and I've discovered the "Court of thorns and roses" series which is a lot more romantic and spicy that I thought and it's a super-addictive read. I'm in love with Rhys now :please:

Apart from that, I'm planning for a short trip this spring. Not sure if it will be Córdoba's Courtyard festival or Granada's festival of May Crosses...I'm in the mood for sun, smell of orange blossoms, party in the streets and flamenco music. :fun:

  17. Just watched ep.05 and I'm loving it. Maybe this type of fantasy series is exactly my style, since I'm enjoying it so much.

So far my favorite thing is the siblings dynamics between Mi Ho and Johan. They are adorable together, I like how they take care of each other. :please:

Also, the relationship between Van and Mi Ho is interesting. I'd love to see them ending up together...would it be possible?

Anyway, I'll just enjoy the gang running around the island and hunting demons. Although some things happening are quite scary. Just hope Mi Ho and her boys can take down all the villains :hwaiting:

  18. I knew it!! It was a happy ending!! :happydance:

Don't know about you guys, but I loved the ending. We had enough time to see what happened to everyone, and it was nice to see that everybody got their happy closure and Uk+Naksu got to be married and play the power couple around, protecting the country. Plus, they are planning to have daughters, yay!! :allgoodlol:

It was a fun watch and I got attached to all the characters...and the romance between the main couple was great. I just wish they'd been given a bigger budget for CGI so all the episodes could have been as action packed as the last one. This was a fantasy story about mages so we should have been treated to more action, magic and spectacular fights.

  19. Ok, I'm bracing myself for the last episode!! Still my guess is that Uk and Naksu will end up together...just hope it's not as ghosts, or that Bu Yeon will carry Uk's and Naksu's child, haha!! :fear:

    That'd be weird, LOL!

Maybe Bu Yeon/Seol Ran's soul will decide to leave for heavens after they solve the issue of the ice stone and allow Naksu and Uk to live happily together. :D

  20. So, my thoughts after ep.08...1st and foremost LJW and GYJ have amazing chemistry and I swear there is real physical attraction fuelling that. They make easy to believe that they are star crossed lovers who cannot live without the other. Can't get enough of Naksu+Uk :heart4:

Then, there is the rest of the cast who are doing an amazing job at making us loving or hating their characters. So far the cast are carrying the show, and I'm a bit disappointed at how little action we are seeing, except maybe for episode 8 were things are speeding up a bit. I'd be ok with the series so far because a slow setup gives time for feelings to grow. And I love spending time with these characters...if they made a slice-of-life spin-off with all of them I'd watch :dorashakes: What I don't like is that everything is supposed to be solved in 2 more episodes...that's simply not enough!

About the last episodes, my bet is that we'll get a happy enough ending. Naksu and Uk have suffered too much just to die or be separated again in the end. It'd be too unfair. Since they insist in keeping Bu Yeong alive, maybe they'll bring back Naksu's body somehow. For now, I refuse to believe that they'll kill off one of them. That's all I ask...and I'd like to see some more badass action from Naksu, but guess we're not getting it :sad1:

  21. Well, I found the finale a little underwhelming, anti-climatic...the setup was so dramatic, I was expecting it would end with a bang, and the revenge would be satisfying... But in the end it was about management rights of big corporations?? That left me quite cold. Plus, I'd have preferred he'd end the series as Do Joon, not going back to be Hyun Woo.

All in all, it was super fun and I loved it, just maybe my expectations for the ending were too high.

Having him died to return to his old body

When I said killing himself I meant that DJ could be behind HW's death, namely hire Jinyoung the intern and making sure he gets the slush fund money. Since it's going to happen anyway.

Although after thinking about it, I think it would be possible to have the intern followed and steal the money from him later, since he knows how and where everything is going to happen.

Apart from that, I think the accident they refer at the beginning where DJ died is not necessarily the same accident we saw where DJ and Grandpa didn't die. There might be another accident in the future. For what I've seen so far, there are no signals that indicate that the future where DJ lived as HW will change one bit.
