@enigmatic_zephy I got So in my first honest attempt and my second. It's the Whistle song by BLACKPINK, I tell ya! I actually changed my answers the second attempt, and still got So. In reality, I want a man who speaks like Wook, but acts like So. HAHAHA!

I think because of Park Ji Yeon's queenly aura and formidable performance and the way she truly nailed the character, I find it sometimes hard to hate on the character! Her eye acting, her tone of voice, her expressions! Their scenes are always explosive with fierce acting and intensity!
Finally! Today is day Eclipses!
On top of that, she is gorgeous. I gotta say, she's one BAMF, even though she's evil. I do look forward to her scenes with Joon Ki - their acting on point and conversations so tense. Can't wait until So trashes her and her precious Yo.

Thanks for sharing this Briseis. This is the Wang So x Hae Soo theme song I've been waiting to hear since episode 2. My eyes always tear up when this song plays in the background during their tender moments.
@hallyus NOOO! I just can't. At least we know So didn't kill Eun because he was evil - it seems more like mercy killing to end Eun's suffering. I hope it doesn't come true though. Eun and SD deserve their chance to be happy. This is definitely Yo or Wook's doing. I wouldn't put it past YH either.

@dustdevilIt sounds like a logical progression of events to me. I'm optimistic too about the ending. I really hope he gets to the future with his memories intact and we see him seeking her out.
I've gotta say, the outfits in this drama is top notch. So looks sooo good in black. I like his outfit in the new stills, black and silver. Thanks to him, I bought a new macbook case that is marbled black and gold. Gosh, So is such a fashionista. Changing the way Goryeo dresses since 943! His fashion sense even influences the future, kekeke!

I really wouldn't put much weight into that tweet. As someone said, the preview can be misleading. I would imagine the conversation being like this:
Soo: "Did you miss me?"
Wook: "I missed you everyday, but I cannot go against the King. Perhaps, it's better this way." (I thought I heard him say something like that in the preview)
And he walks off, leaving Soo in tears. This is double the betrayal and double the pain. Soo said that Wook will not betray her as long as he doesn't aim for the throne, and this is a straight contradiction to her words with Lady Oh. It shows Wook chose the throne over her, breaking her dreams/illusions of him, and also giving her a reason for his actions - closure. It will lead her to believe that he never loved her as much as she loved him and then she can finally let him go.
To be honest, it makes sense for Soo to reject So's proposal - she is not ready to let go of Wook yet because she's still trying to understand why things went the way they did. She did ask "Why?" during the rain scene." She placed her faith, dreams, and hopes in him. It's hard to accept and understand since it was so abrupt. Coupled with her loss of Lady Oh, which I'm sure she still feels responsible for. Yeah, girl needs time to heal. Yes, I believe her feelings are growing for So, but she can't accept him into her heart unless she finds closure with Wook.
Bottom line is, we will see Soo accepting So in the later previews. They have a date coming up where she wears his hairpin (accepting him), and a mutual kiss. No doubt, the lines "If only we met in a different time and different place, how wonderful would it be?" are for him. Wook even sees her growing feelings for So, which makes him feel more insecure and hungrier for the throne. Because of that, he will distance himself further from Soo. So and Soo's love is slow burning, but it will be stronger than anything Wook and Soo had. The petty side of me said, "Aaha, at least Wook never got to kiss Soo!"
Our OTP is heading there, we just need a little more patience.

Daaaang. Came back to the thread and see a bunch of PO'ed Eclipses. It's understandable though. I haven't watched the episode yet, but I've been reading the comments.
I'm thinking HS is going through the 5 stages of grief, and eventually she'll reach acceptance (last stage). WookSoo ship is dead, but there are just lingering feelings between Wook and Soo; nothing will come out of it. It's a dying light and the scenes between the two are not romantic; they're tragic. What I can see from the video clips are that Soo's heart is wavering for So, but she is in complete denial at this point. Obviously, she has not healed from all the heartache and she's still limping, so that serves a stark reminder of the pain she endured. But the way her eyes shine with hope for a few seconds when she looks at him, and the way she tries to ignore him and smother those feelings is showing the change in her feelings. Her monologue clearly shows her feelings, but her physical body is doing otherwise. She is pushing So away not only because she blames herself, but also she wants to stop the misfortune that could happen to him. Her words are harsh, but she probably is frustrated that he refuses to let her go and can't accept why he would love someone like her. Deep down, even in her monologues, she believes she's not good enough for him. So is really too good for her, but he doesn't care.
For Wang So, I love that his feelings don't change and he acts upon them. Don't forget that he is socially inept, so he probably doesn't know how to respond to Soo's feelings and give her space. He wants to take her to a better place, but hasn't quite grasp yet that it takes time and patience. He just wants to make things better for her right away.
YH may be evil, but at least she is honest about her feelings for So. I believe she likes him, but it's always been hard to reach him. I would like to see where this leads. YH may not be a good girl, but we have to question whether she is good enough for So.
As for Wook, he's annoying and needs to go away already. That's all I'm saying.
I'm in class right now and preparing for a midterm so I can't write a longer post to share my thoughts. I had to respond because I couldn't stand to see some of my fellow Eclipsers freaking out over this episode. I get you, but chillax, people. We will get our chance. They can actually fit a lot into one episode and we got 8 left. I want at least 6 episodes jammed back with SoSoo - like purely SoSoo. Not about the chase but about a reciprocated love between them.
