@devotee, I really wish there was a LMAO button. OMG. This drama will keel either by giving me heartache or dying from laughter.
If there is a time skip, it will make sense why Soo says to So all teary eyed, "I thought you have forgotten me." Or something along those lines. I know for a fact that So will not leave Soo in the palace if Yo is still alive and kicking. Something must have caused them to separate for a time or else she wouldn't have said those lines. What matters is that our couple will still love one another even after separation. I cannot imagine Soo ever changing her mind or falling out of love with So - she is at the point of loving So too much to turn back.

Ehhh...from the synopsis, maybe Soo will finally realize now that she needs to trust So with every fiber of her being. It's has been a work in progress up to this point.
We don't know whether Eun would have been saved or not regardless of whether Soo told So, but regardless So will be heartbroken because Soo did not tell him/trust him. That is what he will believe. This is a wake up call for Soo. Maybe then it will prompt her to tell So about all that she knows or even maybe the fact that she is from the future, once they're alone together (in the stills). They need to somehow reconcile this before going further in their relationship. I too would also be emotionally wounded if the person I love hid things from me, and this prevented me from doing all I could to save my family.
I think if anything, their relationship will strengthen even more afterwards so long as Soo tells him the truth and why she did not trust him. They said they'd be honest with each other from here on out. This is Soo's chance if she ever wants to have a future with So. It is just a shame that Eun and SD had to die in order for them to get to this point.

If I may add,... I think So aims for the throne because he fed up with all the bad things; greediness, tragedies around him and love falls apart within his family. He feels in order to put an end of those things he needs to be in control of the situation. Sadly, he is not in control as far as Soo's concern.
Yes, you're right. IMO, Soo is the major driving force for his fight for the throne, coupled with all the other issues in the palace. To prevent more harm from falling on those he loves including Soo, BA, Jimong, he has to take control of the crown. His reason is ultimately to protect those he loves.

Interesting. The writer is making it clear that if you go for the throne, you're gonna have a bad time. Each king has different and similar problems. Taejo having to give up his love, marrying women he has no feelings for to secure the throne, and watching his sons and wife plot for the throne. Wang Mu has his insecurities magnified, being unable to trust anyone and paranoid he will be killed by those close. Yo will be destroyed over paranoia, that his brothers will also plot to kill like he did to Mu. Also, he wants to continue shining for his mother. As for our So, it will likely be jealousy and misunderstanding his love. You see, all of the reasons that each Prince has for the throne will ultimately be the thing that undoes them. So aims for the throne for Soo, and it will be her that brings him pain and heartache as he is sitting on that throne. I am sad just writing this.

Once she's fully aware of this, I believe she'll definitely (I have no doubt here) return it to him to EMPHATICALLY let him know she's moved on. Note that I am not even mentioning that she'll repeat that it's over since 2 (or even 3?) years have already passed...so it's been over for a LONG while now.
EDIT: Want to add...we tend to keep 'mementos' of people who we still have affection for or moments/memories we hold dear in our hearts, even if those original feelings have evolved or changed. So Soo giving back the bracelet is a HUGE sign. IT'S OVER.
I agree. Pretty much the return of the bracelet and Wook's subsequent smashing of it is the final nail hammered into the WookSoo coffin. It will destroy Wook because he's still under the belief that all he has been doing to get to the throne was for Soo. Maybe the fact that Soo has not returned the bracelet yet gives him hope that she is still considering him. But after all Wook's treachery is unveiled, coupled with the confirmed feelings of SoSoo, Wook will realize that it's too late and too impossible to get Soo back.
What I want to know is, when So saves Soo by dodging the arrow fired by Yo, will she keep it as a memento just like in the C-version? Again, So will risk his life to save her, making Soo's love for him grow even deeper. That means if we do get a separation scene, it will be even more heartbreaking. Neither of them has ever loved anyone else so strongly.

For the record, I haven't seen 15 but I think the following may happen for the remaining eps (in no particular order):
YH and Wook may unite to break apart WS and HS. Obviously, YH and Wook are still pinning for the leads respectively, but YH will being slightly more successful than her older brother (eventually marrying So).
Wook will be rejected by HS, finally making him realize that no matter what he does, he'll never have HS's heart. Wook will break the bracelet when all hope is lost, just like in the C-version. I think this will happen when he hears the news that HS is pregnant with WS's baby or that they've married. Maybe even after he gets rejected for the final time.
WS takes an arrow for HS, and HS tends to his wounds. The two consummate their love, and have sexy times, eventually leading to HS's pregnancy. Look at the way he kisses her in the preview for next week. How passionate! And his IG post, showing that he is bare chested, scars and all. Those scars are featured for a reason, I tell ya. I have a dirty mind, so I hope a bed scene happens.
YH may conspire to kill HS's unborn baby with the help of CR. After all, Queen Sofreakingcraycray is her idol. It may be through poison, just like with Lady Oh. CR will commit this ultimate betrayal to HS, and we get the blood letter either with her apologizing or saying she has no regrets. Maybe she will do this to avenge for 9th, if he dies by this time. This is not really an attack on HS, but maybe on WS. Look at all those dirty looks she gives WS in 14.
Yo and 9th may die at the same time. Jung might be the one who kills Yo, like he says in the preview. Jung realizes Yo is out of control, and he'll have to end his brother's life to stop him. 9th will be arrested and executed. He is insignificant, so he won't get a grand death. It would be hilarious if he dies off-screen...but I doubt it. He'll have his 5 seconds.
Queen Sofreakingcraycray may commit suicide after Yo's death. Probably from the realization that she has turned her sons on one another and cannot live with guilt. Will she ever feel guilt for hurting WS? Maybe not. Her pride is too great. I do want WS to chew her out before she kicks the bucket though. She may end up going craz(ier) instead, but I don't think that kind of karma is enough.
General is saddened by his daughter and Eun's death. He will join WS to avenge his children. He may end up dying himself, maybe to protect WS.
Ji Mong will just be chillin' like he always does. He will live the rest of his life helping WS after he ascends the throne.
WS ascends the throne after Yo and 9th dies. He exiles and dethrones Queen Sofreakingcraycray, and Jung leaves the palace due to not accepting WS as king and for his mother.
The death of WS's baby causes him to punish/torture/kill CR cruelly. HS, although lost her baby, is heart broken on several levels: losing her baby, WS's cruelty towards CR and everyone else, and the loss of her friends, and she blames herself for the circumstances around her. HS will come to a realization that she came back to the past to solve nothing, and instead helped history follow it's course. She will live with the regrets for all the decisions she did not make.
WW tells WS that he was HS's lover as a last ditch effort to break apart HS and WS. WS misunderstands HS and questions her feelings/honesty, and we begin to see a rift between the star crossed lovers. WS will send HS away, or HS will walk away from WS. If he cannot give her freedom, she will obtain it on her own - remember, she said no one can save herself but her. This freedom comes at the cost of losing WS. WS will not stop her because he knows freedom is important to her. If he could give that to her, even at the cost of losing her, he would do it. Once WS becomes king, he cannot leave his post because that's the only way he can give Soo what she needs. Poetically, he ends up sacrificing his own freedom in order for her to gain hers. Both still love each other deeply, even in separation.
HS leaves the palace with 14th, not because she loves him, but because she doesn't want to be WS's weakness, especially now that he's king. She could also leave because she can longer live in the palace (all of the losses she experienced has made her hopeless), or because she is heartbroken over WS's change. I think the scene where she drops the flowers in her hands from the 7 min trailer is a reaction to WS's marriage to YH.
YH will force WS to marry her for HS's sake, or for whatever reason that she may help him become king. Their marriage is possible because there are conditions. I cannot see WS marrying YH for no other reason, if not for HS's sake.
Wook is either exiled or imprisoned. He does not get to walk away scot free from his crimes, so I know his punishment will happen. He may even commit suicide later.
HS will die from illness or a broken heart. She will long for WS, and everything will mirror BBJX.
BA is the only one with a happy ending (compared to 10 in the C-version).
I know some of these predictions are left field, but I thought I'd just entertain some ideas. I approach this with the idea in mind that the K-version will be sadder than the C-version. Sad includes a lot of tears, loss, deaths, separations, longings, and regrets so I'm sure we see a lot of that in the next few episodes. I wanted a happy drama, but I sure picked the wrong one.

Eh, I'm worried because So has a jealousy streak in him. He can also be ruthless. Even though Wook has nothing on So, the mere fact that he can get under So's skin is what makes him a proper villain. Wook is frightening. He had no qualms about killing Mu, so what is there to stop him from hurting others to get what he wants? He is just as bad as Yo, if not worse. I want to see if YH will continue this charade with him, or decides to betray him when push comes to shove. I have no doubts she'll marry So, but what are the terms of their marriage? She is not getting his love, that's for sure.

People, just watch both versions. Don't choose, just do it. I do, because you get to see the missing scenes and reinterpret the episode. I watch each episode at least 4-5 times (yeah, I'm crazy). Each time, I notice something different. Aside from the editing, the songs they use during the same scenes also drive me mad. Sometimes it's appropriate and sometimes they're not. The SBS version seems to incorporate the songs better imo, esp. in ep 14, and there are scenes in international version that helps fill in the gaps of the story. You don't lose anything by rewatching the eps. Well...except maybe time.

A lot of people in Korea didn't watch ep 14 because they assumed it was canceled. Hence the lower rating.
The scene of child Wang So tied up as a hostage is part of what was skipped in episode 3. Hae Soo came to his room to return his hairpin, but left when she saw him having a nightmare of his childhood. Supposedly the Chungju Yu clan and Shinju Kang clan had a feud between them (which doesn't make sense to me as they're not geographically close), so when the Yus were attacking the Kangs for some reason, they put So up there to stop their attack. It is speculated that Mu was the one that saved him then. In ep 3, So wakes up and follows Soo to the stone piles and they have a discussion on motherhood that leads to So eventually deciding on covering up his mother's plot that was added later to the rerun version of the episode in Korea. This is also why when Wang So tells Hae Soo that he'll be living in the palace, she tells him to stop having bad dreams.
Thanks for this @ruizaio. OMG. So many missing pieces of the puzzle. No wonder I feel like I'm always missing something. This is an important development between the leads and So's backstory. This drama needed an extension to put all the parts together succinctly. If they just had 5 more episodes, that would've been enough. The rush is becoming evident.
@Immortal_Angel, thanks. Freaking A. Now I remember. I don't have any sympathy for them though. Even if it was for love.

Other things to comment on:
Wook, you bleepin’ bleep. How could you do that to Mu?! It’s so freaking sad. I love how Mu, given his vulnerable and confused state, knows Wook is up to something. He was ready to abdicate to So, knowing that So is his true ally and brother. I love that smirk he gives to Wook, and all Wook can do is throw shade at So. You pathetic piece of bleep! But why do you have to be so good WOOKing when you’re evil?! The conversation between Ji Mong and So makes it clear that So is politically savvy (calculating steps ahead), and he is angry that he keeps being robbed of his happiness over and over again for other people. This fact is going to push him to the breaking point and I can’t wait for him to act. As much as I love romantic So, I also love BAMF So.
Queen Yoo aka Queen Sofreakingcraycray…the freak is wrong with you?! How could you tie up your son and have soldiers shoot flaming arrows at him? WAEEE?! What has he done to you that you’d treat him that way?! My god, that scene is so painful to watch. I almost teared up when So remembered this piece of his childhood as he watches Mu push his daughter away. That memory is so raw. I hate that woman.
Poor Mu…death by poison and drowning. When Ji Mong cried holding his body, I also cried. Mu was a softie, and he didn’t deserve that kind of shameful death. I am so disappointed in Chae Ryung too, but my thoughts tell me she did it because she is in love with 9th. After all, she refused his reward when he offered. 9th is still trash and I cannot wait for his snakey face to eat it once it was revealed he helped orchestrate Mu’s death. I was indifferent about CR in the beginning, but now I don’t care if she gets steamed alive or worse. She knew what she was doing, and it sucks because she also betrays Hae Soo, who cared about her. Wait…does this mean Soo will get the blood letter like in the C-version?!
Wook still singing to the tune that he’s doing all these evil stuff for Soo. Dude, who you kidding? How do you think she’ll feel and say when she realizes you were slowly killing the king with mercury, the very same king who Soo genuinely cared about and treated her well? You imbecile. I thought you were smarter than this. You’re much lowlier than Yo, who is at least honest about what he wants. Snakes in the grass are the worse. Wook momma, what are you gonna do? Lecture him to death? Is YH still pinning for So? Looks like Wook and her are on different pages now.
Speaking of Yo. Yes, he can’t wait to reunite with his eyeliner. This is the true reason he wants the throne; is to be inseparable from his precious eyeliner. Dat love is pure folks. He survived a cliff dive, and grew a beard and mullet for that eyeliner. Freaking thing won’t die and I cannot wait until he does. I don’t care if it’s Wook or So who ends him. Heck, it would be great if it’s YH. That at least gives me a small amount of respect for her. Very small. I also want to see how devastated Queen Sofreakingcraycray will be when her precious Yo eats it. Too bad, you backed up the wrong son. Jung, please have a conscience and fight for the right side. I know you’re family and all, but you gotta know the difference between what’s right and wrong. Clearly, you’re on the wrong side of the fence. Hurry over to join So and cast away your differences.
Finally, So is faced with a dilemma. He will be a dog to Yo for Soo’s sake, but not for long. I think having So forced to kill 10th is the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Soo will have to witness this since in the preview because she is with 10th and SD. YH may help the baddies get to them. I just hope Soo won’t misunderstand So and backs away from him. 10th is her friend. Her sadness will be magnified if she sees that her lover is the one who kills her friend. Soo’s visions are coming true, one by one. My heart is going to ache tomorrow. Just when 10th and his wife are getting along and falling in love. Omo. I just can’t.
After this, I foresee the rebellion coming from So, BA, and the General. Maybe with the help of the Kangs? Ji Mong and the General both hinted that So can control Shinju now, given that he’s married to the princess (thanks Mu). That’s the only way I can see So having an army strong enough to fight Yo’s army. Remember that Wook ordered for all the clan’s private army join the royal army. So, this is your wakeup call homie. Time to fight for the throne. Time for Gwangjong to rise.
Sorry if my comments are disjointed. I can’t string things together because my emotions are all over the place right now. We’re nearing the end and it seems everything is working against SoSoo ship. Every time we get something happy, we pay for it ten folds. I must love pain.

Jeez. Episode 14 was such an emotional rollercoaster ride. It made me feel uneasy, scared, excited, and hungry for more.
My thoughts on SoSoo in this episode: Soo and So are finally committed to one another, but that isn't to say it was an easy road to get there. I love how their romance appeared seamless because of the slow buildup of Soo and So's relationship over the last 13 episodes. I also love how little by little, Soo is beginning to understand So a little more and she is amazed by him every time, one evidence being that she was impressed by his poem and surprised he could write like that. It’s the little things about So the tug at her heart. His playfulness on the boat and his howling to get her attention. Funny that she knew it was him making all that racket and in my mind she must be thinking, “This cheeky prince is up to no good.” She can't help but be drawn to him, like a moth to a fire.
Throughout the episode, you could tell that Soo is love-struck. Soo dresses up for So, complete with hairpin. She checks it to ensure it's there's perfectly set and So sees this, bringing a smile to his beautiful face. The pin a symbol of their love, and she is wearing it proudly in contrast to how she keeps rejecting it before. Last time it was in So's hands. How did she get it back from him? O_o; Anyways, everything So says and does affects her mind, body, and soul. Look at how disappointed she looked when So said he forgot what he wanted to tell her before they went on their boat ride. She seemed a little down, and So could tell, which was why he rocked the boat to lift her spirits. He asked if she was having her hopes up about the important thing he has to say. She says she isn't. You little liar. LOL. The timing of their date was off because of So’s marriage announcement, but nevertheless, he wanted to create a good day for him and Soo. Then on the boat ride, after Soo realized that he’ll remain by her side, and that he’ll never have to turn away from things he like again, she smiles. Look at the way she looks at him when he smiles. So looks like he’s sparkling against the glow of the sun, and this mesmerizes Soo. I LOVE how this scene was shot. The SBS version has Lee Hi’s Can You Heart My Heart playing in the background, which is very fitting. Soo is back to her old self, but you can tell she is proceeding with caution. Soo has grown from her hardships. She knows she’s got it bad for So, but she tries to put a little distance, maybe to protect herself. The problem is, So can completely undo her barriers just with his eyes. He isn’t the type to just give up because she tells him to. You’ve gotta hand it to her though, falling in love for the third time after being burned twice is pretty admirable of Soo. It would be hard for most to fall in love again, but So is not just some ordinary man and you can’t choose who you fall in love with. You just do. And it looks like she’s over Wook, but his name and thoughts of him are still thorns at her side.
The stargazing date is romantic in so many ways. First, we see a parallel between WookSoo and SoSoo. So holds out his hand to Soo the same way Wook has done before, but of course the circumstance is different. I could spot a bit of hesitancy from Soo, but you can tell she finally took his hand because she trusts him and loves him. And remember, the universe which is comprised of the moon and stars, is what ties these two lovebirds together. In the beginning, Soo remarks that she could see stars that only show up in Goryeo. So echoes her words when he returns to the palace to shack up in Jimong’s place. And now, we see the two lovers sitting side by side watching the stars together, only this time their circumstance and relationship has changed. Again, So watches Soo as she is explaining about the stars. He is enamored by her all over again. This again mirrors the first time they watched the stars together (the first snow fell afterwards). But finally this time, Soo catches him watching her. That difference shows the growth of their relationship, and Soo is now acknowledging him. She is now watching him too, and she is happy to see him smiling. That is when he is the most lovable to her. I also love when she stops him from kissing her three times and played hard to get. The sulking So is an endearing So, which Soo can’t help but find adorable. See her smile?
Other SoSoo scenes has gotten me all twisted up. When Soo hears about So’s marriage, she is heartbroken. You see her sitting in the Damiwon looking all dejected, and then he comes to confirm the news without telling her the reason why he was doing it. Soo tears up because she is hurt, especially having to hear the news from someone else other than So. In her mind, she is thinking about their promise and is feeling disappointed and sad that the promise is broken. So, being the ever considerate person, was not going to make excuses for his actions unlike someone –coughWookcough- because he knows she’ll be hurt either way. He knows Soo hates polygamy, but there was no other way to tell her (that is, until he was forced to to clear up their misunderstanding).
Then Soo traces So’s letter over and over again, but the meaning of the poem is lost to her because of how sad and disappointed she feels. You can tell that Soo loves So very much just by this action alone. She is trying to understand his feelings, but no matter how many times she traces his letters, she can't help but feel saddened at the thought of losing him. Her tears are evidence that she loves him very much. The words unsaid are eating at her. Soo is a practical woman – she doesn’t want pretty poems to explain things…like someone –coughWookcough-. She wants So to just explain things as it is. This misunderstanding causes a conflict between them; I have a feeling more like this is to come. In the end, Soo shows So how she is upset with him by lying to him about Jung. So sees right through her, and is upset that she would go that far to anger him. He hates liars as he said and hates that she of all people is lying to him. He stands outside her door boiling, but chooses to go to her the next day and drag her out of Damiwon to let her explain her actions.
That moment outside of Damiwon is one of my favorite SoSoo scenes, next to the backhug (which is oddly my favorite). Soo and So finally lets out whatever has been bothering them and they come to a mutual understanding. Soo is relieved to hear So’s reasons for marrying the princess, and is amazed yet again by how kind, thoughtful, and honest he really is. Again, he touches her heart, which is why she went in for the kiss. How can anyone not love this man? He proves to her again that he is not after the throne, but is sacrificing himself to save others. That’s the So she fell in love with and she is glad he has not changed (yet?). And So, our resident clueless prince, is happy to learn that Soo is not in love with Jung…LOL. But it breaks my heart thinking about how he’ll react when he learns that Wook was Soo’s former lover, which I’m sure is the ace up Wook’s sleeves (and leading to more misunderstandings between SoSoo…heollll!). Anyways, I LOVE how Soo initiates the kiss after So tells her he loves her. That smile, OHMYGERD. She really is in love with him. That shocked look on So’s face, LOL. Daaang. They are both screwed, LOL. So couldn’t believe her at first, but then he’s like... “Well…since you gave me permission…”. And LJK-ah. Those kissing practices sure paid off, I could tell. If you need more practice, I’ll volunteer as tribute. PM for my number! Joking aside, daaaang, boy. My heart. The way he caresses her hair and her cheek before he kisses her back. The way his eyes moves to her lips and he leans in slowly. The kiss was so innocent and sweet, but I can’t help but think dirty thoughts. Like how great would their bed scenes be? His lips are moving, right? Don’t just stand there Soo. Hell, I want some tongue action, panting, and moaning, please! –ahem- Pardon me.
Anyways, I can’t help but feel uneasy for the next episodes. So is forced into a corner now and I’m sure he’ll have to go through drastic measures to cut himself free of being used by others. This may mean more misunderstandings between SoSoo and more heartbreak. The only way to be free is to become king. Buckle up, kids. I’ll comment more on other things, but I had to get SoSoo off my chest. God, I love them.

@Hanazumi, I agree that Wook won't die, but he will be punished for his crimes. It will be imprisonment. And yes, he will live with regrets as Lady Oh has foreshadowed. If the story follows the C-version, he is to drink poison. I don't think it will happen, but it'll be pretty sad alright.

@riuenu, thanks for sharing. I love how So and Soo's outfits compliment one another. That's your Goryeo era couple t-shirt, right thurrr.
Omigod, the preview. Way to go Wookie, kick the Teddy Bear while he's down. This guy has no shame, but that's what will make him a great villian. So, my beloved, just end his misery already. He's totally asking for it. Thanks for sharing, peeps. I hope 14 airs as scheduled.

As a random side note, I quite miss IU's previous costumes...since she has become a court lady she hasn't been able to wear as many pretty / elaborate costumes as compared to before.
I really hope that when she starts her epic romance with WS she can start to wear more pretty costumes!! I can't wait for the scene where she wears his hairpin as her outfit looks quite beautiful (I can appreciate female eye candy too, when it is someone as beautiful as IU)
Perhaps we'll get our wish of seeing Soo in prettier outfits...when she MARRIES So. That better happen, at least. Even if she isn't recorded in history as his first legal wife, as long as their union is acknowledged (and consummated) between them, I am satisfied.
Yes, it would suck to have the ratings get hit because of the separate airing schedules, but I still want my healthy dose of SHR on Moonday. I have a test to study for, and I could use a nice distraction. The stargazing BTS and stills do not help my anxiety. I need that dose now!
By the way, from those stills, is Mu clutching onto a red hanbok or is it a blanket? Maybe it's his daughter's. In that scene, I know Wook is taking advantage of his vulnerable state, but it's still sad to see him going down this dark path to power. If he is still conspiring with Yo and 9th, which I wouldn't be surprised if he was, then sucks for him. He 'aint getting the girl back, that's for sure. I also pity Mu - he was another person in the palace who regarded So with kindness and saw him as a brother, even though he was a weak person. Poor Teddy Bear.
Okay, so it looks like Queen Yoo's hair is back to black. This is probably during the time when Yo becomes King, so there must be a time skip. I know the minute Mu dies, Yo becomes king. He will likely try to frame Soo for hurting Mu, but we know So knows everything. He will fight off those guards Yo brings along. Maybe he will take Soo and BA, and leave the palace. Then we get more romance time with SoSoo. Based on the 7 min preview, it looks like Yo will be killed off; it appeared as if he was stabbed or slashed by some unknown person. His regin will be short. Only then will So ascend the throne. I think the marriage between So and Yeonhwa will happen as it's been hinted throughout the lastest eps. Same with 14th's courting of Soo. And the fact that 9th and Chae Ryung is still around means they'll have a role to play too. 9th will die by So's hands like in history, and I have a feeling 10th will also die with his wife as Soo's visions have come true for the most part. With So and BA away from the palace (or on the run) only 10th stands as a threat to Yo, which may be a reason he goes after 10th. Could have somethings to do with SD being the general's daughter too. Wook and Won will be on Yo's side, and Jung is not a threat to Yo. I don't think So will be responsible for attacking 10th, but rather as someone said, he has to put him out of his misery. His laugh may not be from malice, but from madness and heartache that he couldn't protect 10th and had to again, wield a blade against his sibling. After 10th's death, So could be leading an army to take down Yo, Won, and Wook. Wook may be imprisoned for conspiracy later as I don't see any signs/images that he'll become king. 9th will be executed.
SpoilerWhat I am worried about is, based on Soo's visions, she'll get to see So ascend the throne as well. The image of him turning his head all dressed as a king during the rain ritual gave me the chills. I believe it will happen. What I want to know is where Soo will be at this time...will she be an unofficial wife to 4th and will she witness the marriage between YH and So (his hair is in a top knot by the time he becomes King); thus, breaking her heart? Will So and Soo lose their precious baby? Will she, like the lyrics in Lee Hi's My Love song watch So from afar, after leaving the palace and letting him go? Will Soo tell So she is from the future? And like the C version, will she get sick and die in 14th's arms while longing for 4th? And dammit, will we get a K version of C - version's theme song, 3 Inches of Heaven? My heart can't take it if that happens.
Spoiler- 18

@LyraYoo, thanks for sharing. I love ALL of So's outfits, but my favorite are his red and black (when Soo put BB cream on him for the first time), his black and gold royalty garb, and especially his black and silver outfit in the latest episode 13. MY GOODNESS THAT MAN IS A GOD. I think of all the princes, he has the most outfit changes and he looks dashing in all of them. People have claimed that SHR's main character is not So, but Wook, but if he's not the main character, he shouldn't be getting the royal treatment in the costume department. He even has better/more outfits than Wook. You'd expect gaudy/bling bling Yo to have all those outfit changes, but nope.

Some thoughts on ep 13. Sorry, on iPad again so my post will be a it choppy. As a SoSoo shipper, I am satisfied with this episode.
We start with Soo recalling the moment So proposed to her. I would like to remind us that Soo was startled to hear the reason why So would become king, which in his words, he would do it for her. To give her freedom. To be at peace with her. This is what Soo has been seeking all this time. To live a life that is free, and not be controlled by anyone. His words warms Soo's heart because deep down she knows he is sincere, and he does have the capability to do what he promises. She is surprised still, by the extent of his love and sacrifice. She again, is moved by him. She hesitates, but pushes the hairpin back to So, who is at this point thinking, "Dang it, not again. Now I gotta do this all over." If Soo really wasn't considering his offer and it was a true rejection, then why did she think about it afterwards? Answer: she is in love.
Contrasting to Wook, who says he is also going to become king for her sake, we learned that his words are not sincere. He has other motives for seeking the throne, but most importantly he wants power. Yes, the situations with Soo and his family all led him there, but Soo can see right through him, saying that he is fooling himself. He wants to break free from the chain of helplessness. He wants respect, and for the system (and people in it) to stop looking down on him and his family. It's his pride and ego that is driving him towards the throne, more than it being about Soo and what she wants. KHN said in an interview that So and see the same things, but they approach it differently. This is a parallel between the two, both in how they love Soo and their reason to fight for the throne.
I love all the scenes where Soo begins to unravel these desires of his. He's starting to show a side of him she never saw before - the ugly side, which breaks her Prince Charming illusion of him. When he asked her if the king died, she couldn't really digest what she was witnessing - the scary nature in Wook. She was losing trust in him. Look at how broken she looks after their talk. She couldn't believe her ears and eyes that this was the Wook she loved. Commiting treason? That's not Wook, she thought. She is still in denial, but the truth is tugging at her conscience. Then the mourning for the king, she offered to go with him because she had a small hope he was still the Wook she knew, and he downright rejected her knowing that she is not enough for him. He needed power, like he says. He has to gain power because what will happen when another problem rises? He couldn't bear being powerless again, so that is more important to him than being with Soo, which contrast So's reasons because Soo is all So needs. As So says, the throne means nothing without Soo and he is nothing without her. Also, Wook had his pride broken when he found out Soo begged So to spare him. Before that, he saw Soo standing behind the pillar behind So, which pissed him off and prompted him to attack So all of a sudden. He is broken by her betrayal even more when she sought for So's help, thus choosing So over him. Jealousy is apparent. Soo asked him if he ever once thought she was sincere about her feelings, but he never answers her. As the audience, we see that in his heart, he always had his doubts and lost his trust in Soo. She also realizes Wook was using her and of all things to hurt So, who she has come to love. That goes against her belief of not wanting to be controlled by others. Finally it seals the deal in her walking away from him. Him trying to gain her love? Fat chance. Soo is over you, Wook! Losing trust in each other is what broke WookSoo, but ironically trust is what is building SoSoo. Soo completely trusts So, evidence by her searching for him to tell him the king had died. The king specifically tells her not to trust anyone, but she finds So and immediately tells him everything. She trusts him. She loves him. She believes he can save the day. He is a hero in her eyes.
The shift in Soo's trust and loyalty breaks Wook's heart and pride. Soo completely trusts So, which marks a milestone in their development. For a solid relationship to occur, it has to be built with trust and that's what Soo and So are developing. Chingus, there is a lot of parallels between So and Wook surrounding Soo and the throne battle. You can't just see it as just Wook getting all the developments. You see So becoming more human with each episode, and at the same time Wook becoming more of a monster. When Soo reached out and hugged So when he was crying, she started to see the real Gwangjong, who would hurt over a siblings's death. This is genius writing, because it dissolves her fear of Gwanjong as a monster who kills his brothers, and brings Soo closer to So. She has the front seat and sees everything and every side of him. She will love him fo who he is, including the good and bad. She and him have been hurt by the people they love. They can relate, this are on another level together. Soo is beginning to grow as a woman as well. She was just a naive girl in the beginning, about life and love, but her hardships and change in feelings for the two men is also making her change. She is maturing, both in love and as a person.
For the record, LJK looks soooo freaking majestic and sexy in his black and silver outfit. Especially on his horse. My god, that is my favorite outfit of his. He looks like a true hero of the show. I love all his scenes in the episode. He is smiling more too. His convos with Soo is getting better. She goes to him first for everything now, lol, and she smiles more around him His scene with the king was so heartbreaking too, and booooy that man can cry! Dang it, IU is one lucky woman! How does she keep herself cool around a man like that?

After this scene I would say Queen Yoo have feelings for the King too.
Which also parallels to YW's love to Wang So
Then this , so true ! (And I love the tree. And we know Wang So loves trees. )
Omg, the parallel is there. You got it! Soo = Lady Oh. So = Taejo. YH = Queen Yoo. Please, please, please don't let our OTP suffer the same fate. And hah! Take that Queen Beeche, you lost. You may have title, but she has the King's heart!

Man, I wasn't even touched when Wook said, "I love you." to Soo. Not because I'm a SoSoo shipper, but because the foundation of their love was so weak. They had all these pretty scenes in the beginning of the drama, but they never hit me in the heart like SoSoo scenes do. With them, I just sighed.
But when So says, "I love you." to Soo. OHMYGERD! I melt, and I'm sure Soo must've become a puddle too. Coupled with all those heartbreaking and happy scenes between them, his words radiate in me much more because the foundation of their love is so much stronger. That journey of theirs was a rough one. It finally got there, but it was a long and hard road. His words, I believe him MUCH more than I would believe Wook, in terms of loving Soo. We've been watching the differences between the two men in Soo's life. We know who actually LOVE Soo more, and can prove it. Us as audience can finally say, "Ah, now I get it. It makes sense why Soo choose So." And even the sad times between So and Soo becomes party of their love story - it's not always rainbows and butterflies, but it's those developments that make all the happy ones so much more satisfying and heart felt. The rarer, the more beautiful and powerful. And yes to someone saying there should be a bed scene. I want marriage and kids too. I want a happy ending! Gaaah. I can't think straight.
I am going to drive happily to school now and my classmates will think I've gone crazy. This drama (aside from seeing/being with my boyfriend) is the only thing I look forward to after class. My classmates always ask me where I go after lab since I always seem to disappear right after, and they realized now that I rush home and forget social outings just to binge on this drama. This drama makes me happy. It takes away my stress from school. It makes me believe even more in love and that it prevails (yes, I do love strongly). My boyfriend and I watch the drama together. He enjoys it too, mostly the throne fighting aspect, but he is also rooting for SoSoo. I am amazed at times that he catches things I miss while watching together. He saw the breakup between WookSoo even before me. And he tells me not to give up on them. He empathizes with So - he understands him and that's why he says to be patient and says, "Don't worry, baby. Soo will come around. Isn't that how I got you?" Hahaha! I'm so pathetic. All because of this drama. xD

Hah! I knew it! Soo loved So all along - I never doubted that. I haven't seen the episode yet (will watch when my class ends), but OMG. My poor heart. I can't handle these feels.
The preview of Soo accepting So and kissing him FIRST! It's no longer So --> Soo. It's now Soo <--> So! YAAASSS! I'm doing my happy dance. Finally, Soo, you are being honest with YOUR FEELINGS. You love him, girl. YOU BLEEEEEEEEEEPING LOVE HIM! I cannot wait for all these romantic scenes between them. Soo and So look so natural together. Between Wook and Soo, their scenes are so full of restraint...daring to go there, but not daring to go further. But with Soo and So, they're themselves and they are limitless together. The star gazing. The boat ride. Soo dressed up and wearing So's hairpin, waiting for him in the secret place only they know about. Her accepting him. His smile and laugh when he sees her. His confession - I LOVE YOU. Her smiling back at him. Her watching So as he is basked in the ray of sunshine as he is rowing their boat. His beauty. Her beauty. The Goryeo dating style. DAT KISS! Lip-kisses are only reserved for OTPs in this show. It's all in the details, details, details. Prepare yourselves, folks. THEY ARE IN LOVE! The WookSoo has sunk to the bottom of the ocean with no trace left behind. Our SoSoo ship is sailing at full speeds ahead!
But then...I realized all of these emotions and scenes will serve to hurt us later. The more we ship, the harder we will crash and burn. I am scared, but I am excited too for the future that lies ahead for our OTP. We are getting that epic romance; the building of each character, the love that transcends time. Gah, I love this drama.

People, that convo Soo had with Wook was an official break up. There was nothing romantic about it. A year had passed, Soo never got her closure up until that point. She was verifying if what she had with Wook was real, and it was to a point. She was relieved that she wasn't the only one feeling it, and that she wasn't suffering just on her own. Now all he does is utter excuses, which she interrupts because she was sick of listening to them. She knows he can't promise her anything or he can't fulfill them, which is why she tells him she's seen enough of it and for him to not hurt himself while trying. When he tells her not to get hurt, so that it won't make him feels sorrier than he was, that hit her. What he feels is only sympathy and pity towards her. The flames of their love had died. Watch the scene again. It is clear that Soo is heading towards acceptance of their separation. She is not delulu, she is just trying to understand why and cope with it. Cut her some slack. She was traumatized. She loved Wook and those weren't cheap feelings she had, which is why it's taking long for her to get over it. She is beginning to realize that her love wasn't enough to keep them together and make them happy. His words and promises towards her make that clear.
I keep playing the reunion scene between So and Soo over and over again. That was such a romantic and beautiful scene. Soo catches a glimpse of So watching her, but she thought she was hallucinating. Then as she hangs the last sheet, she begins to think of So and you see tears welling in her eyes. She finally realizes she misses him. When she feels his presence and hears his voice, she is startled...as if she is waking from a dream. Then when he holds her, she doesn't pull away. She stays, even though she knows she shouldn't. She accepted his embrace because she missed him too. Even though she pulled away, she still showed him concern about his face. When he removes his mask, she is relieved. She can't help but gaze longingly at him; it's the face that is familiar to her, that makes her heart flutter, the one that invokes so much emotions in her. Do you know how many times she has gotten a good luck at his face? She practically remembers every inch of it. Clearly, she loves him, but she is in denial. Her body and monologues are evidence of her growing feelings. She just doesn't understand why she is feeling that way towards So, especially when she was so certain she loved another. It is becoming hard to forget and let go of So. You cannot choose the person you love - it just happens.
As for the part where she tells him she doesn't want to see him because he reminds her of all the horrible things about the palace, it's true. He almost died to save her. He defied the king to save her. He was punished and sent off because of her. He was happy in the palace and she caused him to leave. Soo feels responsible for all the misfortune that happened, but most importantly for the misfortune that fell on him, the person she unknowingly loves and cares for. See how her words are a mixture of concern even as she is trying to push him away. She is just trying to protect him and everyone from more heartache. She blames So, but she is really blaming herself. She is just trying desperately to make him forget her, to hate her, give up on her, and those were her desperate pleas to him. And those words, which stung, does little to dissuade So. We know it takes more than that because So can see through Soo. He will do whatever it takes to make her happy, even at the cost of his own. He doesn't mind hurting himself for her, and that scares her.
The proposal scene shows that Soo is beginning to accept history. She will help So become king. She accepts his destiny and also inching towards accepting him. When she asked him about choosing the throne, she is startled to hear that the throne means nothing if he can't be with her. Just look at her face. She was so taken by surprise by his words, almost moved enough to accept his proposal. Look at her hesitation in pushing the hairpin back. Again, we see her feelings begin to change for So. She will look at So in a new light, and help him achieve the throne. When she realizes how Wook has "changed" into a cold and calculating throne hungry monster, she will finally let him go. She will know why So is pursuing the throne, and it isn't because he is a fratricidal maniac like she once thought. She will now see the rise of Gwangjong and realize that he was no monster, because So is not a monster. He is in actuality a good person with a kind heart and kindred soul. He is the love of her life. She will eventually let Wook know she chose So and give him back the bracelet. That's letting go. I cannot wait to see Soo wearing So's hairpin. That's complete acceptance. That is when we know she acts on her feelings. She is already in love with So, as we have been watching.
Watch the scenes again if you don't see these things the first time around. I was angry at first, then I took a break, nice shower, and watched the scenes again. I always pick up on new things, new analysis and nuances. Sorry if I sound incoherent. Typing on iPad.
