The Guest is definitely a dark and heavy drama but I would say it's less heavy than OCN's Save Me.  I'm a fan of horror genre and I always watch horror movies. Hence, The Guest is normal for me, it's not that scary for me. Heheheh. Or try to watch his cameo scene in C'est Si Bon. I was frightened seeing him slapped Han Hyo Joo. 

     

    I watched The Guest with low expectation and was captivated by his acting when he performed his first exorcism in ep 2. I don't know how to describe it, the way he recited prayer and his gaze at the possessed is enough to draw me into that drama. And I was also like "Damn, why does he look hot when he is actually just reciting the prayer" :sweatingbullets:

     

    Then, I decided to watched Voice when The Guest was still airing. I was blown away by his acting as Mo Tae Gu. He picked Temperature of Love after Voice and HPL after The Guest. So I have a feeling that his next project might be a dark and heavy role again.

First of all, if U have a boyfriend like Ryan Gold, U are crazy if you just kiss him once or twice. Don't forget that Deok Mi is a fangirl (fangirl always love fanfictions) and we see for our selves that her imagination is wild (blindfold kiss imagination). She got a boyfriend that is amazingly handsome and her type, can be cute, very caring and overal has good personality (always saying sorry first), having the same passion in art, and understanding to her hobby as a fangirl: almost too good to be true. If I am Deok Mi, I'll also will shower him with love, hug and kisses. It is illogical if the writer opt for less skinship. I think other TvN Drama, Another Oh Hae Young also has a lot of kisses, true to the OTP character.

     

    I do also think that people who comment that PMY character or the HPL plot is too similar to WWWSK just don't get it. WWWSK use childhood story as plot device to bridge different social status between the OTP (chaebol and her secretary) and due to his trauma YJ cannot be with other adult women: Miso is his one and only. While in HPL their bond is through the same passion: art, their childhood connection is not the reason that they are together now.

     

    In WWWSK YJ chose to hide his identity for 9 years, sacrificing himself, so Mi So won't get hurt, but finally made a move coz he was not willing to loose her. In HPL nothing was kept secret for too long, when the pain from the past appear, they handled it together maturely. Between two dramas, there are vast differences in OTP characters and how they handled issues in their relationship.

     

    I love HPL, but I also still love WWWSK (I love PSJ since One Warm Words). Both HPL and WWWSK in my opinion are good rom-com kdrama. And oh I also still loves Healer so much.

     

    No wonder PMY, fastly agree to work in HPL right after WWWSK, because she was falling in love and cannot forget DM character. Here in HPL, Deok Mi is a bold girl who do not afraid to take the lead (Mi So is more pure, at one time she felt that YJ was moving too fast in their relationship). There are similarity between Deok Mi and Mi So, that they are a sweet cheerful girl who competent and professional in their job, but poor Mi So did not have a luxury of work-life balance, while Deok Mi does balance her work with her private life. I think PMY briliant in both roles.

     

    Through her acting, I can see Young Shin, Mi So and Deok Mi as different personality. So kudos to her. PMY's acting shines more if she is paired with a co-star with a good acting skill (remember that trainwreck drama involving ever beautiful mr. Hand Towel_the most handsome of PMY's co-star_ where PMY's acting was wasted, and OTP was not believable). Ji Chang Wook, Park Seo Joon and Kim Jae Wook, all very handsome with good acting skill, so their collaboration with PMY are resulting in some of the best Kdrama OTP pairings, even initiate the fanwar between shippers. As for me, I'll be happy for PMY, whoever she chose as a real life partner.

    As usual, RG once again shown is his matured character to understand the whole situation without being typical kdrama male lead character.. I'm so proud of RG!!. All conflict between him and DM's family solved in this episode..

     

    I really love the scene where RG wiped off DM tears..I was hoping this scene to happen...and once again, i really love the writer and pdnim for showing us the scene. You all know that we only watched the BTS of KJW wiped off PMY tears a few times, not in the drama. But now, I'm glad that Director decided to put this scene in the drama :D

     

    KJW shi!! I hope you will play more rom com drama that will make us goes crazy like what you did in this drama..Looking forward to see again your hand in the pocket scene in your future drama..because that hand in the pocket scene is definitely KJW, not RG :lol:

    i have this feelings that KJW next drama gonna be SBS drama. This SBS suddenly uploaded a lot of KJW scene in Bad Guy drama...i guess SBS staff also goes crazy over KJW after watching HPL :w00t:

    One of those is that since PMY had recently gone through some tough times dealing with unwanted issues with her former on screen partner, i initially expected that she would've acted somewhat 'cold' toward KJW during filming.

Many people commented that they did not seem comfortable at all when they were first introduced on stage and taken pictures together by the media audience.     So, i though i had it right. Until i saw two particular videos soon after.

    The first one was their mini bickering during the same occasion, where PMY argued that KJW suggested to "kill" one of the scenes in the episode 6.

    The second video that really surprised me was the one that shows KJW's witty remark about how he could see nothing else but her PMY's teeth when they did the photoshoot for the drama's poster, and she just instantly cracked up at the time, 

     

    For someone who overtly stated how much last year's issue had really troubled her beyond words could ever say, PMY appears, dare i say, fearlessly bold, during HPL. Fully knowing that the exact same issue might possibly resurface, since her chemi with KJW is scary (in the best way obviously), she seems to have determined to fully enjoy her time with KJW to the fullest.

    Not in the let's-act-all-lovey-dovey-since-we-are-doing-romcom-genre way, but more in the let's-both-be-ourselves-and-treat-each-other-genuinely-for-real type of perspective. Hence, we can see how endearing their interactions have always been.

     

    Most people say PMY acts differently this time toward her leading man, other say she looks so comfortable in communicating with KJW in between takes, and even  more during interviews. Yet, in my personal view, she "changed" into no one else but herself.

    It's just who she is, that bubbly and bright personality is the real PMY. Why? For based on my personal observation, she has always been that way when she was interviewed alone. Another example was when she did her variety show debut, Busted season 1. PMY in that show is the same lady i see in the BTS clips of HPL, an energized and funny gal. Not many people see this side of her because normally she would appear composed, calm and rather restrained on the drama set. She wants to get her job done professionally. That's why she did her best by minimizing NGs, like any great actors would do.

     

    Simply put, instead of simply interacting comfortably toward KJW, PMY finally gets to be her actual self and do whatever she wants to do comfortably in her own pace, even if it means looking rather silly in front of her audience, her fans and most importantly, her co-star. No more cold-city-lady vibe being exuded toward her co-star, and instead, she chooses to simply be that feisty lady that she is. And that lucky co-star is (thankfully) our ever roaring Lion, Mr. Gold. Why this could happen !?

     

    Possibility #1, KJW has been persistently such an gentleman and a joker to her that made her at ease even before the filming process took place.

     

    Possibility #2, She enjoys being around his positive energy. And by 'energy' i mean his laughter, for that even warms my screen and my heart.

     

    Possibility #3, they had a lot of mutual friends that even though they didn't know each other at all prior to HPL, it was relatively easier for them to get closer when they talk about the same acquaintance and possibly similar incidents with any particular friends of them.

     

     

    Possibilty #4, after trying so impossibly hard last year to suppress down that controversial issue turned out brought PMY in some more emotional burden, she's most likely had enough with it and decided to go with her guts instead this time. Instead of worrying her image too much and reaction when BTS cameras are rolling, she determined to enjoy her work more, laugh more often with her leading man and mind less about what others might think. She was rumored to have special relationship with her co-star when she clearly didn't, when she had tried her best to be super professional on set and eventually missed all the fun on the set (unlike KJW who clearly had a blast every time he had a project, i.e his interaction with a child actor on The Guest when they did exorcism scene B))

     

    Possibly #5 She likes him. Coz, gurlllll...she surely know how to do some subtle moves naturally.:wub:  Not that i complain tho. That's not the case at all. She had never been this extra chatty, witty and cutie (if that''s a word) toward her previous partner before. So, that finger wrestle during rakuten interview stunned me so much and yet warmed my heart.

     

    I'm not trying to go entirely delulu here, kay, but if i were a well known public figure, every single of my moves would be watched, right. And sometimes being too careful might potentially suffocate one's soul, they can hardly breathe normally, and yet still people refuse to let the rumors slip away. So, instead, there will be that one time in life when i just want to break free from that image cage and live at the moment. From that perspective alone, i'd do exactly what PMY has been doing these days.

    PMY is my favorite actress and she is so shippable with all of her costars. I shipped her with a few of those she’s been with but I can’t help it. KJW is just on another level. I didn’t think anyone could top the last person I shipped her with but BOY WAS I WRONG. It doesn’t help that KJW is husband material as well and PMY is nearing her 35 y/o wish. I love how comfortable they are on screen. It makes my heart flutter. Especially last week’s BTS and how flushed PMY’s face was, and PMY rarely shows herself blushing during kiss scenes. We all know KJW must have felt it too because he’s red almost all the time :D!

    Could you let me know which bts is it? If I could have the link, it would be amazing.

    And honestly, KJW is doing really well. There’s this FB community with 600K+ followers and most of KJW-related posts lately have at least 20k likes. And that’s saying something because usual posts get on average a few thousand likes or less. I guess you can say he’s going viral.

    Oh really? That s amazing as It is frustrating for such a talented actor like him only getting to do lead role recently. After his stellar performance in voice, I thought he would be doing lead roles but only this Yr, he got the chance. I want him to be more successful.
