People focused way too much on the title track "And goodbye". Even though the lyrics may very well apply to Yoona and their relationship, fact of the matter is, unless they lied about it, the song was composed by Kim Do Hoon, who composed other of his hit songs.
In reality the whole album could be dedicated to her, because minus the 4th track and the 8th track, which is dedicated to his fans, they can all be love songs. But I think the real song for Yoona is the 5th track: 그대와 나 You and me.
"Love" and "You and I" are tracks that led Lee Seung To to make this 6th album. In "Love," Lee Seung Gi calmly expresses his feelings toward love and in "You and I," he captures attention by not expressing a break up as a sad moment but a memory. Lee Seung Gi also participated in rearranging this track and displayed his musical talents.
The lyrics and the music are very sad but they fit with their relationship, and he sings it so differently than the rest, with a much mature tone:

In a way I admire Sulli & Jessica. Sulli withdrew from her group and Jessica was kicked out, but they both had the guts to follow their man.
I can't help but think there was a genuine fear that Yoona was being "taken away", and that couldn't happen in any way.
Yoona's responsibility is way bigger than those two's.

Yoona and LSG have probably the best documented love story out of all the couples. This relationship didn't just happen out of the blue, it was carefully developed and fostered throughout the years.
I always loved Yoona's & Yuri's friendship. They're perhaps the closest amongst SNSD members, and the fact that Yuri always knew is a testament to that.
2009:
LSG picks Yoona over Sooyoung.
2011:
Yuri has been trying to catch Yoona's attention who was on the other side MC'ing, but without having LSG notice (but maybe he did notice). She finally succeeds, and this happens.
Late 2012 / Early 2013:
I don't think they were in a real relationship here, but they were definitely in contact with each other.
2015:
And of course when it was known to all.
We're talking YEARS of liking and having feelings for someone. This doesn't just disappear at the click of your fingers.
All the rumours about Yoona's ex's and who she might've dated before LSG always made me laugh. That's not to say that she couldn't have dated anyone else, but for anyone paying attention, Yoona was always enamoured with LSG, and it was for real.
I believe in these two. I believe they're destined/fated to be with each other. They certainly did.

There's still a long way to go until LSG returns from his military service, 16 months to be exact.
It's actually quite simple: If Yoona starts to date someone in this timeframe, then I'd say it's nearly game over, but I wouldn't completely shut the door.
However, if she doesn't, then at the very least, I'd view that as a very good sign.

cindy, was there ever really anything between JJ & HHJ? I mean concrete evidence (not just rumours, like someone reading in a magazine they broke up because they're both busy) to suggest that there was something going on between them?
But then concrete evidence would only constitute either of them admitting it, and neither of them have.
In an old interview HHJ said how the crew and everyone had gotten really close and friendly and they were all hugging at the party, but that only the photos of her and Hero made their way online, as if someone wanted to allude something that wasn't, in fact, real.

I'm so happy to read that about LSG & HHJ. They're always mentioning each other. They grew up together in the industry. You know, It's not unheard of that 2 long time friends end up getting together later on in life.
When LSG chose MCW over HHJ in his ideal world cup back in 2009 (he actually struggled a lot, and SNSD's Seohyun was mumbling "HHJ! HHJ!" she was so disappointed when he chose MCW instead lol) I always thought something was fishy, because his ideal girl (and almost everybody's) was always Yoona, and HHJ (at least when it comes to facial features) was/is the most similar to her.
(CUTEST GIRLS EVER! 2009 FTW!)
But then I recalled that MCW chose him over Lee Min-ho, so maybe he felt he'd be doing her a disservice if he chose HHJ over her.
It's just that as far as appearances goes, I thought it didn't make much sense for Seung gi to choose MCW over HHJ back in the day. But like I said before, he struggled a lot and couldn't choose until he was literally forced to.

Thanks for answering. I'd be obsessed like you if I had discovered her earlier. That's such a bummer.
I thought maybe such a long lasting and loyal fan would archive her old and rare videos on external hard drives or blu-ray discs to keep them safe (that's what I do lol).
Stuff like behind the scenes, interviews, appearances on shows are almost impossible to find in their original quality, so I have to settle for compressed or really low quality videos, screenshots, or even GIFS lol.
But I have myself to blame for that. I got into the k-scene in 2010 and wasn't interested in k-dramas back then.
I miss young and short haired Hyo Joo.
Time is so cruel. I wish it would've stopped in 2008/2009 so HHJ wouldn't age.

bashful_harmony, I feel like you're the only person I can ask to since you're probably one of if not the biggest HHJ fan out there and been active/following her since the early beginning.
The demise of Megaupload made the searching and finding of old stuff almost impossible, so what remains is to ask die hards and hardcore fans like yourself.
Some time ago by miracle I managed to obtain Brilliant Legacy's Special on Ya Shim Man Man in 720p goodness. It took months for a good soul to pop up.
I know you've got a YT channel, and your photobucket account is great to check out old stuff, but do you archive your videos? I'm looking for 2008/2009 videos in particular, anything that's related to her from that timeframe, pre, during, and post Brilliant Legacy, like her appearances on 한밤의 TV연예 (SBS Night of TV Entertainment, which you can still find on SBS's website, but the quality is horrible and it's not even wide screen), because she was the cutest thing ever back then, and my biggest regret is not being aware of her until years later lol.
