Shannon from “Star King” signs with Core Contents Media

After causing quite a stir as a talented singer from the UK on “Star King“, Shannon Williams has signed with Core Contents Media.

On January 22nd, Core Contents expressed, “After watching her on ‘Star King,’ we were very interested in her due to her talents and her lovable face. We decided to sign her.”

Shannon appeared on “Star King” a total of three times last year and earned the nickname of “4 High Notes” because she can hit notes that most singers are unable to hit.

She’s only thirteen but her career is already blooming.

She is the child of a British father and a Korean mother, and she attended a performing arts school in the UK and learned how to act there. She’s been doing musicals since the age of seven.

Kim Kwang Soo, CEO of Core Contents Media, said, “I want to raise Shannon like the second BoA. She has a lot of potential and talent.”

She has been living in Korea these days and will start training to become a singer.

“Star King” celebrates its 200th episode

SBS’s “Star King” celebrated its 200th episode today, and revealed that they had over 3,600 guests on their show thus far.

Since its pilot episode, “Star King” dazzled its audience with their ability in being able to sniff out hidden talents, and turning talented nobodies into headlining stars the next day. Some of the guests featured on their show include Charice Pempengco (who turned into an international singing sensation), high school student Kim Ho Joong, and a 111 year old grandmother.

The show has also consistently added different segments to keep things fresh, such as their highly-successful ‘Diet King’ corner.

PD Bae Sung Woo commented, “Recently, night-time delivery men like Kim Seung-Il have been knocking on the doors of ‘Star King’ with moving life stories. I would like to personally thank MC Kang Ho Dong for giving his all in working with the participants, as well as the celebrity panelists.”

I was just wondering does anyone know which episode is the one where there is a really good massager and he massages Kang Ho Dong's neck/jaws/chins and makes it much thinner and a V Line?

I think there is 2 episodes where he comes out.

Hey dunno if anyone will see this, but can someone explain the features aspect of star king? Like the Train Me! and the other features, (its listed out on the wiki:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_King_(Korean_TV_show)), and I've watched star king but never really saw any mention of features or special segments where these are incorporated. Can someone explain, is this just how you audition?

@Akuni I never knew there was a Wiki page about Star King. HAHA! But, i dont know, for some reason when i read it, it doesnt really make sense much to me. About the features, i dont think its really called "features" its like another "corner" for a common talent that people have. Say for instance, the "Only Thing" or something like that, also Diet King. Recently, theres a corner for Soo Geun's too. Theres many other corners. However, they do mention it in Star King. I know i dont really make sense, but i hope you kinda understand. But its great to have questions here about the show, and not SUBS, it keeps the forum alive, which i like!
