I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Kim Soo Jung (김수정) and/or Jo Hye Rin (조혜린), the two little girl uljjangs that were on Star King?

If not, YOU'RE MISSING OUT! XD They're seriously the most adorable girls I have ever seen in my life... T__T

I couldn't really find much of Hye Rin, so I'll just do a little spam of Soo Jung. ^^ <3

There are ulzzang contests and stuff of american sites such as myspace and xanga US cyworld (although i'm not pretty enough to enter myself haha)

I know they're not that popular in the US but you'd be suprised at how many asians there are.

Are ulzzangs only for Korea? sorry if I misunderstood.

If that's either in US/Canadian dollars then that is a complete lie. Good investment bankers earn about $500,000 per year (on average). Senior engineers and Doctors don't even earn as much as that (probably only around $300,000 per year). In the news, they make a big deal if a North American athlete earns 4 million in 6 yrs. So I highly doubt she makes more than athletes in the West. In StarKing I think they said she earned 30,000 in one year but I don't know whether that's in dollars or korean won.

your contest explanation looks like a pretense to me. if she won any of these "ulzzang contests" then prove it, cuz she is SOOo average. i doubt she won anything, unless all the pretty people of the states died.

There's no need to bash the girl. She's actually pretty in an americanized sort of way.

As for these "american uhljjang" contests they actually are pretty popular.

The winners don't really get aknowleded the way the korean ones do.

I think you're overestimating the "fame" level of uhljjangs in Korea.

Pretty much only hardcore internet people are into them now, it's not that popular.

Cyworld does have an "uhljjang of the month" type of thing, but im pretty sure

that if I were to post one of those people on here I would get bashed as well.

Some of the "uhljjangs" posted here aren't even official, and are just pretty regular

people, or models that the soompi population took a liking too.
