Whaat!!?!?!?! Awwmg. Poor Jo! Maybe she should have left it at their 'cloakroom' or something. (I don't know where the event was). That's so unlucky and a bad experience for a first Uni social.

Usually I don't bring too much inside the place. Bring ID, phone and a small wallet at most. Well, I don't even bring a wallet cos I don't buy drinks at all and I go early so I don't need to pay for the entry fee. But that wasn't a social organized by ASIA/CS/MSU.

i can't say all of it was bad just the turning point was when pplz' stuff were getting stolen

i think that brought the mood down a lot

and yes people got drunk really really badly

I have never heard of alcohol-free events, unless they specifically say 'underaged event' which won't have alcohol for sure.

But you can't control people from not drinking alcohol, it's their choice. Even if they don't sell alcohol, nothing's stopping them from buying it elsewhere and bringing it in.

Australia drinking culture is pretty bad.

Most people (99.99%) go to get drunk anyway. (or drink a bit.) I'm the 0.01% that rejects people's offers one after another.

i don't drink either and when i turn 18 i probably wouldn't drink much either as well. i find it stupid when every1 goes around drinking as much alcohol as possible trying to prove something.
